Description of Work: We called them out for a job. They came promptly and gave us an estimate. They were suppose to call the next morning and let us know when they could start. They didn't so we called them. Then, they were going to call us back in an hour. They didn't so we called them. This was our second call to them. Clearly this was an important thing for us as our kitchen sink was down. They didn't call us back so we called yet again. We were told it would be a week before they could start our job. We found someone else. I just think they could have told us when we called they were swamped with work.

Description of Work: They did several things for us, including installing a hot water circulating pump. All work was done well and checked by a supervisor to make sure we were satisfied. Would use them again.

Description of Work: Replaced two water heaters. During that service, one of the plumbers noticed leaking under the house. They found the kitchen drain lines were sagging and needed replacing. They also found a dryer vent that had come apart and was spewing lint under my house, creating a fire hazard. They also recommended replacing 10' of cast iron sewer drain from the original plumbing (1940's). They performed everything in a timely and professional manner. Although it wasn't cheap, I feel Reilly, Dino and Carlos took care of what needed to be done, and I would call them again.

Description of Work: My washing machine died. We purchased a new one, but when the delivery came, the folks installing the machine could not loosen the hot water hose from the spigot because of corrosion. They said that they don't want to force it due to liability, so they left the washing machine in our house and left us to deal with the plumbing and connection problems ourselves. We borrowed the right tools to try to loosen the hose but couldn't do it. My neighbor, a very handy person, tried but couldn't do it either. Finally, we had to bite the bullet and call plumbing. I found Ford from Angie's List. Reilly from the service came. He took a look at our problem and asked "all you want is for me to loosen the hose from the spigot"? I told him that if loosening the hose is not an option, we may just change out the entire apparatus and plumbing. Reilly borrowed our wrench and with some elbow grease, released the hose in 3 seconds! He showed us how to turn off the hot water supply in case of future leaks, and told us that there may be a little leak near the hose junction, but if we attached the new hose to the washing machine, the machine would stop the leak anyway. If we replaced the entire apparatus, it would cost us about $400. He told us he won't charge us anything for the service he performed today. I am soooo grateful and glad that I found a plumber who is super knowledgeable and nice, who doesn't try to over charge me for what I don't need, and in fact didn't charge me anything at all.Maybe he just thought the job was too small to quibble over the cost with me, but to me, what he did meant the difference between having a washing machine to use, or schlepping over to the laundromat for another week! Meeting someone like Reilly really made my day. I will use him for any plumbing needs, any time! In fact, he'd be the only person I'd call in he future.

Description of Work: Installed new faucet on kitchen sink. Difficult job because old faucet was completely rusted in. They got it off though and the new one, we supplied it, looks and works very well.

Description of Work: Reilly came as promised this evening to snake out the kitchen sink which had been blocked for two days. After diligently trying the snake three times and with no luck, he refused to charge me a penny since the sink was still blocked. He advised me to call the company in the morning and have them come back for more detailed analysis of the blockage. I will post more on this as it progresses.

Description of Work: After making an appt almost 24 hours in advance, the plumber never made his scheduled appointment. There was no phone call to let me know if they were going to be late etc etc. I ended up calling a more relaible plumber this morning who was able to come in a tow hour notice.

Description of Work: I needed an earthquake gas shutoff valve installed. Riley called me, went immediately to my home to assess the situation. The estimate was very reasonable compared to other contractors, the work was done in a timely fashion and efficiently, and Riley is very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely hire this company again.

Description of Work: Ford's came out to repair the gas lines and on the property after the recent quakes. Given that the main line from the city connection was about 80-years old they had a lot of work to do. Everything was completed in a timely manner the crew was very professional.

Description of Work: Plumbing was backing up in both the main house and the guest house (the house was built in 1941). It was actually a broken clay pipe. Upon further inspection they found more old clay pipes that were broken and had roots growing into them. Although expensive, the replaced pipes have a long year guarantee and should be good for decades to come. The repairs went well and I haven't had any problems nearly a year later.

Description of Work: These guys are awesome. Responsive, efficient, and honest. We found a leak, called Ford's, had a team of guys at our house quickly. We had to make some expensive decisions. We worked with Riley. He took the time to go over our options in detail; the recommendations he made were definitely in our best interest (we confirmed the recommendations and prices with independent sources). Everyone who worked on our job that week was extremely professional and courteous. They even dug a huge trench to retrofit our gas lines along a shared property line. The guys were extremely considerate to our neighbors--without needing to be asked. We would absolutely recommend them for both planned and urgent jobs. Excellent service.
