JEC Handyman - Unlicensed Contractor

Jose responded to my inquiry promptly. Check the job out and gave me an estimate within a day. The job was done quickly and satisfactorily the day after I accepted his estimate. I would definitely recommend Jose and will use him again.

I had very simple sprinkler repair. Was negotiating the price which was sky high and he had the nerve to try to say it was because of parts which I knew were only $1.50 each for three pieces. When he came to do the job I actually provided one that I had on hand. He did not want to do what I wanted him to for the price, he basically capped off half my yard because was easier for him. He left old sprinkler parts laying on the ground. Did not throw them away or even give them to me. He never smoothed out the ground when done. It looks awful. I needed other yard work done that he said he didnt do but his father did and was **cheap**. He said he would have him come to give an estimate. Nope. Never came. And these things would have helped me give him a better review. I dont recommend this guy unless you are independently wealthy and could care less how your money is thrown away. Only took him ten minutes and that worked out to $420 hr. At a reduced price no less. Time will tell if the work holds. I gave three stars assuming it to be average-good. A ten-year-old could have done it. I just didn not know any. - Sorry JEC

José is fantasticâ friendly, helpful, and professional! Heâ s helped me fix a door that someone ripped out of the wall. It was such a good experience Iâ m using him from now on.

Hired to replace wood fence section and gate of fence. Used screws instead of nails to increase stability of fence. Square post next to fence had rotted in ground causing fence gate to hang at an angle and drag on ground. Had to ask JEC to replace post since replacing post was not considered part of the project. Did not charge more for replacing post. Gate worked well after post replaced. Learned importance of clear communication with hiring. Late 2-3 hours both days. Had to call JEC to ask if he was coming. Forgot to come finish job on second day. Had to call JEC to come finish job. We are happy with finished project.

Part of work was done well ( hung picture) ,part of work done not OK (shade mounted such that it could not be operated by short person, grout applied did not hold ),one job did not get completed (replacement for burner knobs) .

Very easy to work with...produced a plan of action and worked the plan to perfection...

Quick response time. They were able to do everything on my list. I was very pleased with their work.

After the gutter service be sure and get a price BEFORE getting anything else done.

Jose allowed me to change his arrival time at the last minute and -he was early- when he arrived. Job well done!!

Job was completed timely and satisfactorily. Cleanup was 95% OK, but maybe I'm too picky. Jose exercised some "artistic license" on one aspect of the job without consulting me first. The change was already underway when I first noticed it. Fortunately, I liked the revision better than the original concept; however, I think he should have consulted me before commencing with any change on any aspect of the job. All said, I am happy with his work, and do plan to hire him again on an upcoming project. I recommend him to others in need of handyman services.

JEC-Though he is unlicensed contractor he is reliable. Every time I called him he is always come. He recommended a few things for the improvement on my property so I told him next time.
