+ 4 moreDuring our remodel we used Dan at Goffe Enterprises for many items (listed below). Since the quality of his work was so good we just kept using him. Other contractors were used for various items, some of whom were the highest rated contractors on Angies List, and while the quality of their work was also excellent, none provided both the quality and the degree concern for doing what was best for us and our project. Dan helped select and manage other contractors, representing our interests and making those contractors accountable to him on our behalf. BIG value add! Rare is the contractor whose sphere of concern goes beyond their sphere of responsiblity, muchless far beyond. Dan is a rare bird in this sense and provided us the highest value of any contractor, and by a wide margin. Our results were fantastic. I cannot reccommend this contractor highly enough.
Description of Work: Plumbing - All bathroom sinks, kitchen sink, laundry room sink, garbage disposals, all faucets, tubs, showers, toilets, and washer/dryer. Plumbed and installed of all of these items. Also wired, plumbed and installed new Propane cooktop, oven/microwave combo, warming drawer, range vent, and wine captain. Electrical - Installed canned lighting (Dan's suggestion) throughout the house (55 cans). Installed cabinet lights. Ran wiring to allow replacement of all switches with dimmable units and wired rooms for ceiling fans with seperate fan/light controls. Installed new electrical outlets throught house and well as relocating and removing outlets as requested. Ran new power legs from the breaker box to supply additional power where needed. Installed new smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. Designed and Installed Audio/Video system in a remote closet and wired all rooms for voice, Cat-6 data, and video, including sattellite speakers (with separate volume switches). Also installed a fiber optic HDMI extender and Infrared repeaters. Installed a centralized media panel and terminated all low voltage wiring in the panel. Wall mounted all televisions. This made for an extraordinarily clean installation with no wires or equipment visable anywhere. General - Installed Whole house fan (a very quiet one), built attic storage area and installed access door with ladder, installed new garden window, and moved joyces as required to install speakers at our desired locations.
