The project was bid well until contractor started then explained project needed to be put on hold until paid for last job as there was no money for material on this job. I decided, stupidly, that for added work of windows on bunkhouse, I would go and pick up and pay for materials with list. This quickly turned into a send me six to eight miles to town for everything contractor forgot daily. Contractor did not have people or equipment to clean up tear off of house siding so husband and I hauled off with our equipment and unloaded ourselves at our cost at dump, added first trip to a door install second to a door on bunkhouse and third etc.. Siding job was subcontracted out to people who did not frame well, match up seams, did not cut vet holes until I pointed out problem. Contractor stared with a good team, People stopped showing up within first week, contractor claimed to have fired painters in the middle of painting house over disagreement. Her best builder quit before end of project stating he could not keep up with problems.Contractor hired a subcontractor, framer, named Chuck Middleton 208-9075, who then made the biggest mess with $2500 worth of treated lumber you have ever seen. He put nails in every place there was to be screws and contractor did not stop him when I found him doing so.He also knocked a hole into new siding at top of deck and never fixed it.I We had to tear out more than half the work, very unsafe, contractor brought in another subcontractor who did much better however he quit before he finished. We had to hire another contractor to fix and finish . Very expensive deck.Contractor never finished the house. We had to call and call for months to try and get windows finished and we will have to finish what is left. Contractor ripped off old shutters bid new and never replaced. Had me purchase a very large window for bunkhouse received a deal if I bought two, she wanted second, purchased both and both are sitting in yard still un installed. Each person she had paint, if they over sprayed contractor would say that is fine we will come in and clean up when finished, I have over spray everywhere , house and bunkhouse. Contractor also goes by OkieCalie or CalieOkie and shows a builders license from California and Oklahoma permit. Lesson, when you purchase the materials the contractor has no vested interest in what happens to them ! Paint , lumber, etc. We were out the cost of lumber and materials at no cost to contractor !
