Description of Work: Water heater replacement

Description of Work: Received a quote for proposed work which was not accurate. Of course, didn't know that until after getting another estimate. Was told that more extensive work was required than what actually was needed. I did not use Hall's.

Description of Work: What a truly awful experience!!! We had used Halls plumbing in the past as a local business. But, this was beyond a scam! The rep came out and wanted to oversell us on a major insurance claim job for a simple leak under the kitchen sink and a leak coming out of the dishwasher drain hose. He starts telling me how I have to contact my homeowner's insurance to get it classified as a "sudden rupture" so that he could proceed to pull out my granite countertops, my flooring, pull out the stainless steel sink, etc. Then he goes to local supplier to find a dishwasher hose and returns saying he can't do it and I need to contact an appliance store to repair the hose. But, he says he got the new "connector" for the under the sink leak and can put that in now. So, I say ok. He leaves. Then, boom, a worse leak begins to spring from all over, he obviously did not tighten or check the connection. I then call the owner "Bill" and tell him it is worse than ever, and he refuses to do anything about it! I try to tighten the thing myself after his botched job, but to no avail.

Description of Work: replaced rubber seals in both hot and cold water valves of shower

Description of Work: Replaced leaking irrigation feed gate valve with a ball valve. Needed to replace some PVC pipe with copper and put in a soldered valve instead of a threaded one. Excellent job.

Description of Work: Experienced total blockage of main sewer line, clear up into the house. We tried to snake the line with a rented snake, but it would not work properly. Called Hall's, they were here in one hour. They snaked the line but some blockage remained. They came back next morning to jet the line, which cleared the blockage. Estimates were given in advance. Their knowledge and skill in situations like this really impressed me.

Description of Work: Replaced existing gas water heater, replaced laundry room sink faucets, and re-plumbed a shutoff valve for outside water. Work was done as scheduled, with good materials and good workmanship.

Description of Work: The company rep came on 7/7/2011 in response to my call on 7/6/2011 regarding my leaking water heater. He checked out the water heater. It was 13 years old. He offered two choices. The lesser expensive one was to just replace the intake lines where the leak appeared to be. The second choice was to replace the water heater and bring the installation up to code. Woodland now requires all water heaters to have an expansion tank installed with the heater to adjust pressures as a result of the city's new water meters. He explained that AOS was the brand he would install, because they have a good record with warranty issues. I asked to have a new water heater, expansion tank and whatever else was needed to ensure meeting the code. He wrote up the quote of $1450 and checked his schedule. There was time the next day to do the work. He said installation would take about 2 1/2 hours. I requested an afternoon slot because I had a doctor's appointment in the morning. So a time was set for 1p.m. on Friday, July 8th. On Friday, the installer and his assistance arrived at 12:50p.m. and began work. They were finished by 3p.m. They were polite and professional. They were happy to answer by questions about the heater and the installation. I was very pleased with my experience with this company. They were professional, helpful, willing to work around my schedule, and did everything we had agreed on. I recommend Hall's Plumbing!

Description of Work: Sewer Line replacement; trenchless method. The work was done ontime, onbudget, and very professionally.

Description of Work: Hall's Plumbing repaired a diverter valve in the shower that was installed improperly. I have used them in the past, too.

Description of Work: Two kitchen faucets and 1 shower handle were replaced. Came to the house and gave an estimate then followed through the next day with repairs. Very professional and reliable.

Description of Work: Unclogged toilet. Service call which is always more expensive. Plumber was awesome. Gave me helpful hints, very courteous. Took 5 minutes. Same day service.

Description of Work: The kitchen drain was clogged. I had already removed the trap and determined that the clog was downstream of the trap. Also the master bathroom shower had been draining slowly. I called Hall's Plumbing at about 11:15 AM on a Tuesday morning. The man answering the phone said they would be here after 1:00 PM and that they would call. I never got a call but Wyatt did show up at 1:02 PM. He cleaned out both the shower and the kitchen drain.

Description of Work: Came to fix kitchen sink leak, and put in a new faucet.

Description of Work: Remove old and install new toilet with seat, no new valves.

Description of Work: They replaced the shower faucet and head. I had opened the walls, and it was ready for them to install the new valves and shower head. They offered to supply the plumbing faucet, or I could buy one from the home depot. I chose to buy one from the depot. As he was working, he offered to raise the shower head so I could fit under it without stooping for no extra charge.

Description of Work: They repaired a leak below at the second floor toilet and two leaks in the toilet.

Description of Work: THIS COMPANY FIXED A CRACKED PIPE THAT WAS UNDERGROUND FROM THE HOUSE TO THE SEPTIC TANK.
