YCCC was the beneficiary of Brooks Painting yearly charity effort. They were fantastic!! The effort and work was outstanding. They were very professional and committed to a quality job. They are very community oriented. I plan on using them when my house needs painting and I have recommended them to several friends who have all been very satisfied.

We got a quote a couple of months ago when we started the remodel project. They were the only contractor that insisted on coming out and doing a survey of the house. As time moved on we made changes in the scope and they were reasonable in their accommodation of our changes, even on the day they started work we added a couple more rooms and the cost change was very reasonable. Our cabinets are oak and we had then painted bright white. This is a difficult change, oak can be very porous. This required a fair amount of detailing on the edges to get the doors right. They arrived on schedule each morning and finished the project in the projected amount of time. They were neat and professional. The only issue I would like to see addressed is the paint dust. Because it was getting cold we had to run the heat and it spread paint dust all over that we need to do a through cleaning to handle. This would be true of any interior spray painting... perhaps they could have a big HEPA vacuum that followed the painter! Overall they did a great job and we are very happy

We did not hire them as they could not get to our job in a timely fashion. We hired another company that was over $100 less and who could do the work within a week

The work and service was top notch from the estimate through the end of the job. The person that provided the estimate was responsive and provided excellent suggestions. The painters took pride in their work and made sure the job was done right. The painters kept me informed on what they were doing. The painters also provided great suggestions. My phone calls to the office were handled very quick and professionally.

They were very professional, punctual and responsive. They originally said the job would be done in one day, but the walls ended up needing a second coat and they adjusted their schedule to ensure that the job was completed the next day.

The crew could not have been more professional. They did thorough prep work and very neat painting. Paint was both sprayed and rolled, and a generous amount of paint was applied. I could not have been more satisfied. I would not consider using anyone else in the future.

The work crew arrived on date and time as promised. The project took five days. There was a crew chief who was present for all the time needed, but other workers rotated in and out. The work was performed efficiently but not rushed. The crew was very deliberate in their efforts and were careful to not disturb or disfigure any part of the house. Crew chief was exceptionally personable and freely provided painting and maintenance tips to the owners. They gave us all the paint not used and tossed in some sanding sponges as a bonus. The owners followed-up to determine our satisfaction and were very concerned that we were completely satisfied. We were, and have since recommended them to friends and neighbors.

Brook's Painting stained the exterior of our home and we were extremely pleased with their professionalism and the quality of their work. When the Cabot stain that they had used started failing less than a year later we called them back. They came right out and said that they would handle it for us. According to the manufacturer it couldn't be done until the product deteriorated more. Our only complaint against Brooks was that they could have kept on top of Cabot a bit better and kept us better informed during the 18 months before it was redone. That said, they did another professional job the second time around and we were very happy in the end.

Initial contact by Brooks Painting was very good. There was initially a computer glitch in that my online request didn't make it to the office, but in a follow up phone call to them to inquire about why I hadn't been contacted yet regarding an estimate appt, was offered a date / time for an estimate that was convenient with my schedule. Reasonable estimate and all work that was to be done was detailed and explained. The painter that came was very courteous and called prior to coming. Our paint job, which was initially going to take place over two days due to scheduling, was changed to a single day of painting. The prep work was fair. I had wished that the painter would have sanded down some of the rough wood installation done by the door installers, helped make some of the finishing nails less noticeable, or remove some of the area of too much caulk prior to painting. The overall paint job was excellent. Did a great job with protecting any of the surrounding areas not to be painted. Two coats of paint went on and the door is nice and smooth without any noticeable irregularities. There were two very small areas near the glass inset of the door that were missed (presumably where paint that was adherent to tape came off), but this was easily retouched by ourselves with a small arts and crafts paintbrush and the leftover paint provided by Brooks Painting. I know that Brooks Painting would have probably come out to do this (based on their guaranty), but I didn't want to take extra time off work with something that literally took two minutes to do. Overall, very pleased and would call Brooks Painting for future painting needs.

We are happy with the Brooks Painting Inc. Their choice of color was wonderful. I will use them in the future.

Harold (Bud) Lind arrived at 7am as promised (paint is provided by the customer). He took great care protecting my brand new carpet (care is always taken, new carpet or not). He moved my heaviest pieces for me and moved them where I wanted them when he completed the job.He was finished with my den by 3 pm. I was extremely happy with the result as always. I have used Brooks many times before and no longer hire anyone else to paint. He also took time to go through my house to give me an idea of how much time and approximate expense there could be for other jobs I needed done.

My husband and I were looking to remodel our kitchen, family room, and formal dining room cabinets. Rather than replace our existing cabinets and built-ins we opted to have them all painted white. After receiving several bids from different painting companies in the area, we met Jeremy with Brooks Painting who came out to bid on the project. From the moment I met Jeremy I was impressed. The way our business was handled from the moment I made the first phone call was organized and professional. The bid process was very thorough and Jeremy went over every detail and answered every question I had. He also provided us with excellent amounts of written information to back up everything he said about the process and gave us relevant references of folks who had similar work done in their homes. I have to admit that Brooks’ bid was not the most inexpensive bid that we received; in fact, it was the highest. However, we knew that when it came to our remodel, the size and scope of the project, and the detail that was involved in painting cabinets, we could not take the chance on potentially sacrificing quality for price. We had such great interaction with Jeremy at that point that we felt we could trust that they would do the job well and that it was worth the price. And it was. Brooks completely exceeded our expectations for this project. The crew showed up a week before (just as Jeremy indicated they would) to walk through the job with me and answer any questions and give last minute instructions. The week of the scheduled job the crew was here every day they said they would be at the time they said they were coming. The amount of prep (which is everything in painting) that went into our job was incredible – our house was a sea of paper and painters tape. But I could not have been happier with the lengths that they went to in order to ensure our house and our things were protected. That was even before the painting started. The actual cabinets came out beautiful once they were done – even better than I originally hoped. The job was finished on time and on schedule and the crew was great about cleaning everything up before they left. They even came back a week or two later to do a couple of minor touch ups after we had lived with the job for a bit. Their follow up and customer service has been beyond anything I’ve seen in the world of contractors (and I have worked with many). They are truly an organization that not only stands behind their work 100%, but operates with the utmost integrity. We would definitely recommend Brooks Painting and would most certainly hire them for other jobs based on our experience. Thanks to them I now have my dream kitchen!

I don’t remember the price charged by them, but they were fair. I liked that they did an excellent job. They came back and helped me with an issue that wasn’t their responsibility. They were friendly. They cleaned up after their work everyday. They were prompt and they were here when they said they would be here. They worked really hard all day long. The owner is also the estimator and he is very integral. So, I appreciated that.

They were very professional and the quality of work was good. I will use them again in the future.

Their bid was almost double what I ended up paying. They seemed very professional, the quote was free, and they followed up with a nice letter. They were very thorough; they gave me a folder with a checklist of questions to ask, they took measurements of everything so they could get the prices, and they laid out their warranties for me. Everything was really specific. I wanted to use them but the price difference was so big that I couldn’t justify it.

They are honest with the details and provide an accurate quote. They ask all of the necessary questions to make sure they get the job done to our satisfaction. Their workers were good and use a team approach. We have known people that have completely remodeled their home and said they wish they would have used Brooks. Other people that we have known to use Brooks have always been happy with their experience. The job was great. They are coming back to paint our front door.

They came in with a good price. They scheduled their work. They got the work done. There were some weather issues, they responded to that. They were pretty much top quality.

They arrived when promised, took all the doors to the shop, prepped and painted the frames on site and the door and drawers at the shop. The completed the whole job in four days, even with the prime coat and two finish coats. the crew was professional and well organized. It was a pleasure to have them working here.

We got the bid in March 2010 and scheduled the work for April. It rained and we postponed it. It rained again in May and June on our scheduled days, so we postponed the work until July. The crew arrived on a thankfully clear day, set up, did the prep work, painted, and cleaned up within five days. They were pleasant, thoughtful of the family here, and professional in every way.

The paint job looks great!. Our house went from a rather drab and dingy beige to a fabulous blue with dark brown shingles. Jeremy helped us with the final color decisions, trim choices, etc. They applied color samples so we could get a better idea on how the color would look on our house. THe paint job from start to finish was four days. The crew was professional, careful, courteous, and friendly. They did a great job cleaning up and even installed a few lamps for us. We are very happy with the way the paint job turned out. It's amazing difference from before.

Because apartments around UC Davis often get handed from tenant to tenant without undergoing a true turnaround (which usually involves a thorough cleaning and repainting) my new apartment hadn't been painted in about 6 years--and you could really tell. On top of that, the management's chosen wall color was a beige that made the place feel dark and dirty. I needed my place painted, and FAST. My apartment also had grimy, dark brown laminate cabinets in the galley kitchen. They were ugly and dirty, and in places the laminate was peeling away from the underlying particle board. I could tell immediately from my interactions with Jeremy Brooks that his was the company to hire. My impression of Jeremy was that he is highly professional and takes great pride in making sure the job gets done well. He did not seem like the kind of person who would cut corners. I'm pleased to report that the work confirms my initial impression. Jeremy gave me an estimate on Thursday. The following Monday I left my key and paint colors with the Brooks Co office staff before I went on vacation. On Tuesday (the day before the scheduled start day), the painter called me to see if there was anything I wanted him to know and to give me his contact info before he started the work. I came back on Sunday to what seemed like a brand new apartment. The work was beautiful, with no sloppy bits and no paint where paint shouldn't be. Best of all, the cabinets look so good that you hardly notice the mustard-colored laminate counter anymore! Some people might think I'm crazy for spending this kind of money on an apartment, but honestly it was some of the best money I've ever spent. My experiences with Jeremy and his staff were positive from start to finish. I would not hesitate to hire the Brooks Painting Co again, and will recommend them to anyone who needs a painter in Davis.

We brought Brooks Painting back yet again for some more rooms to paint. They have painted the outside and inside of our home except for our 2 bathrooms which they just did. We are preparing our house to sell and could have painted it ourselves but wanted the professional quality and customer service of Brooks. I also want to use it as a selling point that everything was done by a company that honors a warranty should anything ever need to be done. Brooks Paining fit us in on a Saturday so we could get to selling our house faster than waiting for their next appointment. They as always go above and beyond!

The supervisor was here almost the entire time. He was very thorough and helpful. Everyone was friendly and tolerated my pesky dogs in the backyard. They cleaned up everything and did an excellent job. They were punctual and started very early in the day.
