Upon walking into the repair shop without an appointment during regular business hours, the owner replaced a broken wheel on a Hartmann suitcase, with another used Hartmann wheel he had left over from a similar repair job, all in about ten minutes and free of charge. The owner is a very nice gentleman. I tipped him $5 for his courtesy.

I took the bag over and showed it to him, and he said and quot;Wait a minuteand quot; and disappeared. In about a minute he reappeared and the bag was repaired! With two rows of stitching instead of the original one. He hemmed and hawed about the cost, so I gave him $5 and he seemed pleased. An amazing experience!

The zipper was replaced and because it was under warranty, I didn't owe him anything. He did an excellent job with another warranty if it should brake again.

THE JOB WAS NOT BEAUTIFULLY DONE THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE OF THE VISIBLE GLUE MARKS. THE OWNER WAS NICE TO DO IT THE SECOND TIME, AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE GOOD.
