I called Roy in a pannic as I needed a ceiling fan repaired/installed before I was leaving town the next morning. Roy was booked that day but said he could be out first thing the next morning. I declined as I preferred to have someone same day. After I was stood up by another handyman, I called Roy back. He was still able to squeeze me in the next morning. Around 3PM that day Roy called and said he could come out that day vs the next morning. Perfect! He came out and installed the ceiling fan. Work was done well. Only $90. I couldn't have been happier. The only thing I wish I had during the 3 years of owning this condo is Roy's number!

Roy's Home Repair & Services worked for me last time in May 2012. Overall I would give him a B. The gate and everything he built he did great. He painted some plasterwork on the outside. And he did a patch around some French Doors and he did fine and he cleaned up pretty well. He was very responsive.

I have used this company a number of times and the most recent experience with them was good. One guy did the work and this company is reliable, reasonable and detailed. His prices have changed and he does not always quote me what I want.

Roy was professional and very efficient! He was able to fix my dishwasher after the company with which I have a warranty with could not. He had a difficult job to do because the dishwasher cord was hard to reach. He remained cheerful and positive throughout the entire service call. I would definitely recommend him!

Effortless. It was great getting something done that I had no idea how to do. Clean, quick and all in the same day and at a great price too. Home Depot wanted to charge me almost twice what I paid and that didn't include painting the door and supplies not to mention it was so hard to get anyone to help you there let alone someone who knew what they were doing. Also at Home Depot getting a time for them to come out was very difficult. I am very happy with my experience with Roy.

After a frustrating experience trying to get Home Depot to install a garbage disposal I canceled the installation and called Roy. He sceduled the installation promptly, did a professional replacement of the existing disposal, cleaned up and took the old disposal for recyclying. Roy was courteous, professional, and personable. Will use him for any further handman services. His price was even slightly less than Home Depot would have charged. Excellent service.

My family once hired Roy for some small repairs. Two years later I called Roy from Seattle to have work done in Palm Springs. Roy remembered the house, and my family, and responded in a professional and expedient manner. He did a wonderful job and he facilitated the long-distance transaction with ease. I would hire Roy again happily. He was skilled, reliable and dependable.

Roy came three separate days: On the first day he replaced a bathroom faucet, installed new drain pipes and supply pipes under the sink as well, and changed the valve in a very old shower. The valve snapped off inside so he spent the whole day solving the problem. He bought a special tool and some lime away in order to get the valve out. Then replaced it. Whaaa - la. I am thoroughly enjoying a shower that turns off and on effortlessly and bathroom faucet that works the same (and drains beautifully). Second day: We requested drain cleaning near the kitchen sink. Roy found some kind of tar like/sandy substance inside the drains and showed it to us. So he rented a pressure washer to get it cleaned out, then went under the house to check all pipes for leakage. This turned into another all day project. My husband was home during the process and was happy about the work. It wasn't just a roter rooter clean out. My husband said he's never seen anyone do such a thorough job. Third day: We needed a new garbage disposal and a new kitchen faucet. Roy shopped for these items for us and we were pleased with his choices. He installed the new faucet and disposal, putting in new drain and supply pipes underneath. He actually rebuilt it, not just replaced it. Another thorough job.

Excellent, He went through and evaluated each job, telling me how much it would cost. His work is first rate and I will use him as long as I am in the same area! And he is coming back today and do some painting for me, he is very professional and efficient. If you have several small jobs, he doesn't complain he completes each job,and moves from one job to the next without fanfare

He arrived as scheduled. He is a no nonsense, very hard working man and really knows what he is doing. His work is first rate. I will definitely call him again when problems arise.

Our kitchen faucet was leaking and had to be replaced. We bought a new Grohe stainless steel replacement, and as so often happens, the old faucet failed over the weekend, and we urgently called Roy and explained our situation. He agreed to come by our house at 8 a.m. on Monday morning to replace the faucet complex. Roy was right on time and quickly determined that in addition to the leaking faucet the cold/hot water shutoffs under the sink were frozen and inoperable. Roy replaced everything within 3 hours (including trips to the store), and now all items function perfectly. Once the job was done, Roy told us that we would have to purchase a faucet hole cover to plug a hole in our granite because our replacement choice had one fewer outlets than the original. To our surprise and utter delight, Roy showed up later in the afternoon with a hole cover that we needed. Imagine that!!

He arrived exactly on time and did the work exactly as we had discussed. Yes, I would definitely hire him again. He is reliable, knowledgeable and hard working.

After being contacted, Roy came to our house for a free estimate the next day, and completed the work the day after. Roy has an amazing collection of tools, which allowed him to completed a very difficult task in taking apart the steel shelves. These shelves were 7 feet tall, 12 feet long and weighed more than 2 men could move. Roy is pleasant, punctual, reliable and a solid communicator. Roy works very completely. Once he begins, he works to finish the task, no matter the obstacles he encounters. He hauled everything away and cleaned up the residual mess. Roy was thoughtful enough to lay down cardboard on our driveway just in case he truck leaked oil.......it didn't, but how kind. A truly lovely experience.

Excelled job on both tasks asked of him...he is returning to do additonialjobs.

It didn't take him any time at all to fix the problem. I am so grateful I was able to find him on Angie's List because I felt confident that I was hiring a good company.

Roy returned my contact call in an appropriate amount of time. He listened to my requests, made suggestions when appropriate. The work he preformed is to my satisfaction,

The quote was way too high. He was very nice and came when he said he was going to come. He was fine.

The work took much longer than anticipated. His knowledge of the work was not what was advertised. There were a few things that he did not know that I, as a laymen, knew. I was a little disappointed there. The work he did was average. The pricing was OK. After the estimate was given, he kept coming back for more money. He was not clear on what the estimate included, which made a sour relation at the end. He was not very professional. I would not use this company again.

He was very nice but did not service my area.
