+ -1 moreThings went ok, they did not volunteer much information, had to pull it out of them. After pick up of computer, I had to come back later to get an explanation of a new icon on my computer and the on/off button which was mis-aligned. Regarding the new icon, , they had installed a new anti-virus software...said my old anti-virus was destroyed in the virus attack. On/off buton is mis-aligned, they did not mention this and ....the response ws "it still works". They said it would take an entire day to fix the on/off switch which I believe they broke.

+ -1 moreI believe these guys know what they are doing. But maybe because I'm not a larger corporate client, I might have been relegated to the undesirable pile; also, Damien, the first service person, failed to return calls during the days immediately following the initial work. Jay said Damien was sick and would respond soon but that never happened. With one exception where Jay tried to help by phone, nor has either responded to subsequent calls and emails to clear up the issues discussed above. In any event there should have been follow up on their part about a week after the initial service to make sure all was OK. Especially with computers, most users are helpless to work on the things they call to get service on and there are always bound to be questions to be answered to make sure everything was taken care of.
Description of Work: PC was diagnosed as having a defective power supply. I have purchased a new one and will install it in a day or so. If PC then works again, I have not problem with this. 2. Adjustments were made to both our laptops. One purpose was to set up WiFi and integrate with our DSL service. On my laptop, I asked to have Outlook become my primary email source for sending and receiving. This was done. I was assured I could then send and receive email exclusively through Outlook and could ignore the SBC Global home page where I'd previously gone to get emails for two addresses. My main complaint is that as a result of this work, I get no current Outlook email on my main email address, rogersmind@sbcglobal.net and I get none at all, either on the SBC home page or on Outlook for rogerspractice@sbcglobal.net; the latter is the site I make available to clients of my psychotherapy practice. Hence I have no idea whether clients have sent email. This might jeopardize relations with these clients.

+ -1 moreThese guys are so great. They come fast, are very pleasant and accommodating, and really know what they're doing. My husband and sons are very computer savvy, but they couldn't fix the problems. (Nor could my husband's IT group.) For a very reasonable cost, and with no IT attitude. I wish all my household problems were so easily solved.
Description of Work: Tech Care has done 3 different jobs for us. First, they set up a wireless network -- something the IT guys at my husband's office couldn't get to work. The second time was a repair. The most recent time, they put another computer on the network and diagnosed and fixed a problem with one of our computers.
