Ford's Plumbing and Heating

Ford's Plumbing saved us!! We called after we discovered a gas leak on a Friday night and the Gas Company had shut off the gas for our safety. Ford's sent Scotty over first thing Saturday, and he discovered several leaks in our 1930's home's original pipes -- terrifying! We have a one-year-old, and after the gas was shut off, we had no hot water, stove access, or heat, among other things. Despite having other scheduled calls to work around, Scotty spent almost 11 hours on one day trying to get us up and running, and returned to work 5 hours the next day, making sure everything was fixed and sealed up tight. He adjusted/re-worked several connections that our original plumber had done badly. And did everything he could to help make the fees affordable for us, when the project ended being much bigger than originally expected. Scotty really knows his stuff, and he explained everything he was doing so we understood the issues. He even called us the next day to make sure the Gas Company had turned our gas back on, and that everything was OK. He went above and beyond, and we highly recommend Ford's and Scotty!

Scotty was the plumber who came out and he was great. From the point I called him first, he was here within 90 mins and was upfront on all costs over the phone. When he arrived, he went over pricing again first so everything was transparent. He was diligent with the issue with my drain and resolved the issue. I’m in an older building, so he made it clear that over time, without pipe replacement, the problem would persist. But problem solved for now and very happy with the service provided. Riley was fantastic. He was courteous, professional and came very quickly - especially considering he had to drive 1.5hrs to get to us in Topanga Canyon late in the afternoon. He had the job fixed within 30 minutes. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I have no reference point as to whether the price is high or low. But it’s worth every penny to us. From the initial intake/quote from Reilly I was impressed with Ford's plumbing service, to the leak detection and actual repair. The entire Ford team approached and accommodated my plumbing emergency with Dino's calm urgency and honest explanation of what was happening through the whole process of performing the diagnostics and repair. The team also paid extreme attention to keeping my bedrooms and house clean and minimizing impact to my other living areas. Overall I was extremely relieved and put at ease with the service Ford provided and definitely would recommend them to anyone!

I made the appointment two days prior, Reilly came out during his scheduled time window and got right to work (answering several unrelated plumbing questions while performing the cleaning). He explained everything, he cleaned up when he was done, and the entire process was straightforward. I'd happily hire them in the future.

Scotty came out, told me exactly what kind of fixture to purchase, and to give him a call once I had it. I bought the fixture, had him come out--and it turned out I had bought the wrong kind of fixture! Even though this was my fault, he did not charge me for a third visit once I had secured the proper fixture. While working under the sink, he found another issue and solved it. And, after he left, I started hearing lots of rattling and vibrating every time I turned the water on--and the pressure was very low. Scotty came back quickly, and told me that it was his mistake--he had not turned the water valve to the house back on all the way after replacing the fixture. I appreciated his patience, good work, and honesty! They are a little on the expensive side, but the customer service is very good.

The drain was completely clogged with roots and about 80' needed to be replaced, which required digging from the front to the back of the house. Scotty ensured that the job was completed before the next rain, which took parts of three days.

Reilly was great. Fast, easy, punctual. Very good work. Would hire again.

Had a broken pipe that was leaking water, called Ford's they had a tech out the same day. Fast and great price. Would call them again.

No hot water, Had called Ford's last month for a leaking pipe, so I called them again for this problem. They came out relit the water heater and told me the water heater was still good, so no need to replace it yet. Water heater working fine still.

It went excellent! I thought my garbage disposal was was going to have to be replaced but the service tech promptly responded and un-jammed it. Seemed effortless for him. I was also happy that he didnt make me feel like an idiot for not being able to fix this myself which makes me so much more comfortable calling them back!

This was an interesting experience, and my irritation mainly lies with the pricing. Here are all the facts: - Allie called to say someone could come out the same day (terrific!). I told her I needed a 30 minute lead time. - I was given a 15 min. lead time. They tried calling me, but I was on a call that I couldn't hang up from. - I met the technician almost exactly 30 minutes after they first tried to call me. However, both Ally and the technician showed signs of being upset. - Technician quickly transitioned into a friendly guy, but his response to my issue was confusing. First, he told me he was a plumber and knew nothing about appliances. I kept wondering why they even sent someone if they didn't have any expertise. - The technician talked through options with me to move my gas line about 2 feet down the wall. He quoted me $955 to do what I knew would take less than an hour. Who makes that kind of money? I immediately knew he was trying to take advantage of me. - After I stopped laughing at such an insane price, I asked him how much to leave the line where it is and just get the new, correctly sized valve on the line so I could use my much newer model stove. - He quoted me $260 which I knew was still high. Although, what could I do? He was in my home ready to fix it. A handyman would have charged me $20 to do what he did. - Fifteen minutes (if that) later, the job was done. This company made $260 in 15 minutes!!!!! Also, please note I already had the part (the correct size valve). No material cost and they didn't guarantee their work because it was my part and not theirs. Who in the world makes that kind of money? When the guy left, I stewed over the lack of humanity out there. Ford's Plumbing took full advantage of me to make a couple extra bucks. I wish the world were a better place where people cared about each other. This company was a prime example of greed.

Scotty was great! he came out and very honestly and exactly explained what my options were and how much the job would cost. While I am not ready to do the job quite yet, when we are, we will be calling Scotty at Ford's Plumbing.

Could not have gone better! My beloved cousin (who is 92) had a backed up toilet due to the recent heavy rains for several days. It was a Saturday night when she told me and she didn't know what to do. I called at least seven other plumbers and despite their offering "emergency services" none could come out - until I called Ford! I was put through to a human being (instead of leaving a message). I spoke with Riley and he gave me accurate information as to price and ETA. After suffering with this for days, Riley was there in a little over an hour and had the issue resolved at the 1.5hr mark from my original call! He explained what would be needed to prevent the issue from happening again and the price he quoted was reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend this agency and this professional (Riley) to others.

Ford’s came in the time slot given to me earlier in the morning, explained my problem and quickly got to work! They snaked out my area drain and got it running within in hour. They even gave me some tips to keep the dirt out of my drains. I will definitely keep using Ford’s.

For $199.99 he left the job undone and recommended hydrocleaning to deal with the mud in the drains. I was disappointed that the job was not completed. Never had this issue raised before.

Great! From the initial call to owner, Robert, the service was great.the price he quoted was honored and he had a plumber at my house within the time frame promised. The service was quick and thorough, and Reilly (plumber) even gave me tips to prevent future clogs. Would highly recommend Ford’s.

I needed to hire a second plumber to correct the problem and the total project cost over $30,000. Over $5000 lost to Ford.

We have a very old house and are always having plumbing problems. The gentleman came out and had our leak under control in about 90 minutes. I’ve used Ford’s in the past many times and they are always on time and very reasonably priced.. I’m always happy with their service and will continue to use them in the future!!

Scotty was very nice and professional. He was able to come out same day which was great. My whirlpool washer was leaking water behind the unit and I called Ford's because I thought it was coming from the water hoses which are hard to see and access. Turns out it wasn't from the hoses or a problem a plumber could repair, in Scotty's honest opinion. It is apparently an appliance issue. I did have a large bubble on one of the hoses which worried me so I had him replace it. Unfortunately, he was not able to fix my leak but he was honest with me and did not attempt to charge me for a bunch of unrelated problems. I would definitely call him again for my plumbing problems.

The team was communicative before the appointment, and the work was done very quickly (20 minutes) and well. They did arrive late for the appointment window, but let me know about it proactively.

Great - thorough job ... it was an expensive service but important that it was done properly & quickly.

I got an appointment the very next day. The plumber arrived right when he said he would. He assessed the situation, explained my options, went over the price. He went to his van, got his tools and was done in about 25 minutes. He replaced all 3 stem valves (I think that is what they were called). No more dripping faucets and I know I won’t have to worry about that for a long, long time! If I do have any plumbing problems in the future, I’ll be calling Ford’s Plumbing to do the job!

I got Scotty out within hours of my call. He was very professional & efficient. I will definitely use Scotty & Ford's Plumbing next time I have need.
