+ -1 moreHaven't confirmed the fix was good, but he sounded very confident, so if the fridge works tomorrow I'll be happy: very fast response, professional, and friendly.
Description of Work: Maytag side-by-side fridge was not cooling well. Freezer was 40 F, fridge was 60 F. Appliance Express was able to make the appointment 1 hour after I called, and gave me a 2 hour window (most places give you 4 hour). I asked them to call my cell 10 minutes before arrival and he did, and he arrived inside the window. In less than 1 minute, he diagnosed the problem, he had the part (a computer board) in his truck, and installed it and was finished in 40 minutes. Price was $284 including $45 service call fee, which I thought was a little high overall (service call fee should be deducted from bills over $100, IMO).

+ -1 moreThe gentleman who used to come was courteous, always on time, and had done his job in a timely manner. Appliance Express Repair has always been able to get back to us immediately, and have seemed to be really on top of their game. We?re happy with their service.
Description of Work: We had last used Appliance Express Repair two days ago to fix our washing machine. We’ve had them come out three times in the past.

+ -1 moreAfter fixing the problem he showed me what was obstructing the motor. It was a nail which caused the motor to not run properly. Trying to set up a time was a little bit of a problem because of my busy schedule and his conflicts but once we smoothed that over he was here at the specified time. He then completed the job in an effective, efficient manner.
Description of Work: I had problems with my washing machine and he came to repair it.

+ -1 moreSo I called back and told them that the fridge was broken again. He told me that it was probably the thermostat and he would order it. He could have it by Friday, and would be by then. I had to call about 3-4 times on Friday to make sure that he had it, and would be coming by. He finally returned my call after 2 pm and said that he would be by in about 1/2 hour. He came back and spent about 40 minutes working on the fridge, but finally told me that the part wouldn't fit. He would order another and it would be in on Monday. So Monday comes and again, I have to call him 3-4 times, only to finally get a return call after 2 pm. Now he says ''Bad news, your fridge is too old and we can't find the part.'' So AHS calls around and finds the part back East and orders it. I tell them to shove it, that I'm not going through this anymore. I insist on a credit towards the purchase of a new fridge and got a $200 credit towards a new GE.
Description of Work: My refrigerator completely stopped working. Just like the other person with AHS, I was referred to them by American Home Shield. I got an initial phone call at 3 pm on a Friday. I was in a meeting until 4 but called back as soon as I got the message. I left a message but never got a call back. I called repeatedly over the weekend but always got the same voice mail but not one call back until Monday around 9am. By then I had made an appointment with someone else, but that company ended up bumping me, so I called Appliance Express Repair and got an appointment for 3 pm that same Monday. The repairman showed up about 1 hr late, but I was desperate since I have a child and need cold milk etc. He repaired the refrigerator, (not very personable guy though), informed me that it was a bad timer, and was on his way. Unfortunately, the ''repair'' lasted only 36 hours. Wednesday afternoon when I got home I noticed that the fridge was totally quiet again, and the ice was starting to melt.

+ -1 moreThese guys came to fix my dryer and my microwave. It was paid for by my Homeowner's insurance (American Home Shield) - that's why it was only $45 out of pocket. My microwave repair took about 2 months with 3 separate visits before it worked again. It was a power supply issue. But on one visit, the tech told me the third party parts he had ordered were not good enough and needed Panasonic (brand of my microwave) parts instead. My dryer is now waiting for the third visit. They usually don't call me back until I leave five messages (I can never reach a live person whether early or late). In this case, they fix the dryer (not heating), but the problem reappears within 3 days. As for punctuality, once they give a 4 hour window yet still managed to miss it by 4 hours. I guess you've got to give them credit for showing up on the same day.
Description of Work: Fix dryer, fix microwave.
