From the first contact, Mike listened carefully to the cabinetry we envisioned for our den and great room. He made suggestions that enhanced our vision creating a rich looking wall to wall bookcase for the den and wall to wall cabinet for the great room that included specifically designed space for media equipment, open shelves for books, drawers and doored cabinets for CD's and quilts. He matched the stain of the den bookcase to compliment the wood flooring and the paint for the great room cabinet to match the off-white color of the fire place mantel and kitchen cabinets. His installer was professional and meticulous and clearly took pride in his work. The pieces are magnificent; we love how they've customized our home; all our visitors compliment the work, and we highly recommend Rich and Mike's Cabinets without reservation.

We called Rich and Mike's to see if they could make us an interior door for our new woodbox. We weren't sure they would accept the job as it was only one door. There was no problem with the small job and Rich provided us an estimate using our drawing and dimensions for the door. The door was completed in the time frame promised and the price remained the same. The workmanship was excellent and we would recommend this company and use them again.

We were leery of even seeking bids from a custom cabinet shop because of cost concerns, but we did so at the suggestion of our contractor. We were very pleasantly surprised to discover that Rich and Mike's could match a bid we had received for modular cabinets whose design would have forced us to reduce the number of drawers from nine to 3 in one of the baths and were unattractive in a number of other ways as well. Mike came down to measure and discuss our preferences, including our wishes for a finish stain. When we received the first set of working drawings, we changed our mind about a couple of features, emailed Mike to that effect, and within a day or two received a completely new set of drawings. The cabinets were delivered on schedule and installed by Jeff, whose experience, competence and friendliness were plainly evident. Put simply, we were bowled over by the craftsmanship and beautiful finish of our cabinets. Incidentally, we found no difficulty whatsoever with a shop outside of the immediate Sacramento area.
