My elderly mom's 40+year old kitchen was in desperate need of repairs and a new look. The issue came to a head when the kitchen floor started to buckle, fortunately surfacing while I was visiting my mom. I live abroad so finding the right person who could both deal with the issues and guide my mom through the entire process was critical. After meeting Sobi, I felt much more comfortable leaving my mom with his careful and skilled hands in charge. Initially my mom agreed only to only repair the most needful but because Sobi made my mom feel so comfortable and was able to quickly gain her confidence (and mine) she decided it was time for the kitchen to be fully restored. Sobi helped in every aspect, from securing permits to going with my mom to make selections, to answering her repeat questions, all while also lifting her mood (despite all the disruptions that come with a full remodel)- he provided an end to end service par excellence. There was good transparency on all costs and communication was clear at every step. The kitchen looks beautiful and my mom is most satisfied. A needle in haystack experience : ) and shame I live abroad as I have a kitchen that could use his craftsmanship.

The owner, Sobi, is experienced and a true craftsman. Sobi installed pull down attic stairs in the hallway in our house. It was a white glove experience from beginning to end. He took time to understand what we wanted and ended up exceeding my expectations. He said he treats each project as if it were at his own house and that is exactly how I felt. He handled all the details by asking good questions then took care of every detail. Sobi is also patient, professional and respectful which makes him easy to have in our busy house. I can't say enough good things about Sobi. We will use his company for home improvement projects for years to come.

The repairs were much more detailed and extensive than drywall alone although that was done to perfection. This intricate repair of entry way water damage entailed matching and creating wainscoting molding, baseboards and upper molding as well as matching drywall, texture and paint and re installing and repairing base and top of a large column in a very visible entry area that if anything wasnâ t matched exactly it would be noticeable immediately.. Sobis detail, expertise and care matched everything perfectly. He also had one of the the cleanest workspace I have seen in any home repair. We were so hesitant and waited to do this project because we were so worried things would look patched in this large visible area but his work was so perfect you can not tell where there was any damage. We are so grateful. They are true artists. We are already planning our next project.

The quality of work that was done was simply amazing. Sobi was able to reconfigure three bedrooms, add two new bathrooms, and remodel a 3rd bathroom creating 3 en-suites. He has a high level of customer service and is very creative at solving complex construction issues. Through my career Iâ ve been involved with many contractors and I can tell you that Sobi is one of the best contractors that Iâ ve ever worked with. Sobi and his team did the wood framing/crown molding of our new Andersen windows in our living room and dining room. They were very professional, skillful, and really pleasant to work with! Sobiâ s attention to detail is so impressive and reassuring. He was great at explaining everything he planned to do. The communication with him from the start until the end was amazing! The job was done quickly (even through the holidays!) and he made me feel like my job was the only one he was working on when in fact, it was his smallest one. We are so happy with our new master bathroom remodeled by Select Craftsmanship! Sobi and his team did an excellent job. The construction was solid and the finish work was first rate. The Select Craftsmanship team wore masks in the house and appropriately socially distanced when we had to discuss options. As with any remodel, we had a few surprises, but Sobi worked through them with good resolutions that had very little impact on our budget, and he did not nickel-and-dime us for minor changes. We canâ t wait for him to start our next bathroom project!

Sobi has completed three projects for us. He has exceeded our expectations for professionalism and quality of work. We built our custom home in 2001 and it was time to replace two corner windows and three sets of French doors. We sought bids from four companies and were very disappointed. We found Sobi on Home Advisor. He replaced two corner windows and three sets of French doors with one French door and two fixed windows to maximize our view of Mt. Diablo. The design change was his idea. The interior woodwork and enhancements around the windows is exquisite. The outside work, including stucco and painting, is perfect. Throughout the process , Sobi kept us informed of costs and timetable, always respectful of our schedule. We highly recommend him. He has a creative eye for design and knows how to bring your vision to fruition. We also appreciate is honesty, intelligence, and humor. We guarantee you will be more than happy with his work. Sobi did an excellent job repairing my deck and building a trellis for a shade. Sobi did a major front porch dry rot repair including new handrails, steps, structural roof support and floor. He also was creative in replacing some shingles in siding that needed custom work. He did excellent work for us, was a pleasure to work with and was timely and honest. We will hire him again in the future.

My upper deck was seriously weakened by wood rot and poor original construction. Sobi replaced the supporting posts and main beam. He also added additional metal and supporting braces. The deck is now very solid.

Sobi did an excellent job on our large deck, replacing the top deck boards and applying an oil stain/sealant which looks beautiful. He used a hidden screw design, so the surface is smooth and safer for our grandchildren. We really appreciated his attention to detail, were impressed with his expertise, and will recommend him to our friends.
