My experience with the Apple store was okay because they didn't listen to me when I was there. I told them that I worked for almost eight years at the user support center, supporting hardware and software and they did not hear that. I told them that I had a power book and an iPad. They talked to me like; I was an idiot so I immediately asked for a manager at that point. That was like a little off putting. The Imac that I bought was not good, it was bad. But what I want to say is, when I called the Apple support in California, they were wonderful. They replaced my Imac and shipped it directly to my door. I didn't have to do anything, I got a brand new Imac and it works beautifully. They sent me a returned FedEx thing as well. The support at Apple was excellent and they were very professional. I give a high grading for the support center but for the store itself, I'm not crazy about. I would not recommend people go to the Apple store to buy computers rather I would recommend them go online and have it shipped to them. The Apple stores are so crowded, so noisy and so busy; it feels like it's absolutely a zoo. I’m a computer literate and I find it disturbing.
Description of Work: I bought an Imac from Apple probably five weeks ago.

I was lied to. I was told if I purchased a new extended warranty then all would be right. What does that mean? I can't get their help without being mugged? I was told by their "Apple Care" that I could install new memory for $50.00 and purchase a "Leopard 10.5" upgrade. Then I was told I would have to install it myself. I'm not a computer person. I wanted any corrupt files and spy ware addressed. Then because I wanted them to do the installation, they said it couldn't be done because the hardware wasn't made for it. Well, what is it? I can install it myself easily (after I pay out a fortune) or, the hardware is not designed to accept the 10.5? No matter which way you cut this, it's a lying screw-over.
Description of Work: This situation is more complex than allowed for by these forms. I purchased an iBook laptop five years ago. Now I am having trouble with it. Most of what is on the internet is a 10.5 operating system. Apple creates products that will become obsolete and there is no way to upgrade them; you must buy another one at top dollar. Apple, Inc., provides no real services for your computer. They operate very much like Radio Shack...shoddy.
