Costello Plastering

Was able to do the job promptly once I heard back from him (a day or two lag time). Price was very good, and quality was OK for the type of patch job that needed to be done. I would use him again for similar jobs.

It took a couple of phone calls to get Ray to call us initially. When he first came to the house, he had his wife and a friend waiting in the car for him, so he could not stay long enough to take measurments; however, he did come back the next evening as promised. He told us that he would have an estimate to us by the next evening, but we did not receive it until 2 or 3 days later. Honestly, we were SHOCKED when he saw Ray's estimate. It was $6,500 higher than the highest bid and $10,000 higher than the lowest bid that we had already received! Obiviously, we did not choose Costello Plastering because his price was way too high.

I'm going to have him come out and do a second bid but I haven't had him do any work for us. The bid that he gave us covered the information that he felt was appropriate. I didn't find on it some of the technical stuff like the wire or vapor barrier or some of the things that would be useful for someone having stucco put on a house. He didn't list the thickness that was going to be used. He did mention that he was going to apply the drivit finish on all the walls and skim coat with poly bond. He was fabulous and very helpful. He showed some things and spoke a lot. There are things that I want him to rebid. He shot me the original bid very fast. He just needs to give some added information.

It started good from the bid, as he came out fairly quickly. There was a big lag between me accepting his bid and him coming out to do the work. The first couple of weeks were understandable, as we were both busy, but I would call him and call him and not get calls back for up to three weeks at times. He had a number of reasons for not getting to me including family related issues and being too busy. After finishing the first part, it was really good but I wanted to follow up and he didn't get back to me for another month. He showed up to finish randomly and did a great job. The tough thing is that the application and skill was almost a ten out of ten, but the follow through including the cleanup and his responsiveness was poor.

They were great and the price was good. They were responsive and helpful. They gave us an honest opinion. We decided to go with them because of their price and their reputation.

Went very well. Patched known holes plus found another one and patched it for same price. Work was done on time and promptly.

Ray was great; He matched the Stucco perfectly and did the job in the amount of time he estimated. He left the area cleaner then when he started.

Ray's bid was very competitive (as compared with two others). He and his crew were extremely prompt and professional. Very happy with the end result. Will use again for future projects.

He returned our phone call the same day, and showed up on time for the estimate. He was very punctual, and always on time. He cleaned up all his garbage, and left no mess. Now that I've got the front of my house painted, you would never know I had patchwork done.
