Plumber 2 the Rescue

He arrived promptly at 8:00 a.m. which was the time scheduled. He greeted and gave lots of pats and pets to my cat. (Which he continued to do during the course of his visit.) I showed him the shower where the hot water was running, showed him out back to my hot water tank and there he turned off the water. He then proceeded to unclog my kitchen drain, my utility/laundry drain and my bathtub drain. He informed me that the main sewer line is partially blocked and would need attention as soon as possible, and that it would be a two man job. He gave me an estimate. Then he repaired the shower faucet and turned the hot water back on. Before he left I told him that as soon as I was able I would call to set up an appointment for the main sewer line to be worked. He was most kind, efficient and competent. I won't hesitate to call them again.

Again, I should have written this right after hiring Warren & My Plumbing Dr, so I was a little better with the details. I've actually used MPD about 3 times and they've always been great. They're usually able to come very quickly to diagnose & fix the problem. Warren always seems fair and honest. He actually showed me how to replace the sloan valve in my old school toilets, so that I could do it myself and not have to pay a plumber to do it. Would definitely recommend and use again.

After trying Liquid Plumr all weekend, on sunday evening I phoned My Plumbing Doctor for an emergency call as my sink was backed up all weekend. I had call three other companies and had yet to receive a live person on the phone or a call back They picked up the phone immidiately, and they confirmed James would service my home at 8.00 pm. James showed up 15 minutes early and that is much appreciated on a sunday evening. James snaked the sink and also was concerned why the pressure was so low and the water was not very hot - He immidiately corrected the problem. For the first time in years do I now have hot water with pressure and of course the drain is un clogged! I promised James - " no more Liquid Plumr" as he explained to me the damage is causes and it clearly was a waste of money and potent chemicals. The price was very fair for a sunday evening and I would call them again in a heartbeat!

Warren of My Plumbing Doctor came out and gave us a quote. The price was competative, based on phone quotes and another home visit quote. Warren indicated when he could do the job and showed up at the appointed time. Warren and an assistant were neat, polite and finished the jobs in a timely manner. We are happy with the results and would hire My Plumbing Doctor again.

We have used My Plumbing Doctor regularly for the past several years for a variety of problems, from leaks to clogged drains. They have been consistently reliable and efficient. Today Eddie arrived promptly, and located and repaired a rather tricky problem. This is typical of their good work and professional employees.

I called this morning at 10:00 AM and was told someone can come between 2 and 4 this afternoon. The plumber turned up at 1:30. He looked at the water meter and maybe under the house for leaks and did not find anything wrong. He spent as much time writing the invoice as he did looking for a possible source of leak. All in all about 15 minutes. He charged me $120 ($105 with Angie's list discount) because he said it was a weekend day and therefore time and a half! If I had known the quick response is going to cost me 50% more, I'd gladly have waited til Monday. An upfront notice of how charges will be calculated would have helped. Since I was to be charged the whole hour at overtime rate, he might have offered to fix whatever plumbing issues I might have but he didn't. Not that I had other plumbing issues but the offer would have made the bill less outrageous. It seems I was charged for his travel time (2 miles) at plumber rate.

I called for a late night backed up main drain.They said they could be here in an hour and they were.They wheeled back the snake machine to my back yard and cleaned out the drain within 5 minutes.They put the cap back on the drain access, loaded their truck, wrote me a receipt and left.Very quick repair.I strongly recommend you make sure you have easy access to your "clean out" drain. I put an extension on mine so they never have to climb under the house, which saves money.

steve showed up at 8:30 am, the appointed time. He ruled out any drier repairs. He unclogged the sink in about 20 minutes. Cost = estimate. Very happy with Steve, workmanship and integrity.

They were excellent. They were the most honest and best plumbers I ever saw.

Chose this company based on good reviews from Yelp (before I joined Angie's List). The plumber (James) was friendly, he showed up promptly and got started right away. The leaky faucet was replaced and works fine. Drains were cleared, so the work to be done was completed satisfactorily. HOWEVER, both tub (pop-up drain) handles now have plier marks on them. Obviously, the plumber had trouble removing them and didn't think to use a rag or another method to prevent scratches. I also asked why there is rust coming from the overflow and he said it is probably from the interior screws. When I checked later, it's coming from the tub (Kohler porcelain-cast iron). I don't think he was very experienced, therefore, not very professional. The cost was reasonable if I don't consider the damage to my fixtures. Unrelated to the plumber: Beware of Kohler! My sinks are also rusting after only 5 years.

Warren said his rate for hydrojetting is $150/hour, that my sewer would probably take two hours. I have received hydrojetting rates of $750 to almost $1,000. When I emailed Warren asking whether his rate might be for "snaking" rather than hydrojetting he did not respond.

I took no other estimates for this job because I had liked the way Warren had assessed a sewer pipe replacement problem (have not hired anyone for that yet) and his rates ($75/hour) seemed very reasonable. Considering the reviews on Angie's, I thought I'd finally found a reliable plumber. Unfortunately, in this case, I wound up curing the problem myself. Warren diligently strapped pipes under the house, even repeatedly lying on the floor to find the location of the sound. When flushing the toilet continued to produce clattering, he turned to the water pressure regulator. Warren found that my pressure was 105 in front, 100 at back, said it should be 80, told me I needed a new regulator. Estimate to replace regulator: $350. In my case, however, regulator is one unit w/ relief valve so estimate was $475.00. Later, I found a loose verticle pipe to the water heater in the garage, cushioned that with plumbing styrofoam and -- voila! -- noise gone. Warren did not return my email asking why he had not checked the pipes in the garage (pipes under the house can be seen leading into the garage) and asking for clarification of his hydrojetting rates. I can forgive the pipes oversight -- the pipes under the house are a mess and probably needed the strapping -- but not the lack of response. In addition, a friend told me that 105 pressure is not that high, that her pressure regulator had been replaced only b/c pressure was far higher. Also, may seem petty, but he broke the chain on my gate latch when others just take a second to figure it out. Observation of detail counts. Holly, the receptionist, is very responsive, however. Appointment was between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m., Holly called at 7:45 to confirm, then notified me at 8:15 of an emergency and offered a different plumber or a new appointment between 11:00 and 1:00. I chose the latter and Warren arrived at 11:30.

I had a great experience. They have a service set up where they will call you every 6 months. They have reasonable prices. I absolutely reccomend them. They left everything clean.

The project went okay, the sink isn’t quite up to par. I got really busy, so follow up has been tough. The diverter in the bathtub did get fixed and that was my major concern.

I had a good experience. The only drawback was with the receptionist, as she didn?t seem to know things. I still liked the job they did and will continue to use the same in future.

I called early in the morning on the 31st of January. The girl who i spoke to told me the guys were booked for that day, i asked if they could come in the evening as i was working till 6PM. I know it was a long shoot asking, with it being new years eve, She put me on hold and 3 mins later the response was yes. I rushed home from work and the guys called to say they would be there by 7:30PM. Sure enough at 7:30 my door bell rang, They wished me a happy new year and got to work right away,It was the first time they snaked going through a vent in the roof and not the toilet. The problem was fixed in 10 minutes, They explained that i needed to update my old pipes sooner than later or this problem would arise again. They cleaned up and off they went. The guys were very professional, told me what needed to be done and let me know if it was on there regular time it cost would have been $75.I was happy with the work done on such short notice on New years eve. would use them again. Thank you.

The plumber showed up on time. He was friendly and professional. It took a little doing to figure out the problem but he did and explained it to me and my options. He fixed it and cleaned up after himself before he left. I thought the price was VERY fair.

They were great. The plumber was willing to explain everything he was doing. He allowed me to watch and ask questions. He was very thorough in everything he did. I would use them again and I have recommended them.

He was very good. I would definitely go to this plumber again. The office was quick to respond to an emergency email (the situation occurred over Christmas) and the plumber was on site when he said he would be and was quick to finish the repair, even though it was more complex than what he expected given my description. I would recommend this plumber to others.

My sewer line backed up and at 2pm on a Thursday I thought I'd be out of luck getting someone out to fix it that day. I was unable to use any plumbing in the house and didn't know what I was going to do if I had to wait. I made a call and even though their schedule was booked, they took pity on me and promised they'd be there by 3pm. Prompt and on time, Warren showed up and got to work straight away. He was courteous and put my mind at rest that he'd do everything he could to get the problem fixed. He did! Even though my house and plumbing system are old, he persevered and found a way to get to the problem. A mere $89 later - bargain if you ask me - my sewer line and household were back to rights. I'm a Realtor and I use a lot of vendors and this is someone I'll be adding to my list for no-hassle, honest service with great customer service.

A small job that turned out to be larger but well worth the trouble to get all the pipes going the right way. I called MPD to check out the plumbing in our new home. I spoke to Warren who I think owns the company who turned out to be a very nice and honest person. All of the workers at the company are well spoken and honest. Unfortuantely the easy rooting turned out to be a major cutting of roots in the front yard and out to the sewage line but they were able to get everything complete in a timely fashion.
