Ford's Plumbing and Heating

After reading the positive reviews on Angie's List, I had high hopes when I hired Ford's for drain cleaning and/or pipe repair at my mother's home. Plumbers showed up on time, and the initial inexpensive quote quickly turned into an $8,000 recommendation. My mother trusted their expertise (in hindsight, she knows she should have gotten a 2nd opinion), and agreed to proceed with the additional work. Although the plumbing issues seemed resolved, not all the additional work paid for was completed. A wall that was supposed to be repaired after the work was done was not (unreported since this was unfortunately discovered months later). Expectations were high due to the amount spent, but we were not impressed.

Called for an estimate on a noise coming from walls/plumbing. You know that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you realized you've been duped? That was my feeling when I obtained a second opinion. Ford's Plumbing quoted me almost $1000.00 to install a pressure regulator. Subsequent plumber came the following day, diagnosed the problem in 30 minutes as an exterior hose valve being in the 'on' position. Paid him $99.00 with pleasure. Buyer beware.

Ford's is such a great company. Every employee I've had contact with has been professional and courteous and really nice. Ginger was able to have someone come out and help me as soon as possible. Ryan arrived on time and was great. He assessed the problem and had it fixed so quickly. He is such a nice guy ... neat, professional and friendly. This is the second time I've had to call Ford's Plumbing (I found them from the reviews here on Angieslist) and both times they were above and beyond. It's so great knowing I don't have to stress if another plumbing problem comes up. I will definitely call Ford's and I've already given their name to other tenants in my building.

They are very nice, and a good outfit. The price seems a little high. They just came out and did what they were suppose to do. They were very courteous. Then about a week later, I had a problem with the new toilet. I called them up and about the next day they came and corrected the problem. The chain inside the toilet that the handle works the flapper valve, it had came a loose, and they fixed it. They adjusted the water level of the toilet for me.

Service from the first call onward was amazing. I needed a plumber TODAY! My handyman wasn't able to fix the problem with our toilet, so I called Ford's and they were able to fit me in within a couple hours. Ginger scheduled me and asked how I found them ... Angie's List ... so she let me know there was a coupon I could use. In my rush to find a plumber, I hadn't looked for the coupons. Riley arrived on time and was amazing. Really. He had a quick look at the toilet tank and showed me what was wrong. He showed me I could fix it myself, with a quick trip to the hardware store. He saved me $120 and wouldn't even take a tip for his lesson in plumbing 101. Fantastic first impression. We have a go to plumber now.

They put in a new water heater and replaced gas lines due to a gas leak. It was a little expensive. The only issue I had with them is I thought the price was a little high.

Riley showed up on time, took one look at the situation and helped troubleshoot it for us in no time. Price for the work done was more than fair. Would definitely hire this service again.

I called Ginger at Ford Plumbing about 9:15. She set me up with an appointment for between 12 and 2. She also reminded me to print the coupon! Reilly arrived about 12:15m, and he ran a snake, ending the back-up, and then ran a camera to check the line -- all in about 25 minutes. Great service and great price. I will hire them again.

He said he couldn't do anything and that need needed to cut the copper line and install new line and a clean out. I have had my main line cleaned out before with no issues so I went to the home depot and purchased a rooter myself, which ended up solving the problem. I felt that he was trying to do a complete bait and switch.

Work was done by two technicians over a two week period. Both technicians were great, as was their supervisor. The pipes were under the house in a tight crawl space, so the job was not easy. The technicians never complained and the supervisor provide video camera of the work being done. All the old sewer pipes where brought out from under the house and taken away by the plumbers. They even came back to strap the water pipes so that they no longer "pinged" when turn on. I am very satisfied with all the work done.

I started by messaging Ford's plumbing through Angie's List, and received a prompt response followed by a phone-call setting up an appointment window. The technician arrived within the window and was very courteous. I showed him the offending faucet, and instead of fixing it himself, he asked if I was handy, and showed me how to fix the problem myself (saving me a LOT of money in the process). While walking around our house, he also noticed an issue with one of our tankless water heaters, and performed some basic diagnostics to see if something else could be causing the problem. Overall my experience was fantastic and I would definitely recommend Ford's for any plumbing need.

Our guy, Reilly, was in and out in about twenty minutes. He was on time, did the work, and now the faucet works great. He was nice and professional. Can't recommend their services enough!
