The overall experience was fine. The guys are all nice, but the when they left the remote (which cost $1,000) didn't seem to be set up correctly. All of the components worked, which is why I gave them a 'D' and not an 'F', but the remote operations seemed strange and very non-intuitive, although I was assured it was programmed just right. The first night the system turned itself on in the middle of the night. That was programmed just right? The speakers in the living room where impossible to get synced with the speakers in the media room, but I was assured that I was the one that didn't know how to work the remote. The RF connectors to the components came off the first week, they came out to reattach them, and tried to charge me $200 for a service call that lasted 10 minutes, and was to correct something they should have done when installing. We noticed we couldn't use the On Demand feature on the sat system, and the DVD player didn't seem to be playing on all channels so we called another company to come out. We ended up paying this company $600 to fix all the errors Majestic had created. It turned out they had never connected our internet service to the receivers (although the outlet was right there, and they wired the house for sound). Once that was done, and correctly re-wired, the On Demand problem was solved. The DVD player was re-wired and now plays full Dolby 5:1 like it's supposed to. The remote that they programmed had to be completely re-programmed to make it work correctly. The guy who did this said he just fixed the big problems with it to save us money. He said there's lots of other things to fix, but we should wait until we're adding a component and get it all done at once. After the re-programming, I can work it with ease. The guy who came out was nice about the mess, but did say a few times, "Why did they do it this way?" Of course, I didn't know. The people at Majestic are fine, but the quality of their work, especially for the outrageous fees they charge, is really shoddy. I'd never ask them to perform work in our house again, especially after calling one of their competitors who made everything work great! One further example of the shoddy work, was the Majestic people didn't even zip tie or hide the wires. They just left them all exposed and going every which way....that's what they call a quality install? That's basic stuff. Finally, no thanks to Majestic, the media cabinet looks, and works, like it should.
