They do good work. They're reasonable. I've had no problems with them. Nothing but good service. He tried to sell me another air conditioning unit but it was a no pressure sale.

They are clean, responsible and prompt. They are organized. The staff are very good, professional and courteous people.

My heat pump was not working at all. I had another company out that went through the system and told me that it was so old that I should just buy a new system at around $7000. They offered to try replacing the compressor for about $1000,but said they did not know if that would fix the problem. I then had Greiner out to see what they would charge for a compressor and if necessary what they would charge to install a new system. They came out the same day. The service person replaced the batteries in the thermostat and voila! heat!

They are very professional, trustworthy and honest. They were very easy to work with.

We live in Washington, the tenants in our rental home in Dixon reported issues with the AC system. I selected Greiner because they had installed the central heating and air conditioning system several years earlier. Greiner was able to dispatch a technician the same day I called. After inspecting the system he called me with the details of the problem. The tenant hadn't cleaned or replaced the filter for several months and it was completely clogged. As a result of this situation the motor had been straining to circulate the air and was leaking some oil. He explained the situation, offered options that were realistic and explained subsequent consequences. I purchased a washable filter, because the needed filter size was hard to locate and this would allow the tenants to clean the filter monthly. I also purchased a maintenance program, which will reduce my costs when the motor fails and also provides some peace of mind with their semi annual check of the condition of the system.ed

My wife and I shopped around on Angie's list to find someone to come out and inspect 33 year old heater and A/C in our recently purchased house. Both units were performing very poorly, and several vents in our house were not producing any air flow at all, and the rest barely had any air coming out. After collecting a few price quotes and dealing with people from several companies (whoa all said that both units should be replaced), we decided to go with Greiner because of their excellent product warranty, and the politeness of their employees we had dealt with. They were very clean when in the house, always wearing boot covers, and didn't leave any mess when they finished installing our two units. I would highly recommend using Greiner, we even continue to use them for servicing our heater.

They are excellent. They are always accessible. They are also polite, honest, and their prices are fair. They do not try to push any un necessary service. They also run specials frequently. My friends are also happy with their service.

We had to pay up front for the furnace, but we were able to take advantage of a lot of rebates which cut the costs by about 50%. I believe they have been in business for 20+ years and service several surrounding communities. They are not the cheapest, but the quality of their work is worth the cost. There were two technicians that came out and they were able to complete the work efficiently. It is set up so that if we add an air conditioning unit it will be easier to install.

I had a consultation as to what kind of furnace would be best beforehand so I had options available. We set an appointment date. They had two workmen that came in who completely dissembled the old furnace. They cleaned up after themselves and installed the new furnace and tested it repeatedly to make sure it worked. They took the extra time to make sure that everything worked properly before leaving. They even came back two days later to do another check and then another check a month later to make sure that everything was still working properly. They were all very professional, clean, and efficient.

We have a standing yearly contract with them to service our heating and air. They are very professional. We've been using their service for five years now. They put in our new heating and air five years ago so it's under warranty.

They come out and service our system twice a year with the seasons. I am billed $11 monthly and I have been very happy. The things worked perfectly; they keep it tuned up. They spend about an hour working on it and I do like the service. The guys put booties on when they come in so they don't mark up my rug. They are a keeper. They call ahead to let me know when they are coming for the service. They are always on time and are very professional. They always explain what they have done. It is a family business and has been for a long time. I will continue to use this company.

We had been aware of a crack in our heater by another heating company and though we were taking bids for this project in May we asked our date for installation be pushed to the end of June; which was not a problem. Everything is guaranteed for 2 years, after installation, we liked that guarantee a lot! The install guys, Hector and Francisco, were prompt and worked efficiently. They made sure the equipment was all working properly and the garage was clean before leaving at the end of the day. When they worked within the home, installing the ceiling registers and checking air ducts, they wore red paper covers over their shoes so they didn't track dirt into the house. This was great as I didn't have to cover the floor with drop cloth or newspapers. I found these installers cheerful and they really seemed to love their job. I also found the phone staff (Theresa and Sara) helpful and courteous. I am very happy with the performance of the American Standard products and will recommend Greiner highly to anyone who needs a new heater or a/c.

Greiner representative was friendly and professional, so I was inclined to believe him when he recommended about $2000 worth of duct replacement, claiming that our ducts were outdated and broken. My husband was skeptical though, so we called a well-recommended local company for a second opinion. Their advice was that only about $400 worth of cleaning and wrapping needed to be done and that the duct work was up-to-date. We hired them to complete the work and have never had a problem since with the HVAC.

They are not good. I have a monthly contract with them to check the heating and air conditioning systems. They told me that there was a problem with the heater and that it was a dangerous situation. They red tagged it. They told me that if I used it there could be carbon monoxide poisoning. I thought I had to buy a new furnace. I started getting bids. In calling around, I happened to talk to the owner of another company. He told me that he was getting quite a few complaints about this company. He had heard that they were telling people the same thing that was said to me and were selling new heaters, which were not needed. He suggested that I call the gas and electric company. They would come out for free and do a full inspection. I did as he suggested. They told me that there was nothing wrong with the furnace. They spent a lot of time examining it and said that the problems did not exist and that I could use the furnace. I think Greiner Heating & Air Conditioning was making up the problems in order to sell me a new heater. I would have spent thousands of dollars to replace the furnace when it was not necessary. I will not use them again in the future. I would suggest that if you have used them already and they have told you about any problems, you get another opinion on the same, before you go on to replace the furnace. They advertise a lot. I had bought the heater from them earlier. I felt that they were either inexperienced or they were lying to get more business.

They first came out on 12/15 to service the units and give us an estimate to replace them. The service work was only $90. The experience was fantastic. Carlos came out to do the servicing work and he was more than informative. I was curious because I wanted to know how the system worked and I asked him a bunch of questions. He showed up and explained every step as he was servicing, cleaning and doing the tune up. He was very tidy and cleaned up after himself. He was very polite and very friendly. He was actually familiar with the area where we live so he was telling me about where he grew up. He was friendly and informative. It was almost like a very well rounded, what you might call bedside manner, if you were going to apply doctor terminology to furnace services. It was a good experience. There wasn't anything that we disliked about them. Carlos told us straight out that they were not the cheapest people on the market but it was because of all the different guarantees and everything they provided us. We were amazed at all the different coverages they gave us. It was all a default that came with the product. He told us that they were not the most affordable but at the same time we felt like it was definitely worth the cost. We definitely got high quality work. They were so timely. Something got cancelled and Carlos was here anyway. They were very responsive. The guys were a little early and they waited in the van until it was time to come in to do the installation. They were highly professional. We would use them in the future and we would recommend them.

The technician and installers were punctual and overall did an excellent job. I did need to call Greiner to inquire about the city inspector coming out to sign off on the permit. It is a good year to get replacements since you can get up to a $1500 tax credit in 2010.

Excellent. The job was quick and competent. Also, we had talked to them about installing a more environmentally friendly unit, since we are on propane, but once we discussed it with them we realized it was beyond our financial means right now so we stuck with the gas type that we already had. No pressure and great to work with. Everybody showed up on time and supervisors followed up afterward with on-site check up. Another nice feature is their 12-month same as cash which really helps given the very sad state of the economy right now.

Excellent. Our goal was to be more efficient in our energy usage and save money in the long run. We live in the country and had heated with propane; our AC is on electricity. Greiner's did a terrific job working with us to figure out how to identify how we can save on fossil fuel and money. We converted the heating system to electric heat pump. Greiner's staff was knowledgeable, competent, fast and friendly; our project manager was Marc Bigby. We had the system installed in the spring and we began to see savings then, and expect more now that the weather is turning cooler; 10 years P & L warranty, lifetime compressor parts warranty. Two other things we really appreciated was their 6 months, same as cash offer, plus they helped us get a PG&E rebate for $750 since we installed energy-saving equipment (so the net cost to us after the rebate was $10,836). Also we have a monthly contract with Greiner (about $11 per month), that warranties all the HVAC work plus they check and clean the ducts once a year. I don't know how to compare the price, too high or refreshingly low, but obviously it was very expensive to do this change out so that is why I did not rate an "A" on the price. We had used Greiner for our monthly maintenance service so we just went with them for this work.

My central air has not cooled my house properly since I moved in 6 years ago. I thought the unit might be too small. I called another Davis heating and air company and they were unsure what to do, and wanted me to have the owner come look at the unit. I didn't get around to it that summer, but this year I called Greiner. They said my unit was just the right size for my house, and replaced one part which they thought might be causing the unit to work inefficiently. My house has been much cooler since then. Before when it was over 100, I couldn't get it below 84 inside. Now I can get it where I want it, at 78-80 degrees.

The price listed is what I pay per month. If any additional repairs are needed, they give me a special price. They are very nice and pleasant people.
