Description of Work: The appt. staff not very helpful or efficient. Finally arranged an appt. after several requests...one arranged for 1:3opm. Estimater called to ask if I would be able to see him earlier (betwn noon and 12:30) I rushed home to accommodate him. He arrived after 1pm, admitted he was in a rush. Just wanted to go inside to see the leak... I fist attempted to show him how the stucco staining during rain..before letting him see the interior issues. he immediately said I needed a rain gutter guy and that was the issue. He obviously did not want be there. He was very well dressed. I politely showed him the way out. I called for another appt. I still have not yet heard back.

Description of Work: mr chuck hewitt-owner-came both for the estimate and came to the job site on the day of the work. i really want to rave about this company! mr. hewitt was really a professional perso. i guess what i am trying to say is that i had other roofing companies come out and said i needed a new roof completely. hull brothers did the work where it was leaking, and did maintenance work on the rear of the house. he said i can do maintanance for a few more years, and fould out that my roof drains were not working correctly. which i suspected. no one else saw this. i will continue to use them! thank you very much for your angies list or i would not have been able to find him!

 + -1 moreThe work was very good; it went very well. They came promptly and did the work very nicely. They cleaned up well. I was quite satisfied. It is raining now, and I don't have any leaks, so I guess their work is good. Their price seemed fair. As far as I can tell, the quality of their work is excellent. Everything went very well, so I would rate them highly overall. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Hull Brothers Roofing Co for a partial repair of the roof.

Description of Work: Requested an estimate for roof repair to small area of roof that lost shingles in recent wind storm. Called, spoke for a second with receptionist who inadvertently hung up. Called back and made appointment for noon for endor to provide an estimate for roof repair and an evaluation/estimate for re-doiing entire roof. On appointed date received voicemails indicating estimator would be late. Had to leave so requeted that estimator come over, do inspection and send estimates via email. Ten days later, no estimate so went with another Angie's list vendor who I rated A in all respects.

 + -1 moreWork was done quickly. Area was left spotless. Job was superior. Our family has used them for many jobs over the years. They know their stuff, are fair and honest. Another company was recommended by them to install the gutters. When Hull Brothers called the next day to see how everything was going, I let them know that the gutter folks left some old gutters behind. There was other construction debris from other contractors, and had the gutter company put their trash with the rest I wouldn't have noticed it. I mentioned it to Hull Brothers, and later that day the gutter company guys stopped by and cleared their trash.
Description of Work: Installed new roof on my duplex. I give them an A- for responsiveness because they are so busy.

And not unexpectedly the verbal bid was twice as much as a bid I received via e-mail an hour prior. He must have felt my reluctance as I never received a written bid from them.

Description of Work: The estimater who I suspect is also an owner, Mr. Charles Hewett, came out in the rain with a crew to make an emergency repair. He then estimated the job and to my pleasant suprise, he told me that much of my roof was fine and did not need repair. My garage is separate from my house and the garage roof did not blend well with the house roof. I asked him for some advice to improve the situation and he provided me with an excellent and economically prudent plan. They put on a new roof over the garage, replaced broken tiles on the house roof, and made repairs to the house roof where there were leaks. The work was performed on time. It is now 10 months later and raining very heavily. The roof is doing just fine. My only concern was that there was a bit of a mess in the garage that occurred with the old roof removal.

So, I thought that I need to get it fixed and it rained, but there were no leaks. I was totally satisfied with their price and they did the job quickly too. They were a pleasure to work with. If need be, then I would definitely use their services in the future too.

 + -1 moreHull Roofing was retained by our general contractor. Main house is a historic Victorian with multiple roof elevations. They also re roofed garage. Both structures had very old roofs requiring removal, which were replaced with composite shingle roof. Work was carried out while we remained in our home, and they managed to do it with minimal disruption, and properly removed all debris. Cleanliness was generally good, but not perfect. Work completed faster than expected. Roofers were efficient, polite. Cost ran about $2000 above estimate, but this was based on additional problems discovered during the work, so we had no complaint.
Description of Work: Complete re-roof of two structures: home and garage.
