Description of Work: Had an issue with a Honda 2000 portable generator that the valves would continuously gum up. | |What I did BEFORE I went to Jacks. |- Cleaned carb |- New gas every time (fully drained tank and carb) (91 - but does not matter) |- Eventually had to pull the valve cover and unseat the exhaust valve from sticking. | |Took it to Jacks to find out why this was happening. |Answer - Bad gas/carb issue. | |This happened twice. |The third time I called Honda Tech Services and explained the problem and results from Jacks. They stated to take it back to Jacks to have them fix it and for them to call Honda Tech Services for assistance. |Even though the issue appears to be fixed now, I was forced to return to them for something that should have been resolved the first time. | |I received the generator back and it ran without a problem after that. | |Will NOT return to Jacks for any service related issues, so will not be doing any business with them again.

Description of Work: Bought a mower at OSH going out of business sale and initially it worked great then within a month or two it began to be difficult to start. After checking Angie's List I took it to Jack's and they ended up doing a checkup service and some minor adjustments. It worked great for about another month then the motor started but quickly died so I returned to Jack's. This time he stated he had to adjust the carburetor and although I was charged an additional amount I am very happy with the current performance of my mower.

+ -1 moreBrought the equipment in on a Monday and left it for pick-up the following Monday. When I returned the following Monday, all were ready to go, however, one of the mowers would not start. The technician did not understand he was supposed to adjust the carburetors on the mower, so I had to leave it another week. When I came back the following Monday, it was ready. Good prices.
Description of Work: Performed oil change, spark plug change, air filter change, and adjusted carburetors on two lawn mowers and one edger.

+ -1 moreIt is a great little shop. He is old but he is still doing it. He has been there forever and he just knows how to do things. I think people take almost everything to him. What we spend with his services was always so reasonable. He does a good job.

+ -1 moreTHEY GAVE ME A GOOD PRICE AND THEY HAD THE WORK DONE ON TIME AS PROMISED AND THE LAWNMOWER WORKED AS I EXPECTED WHEN I PICKED IT UP. I'VE USED THEM OVER THE YEARS AND BEEN HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK.
