Description of Work: Replaced 22-year-old decrepit low-quality original house furnace with new high-quality, 95% efficient furnace and blower. Replaced all ducts on lower floor and beneath house (crawlspace foundation) and partially on upper floor. |All Greiner personnel were committed, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. New furnace and ducts are saving us a lot of money on our gas and electric bill. Work performed passed state HVAC efficiency inspection with flying colors. |Greiner's is a bit more expensive than some other HVAC specialists in the area, but it's true that ya gets what ya pays for.

Description of Work: Replaced the boiler on our old radiant heating system in our house built in the 1940s. Researched how to make this work when other heating companies said "we don't do radiant heating". We are using Greiner's heating and air-conditioning service where they come out and check and clean the air conditioning and heating units every Fall and Spring.

Description of Work: Charged $79 to look at an AC system and determine that the blower was bad - which is what we had already told them when we called. That's fairly common, however, so, while annoying, isn't the reason for the low score. Tech immediately recommended replacing the whole HVAC system, which would include the cooling unit. When I asked if he had checked the cooling unit, he said the $79 only included diagnosis of the problem so he couldn't check that that part of the system. So I was supposed to spend $5,000 - $7,000 to replace equipment without them even checking the existing system was working correctly. In any case, I got a second opinion from another company - free - and also got a lower price for the repair. Their prices are high and they seem more interested in selling upgrades than providing service.

Description of Work: We have had them for our central heating and air for about a decade now. We have a service agreement with them to come and clean and evaluate (preventative maintenance) the system twice a year for "free". All of the employees have been very friendly and trustworthy, so they do hire for quality of character. Cost of replacement parts...even though they say they are discounted through the service agreement we pay for monthly...meh. But they do come in and do it right the first time and are not sloppy. Our air system is over 10 years old (installed by them from previous owners) and it has had no interruptions in service and we have maintained its parts through them. Still works like a champ. They do of course try to sell me a new one, but I am waiting till it dies.

Description of Work: They did an annual furnace check. They arrived on time, checked the furnace, checked the vents, and made sure my thermostat settings were OK. I have an annual service contract with Greiner, which keeps their prices fair, but the $11/month charge does add up after a while.

The home has unusual architecture that presents some interesting challenges getting the air flow right. These guys are pros. I will definitely use them in the future. Good People

They came the next day & after fixing the ac did an inspection on the heater. They found the control was leaking gas. Because this furnace was over 30 years old, they suggested it be replaced especially because there was a small baby living in the unit. We made an appointment to have someone come out to give us an estimate on new furnace.
