They did a terrible job. It looked fine when they left but after about two weeks, the stains came back. When I called them back they said they would not come back out to redo the job. They did not pre-spot the carpet so all the spots came back. I was very unhappy with my experience and would never use them again.

This company is SUPERB! I was moving out and had to schedule a bunch of work in my house as well as get the carpets cleaned. Because of all the other work, I had to reschedule the carpets 2x. Well, I thought they were coming on Monday, and Drake's had me on their calendar for Tuesday. Unfortunately, my new tenants were moving in on Tuesday! I called Drake's Monday, early afternoon, and they came right over. Scott was absolutely wonderful. Not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, he lowered my stress level that day by at least 3 octaves. And my carpets looked great! i am not the best caretaker of carpeting, and these 11 year old carpets looked fabulous. Scott removed a number of stains, and all the old nasty dirt. I bought a sisal carpet and this company installed it for me. They were able to do an excellent job. They were able to install this even though other companies could not do this. They were very accessible. The price was reasonable. They were friendly and compassionate as well. I did a full home renovation and they were by far one of the best vendors I came across.

The job they did was impressive, the carpets looked brand new (after 6 months of being abused by a tenant's puppy). I was very grateful at their ability to fit me into an already full schedule and come on relatively short notice. They came on-time, were true to their estimated cost and were very professional. We will absolutely recommend them and use them again.

I chose this vendor as I had used them previously and was very satisfied. The areas of this job were relatively small but with lots of "nooks and crannies" making the installation a challenge. Both the carpet and tile came out very nicely. I would definitely use them again.

I called with approximate rug measurements and upholstery descriptions. I was given an estimate over the phone and made an appointment to have the work done on a Thursday. They came right on time. We have a dog and, at one time, had two. We have family, including small grandchildren, who visit frequently. The rugs and sofa were exceptionally dirty. Nothing had been cleaned in over a year and even that was a poor job done by someone who had left a flyer on the door (I was desperate!). Drake's worked several hours on the upholstery alone, took their time and were very thorough. I had assumed they would clean the rugs in my house as I knew most places charge quite a bit extra to take the rugs out to their facility for cleaning. What a surprise to find that Drake's would take the rugs out at no extra charge. They delivered the rugs on the following Sunday. We are more than pleased with the results and the price. Everything is so clean and looks at least 12 shades lighter as if new! We highly recommend this service and will definitely use them again.

After visiting Drake's showroom and picking out our new carpet, we made an appojntment for April 11th. Diana, the owner, and her crew arrived at around 9 AM and began disconnecting our HDTV setup and moving furniture out of the bedroom. The carpet installation was done in approximately 4 or 5 hours and the re-hookup of our TV system and moving the furniture back into the bedroom took approximately another hour. Diana remained on-site the entire time that her crew was here and I found that very impressive. She was very knowledgeable about dismantling certain pieces of furniture and handling of the movement of our HDTV setup. The crew worked very efficiently and did a great job on the carpet installatiion! I could have matched the price of the job anywhere but it would be hard to find a more professional and knowledgeable company. I would definitely use them again!

The carpet cleaners arrived right on time and got right to work. The bedroom carpet that we asked them to clean is very old and was very dirty. This was a last ditch effort to save the carpet before deciding whether to invest in a new one. Although the job was supposed to last one and a half to two hours they spent four and a half hours getting the carpet as clean as possible. They even cleaned an area rug at no extra charge since the area of the bedroom carpet was 100 square feet below their minimum price. The end result was that the carpet look one thousand better and the odor is gone. The fact remains that we will still have to replace the carpet in the near future but they did such a great professional job that we can now take our time deciding on colors and type of carpet. I was charged exactly what I was told on the phone. The cleaning crew is exceptionally professional and very personable. They are very easy to work with and I will use them again when the need arises.

They explained exactly how they were going to work and why and then got the job done. It is now March and the carpets they cleaned are holding up beautifully and there were some spots that I didn't think would come out and they did !! First rate performance at a fair price....

they were marvellous; I cannot praise them too much. They arrived on time, were polite, listened well, and made the small sectional look like new again. The armchairs are quite old -- maybe 25 years, and they also turned out looking good. They were thorough and took their time to make sure everything was done well.

It is a family business. They are pleasant, responsive, and they do a great job.I had a reaction to what I thought was the chemicals they used and was coughing for days after. They came out again and redid it with water and I was better after that. Several months later I discovered I have a severe allergy to dust mites and that is probably why I had the reaction but they were very responsive anyway. I heartily recommend them and will definitely use them again.

The owner came for the initial inspection and estimate - she said she liked to meet new customers. I thought it was a nice touch. She was observant and took off her shoes immediately upon entering. She quickly measured and shared some tips and observations as she went along. For example, she recommended specific treatments for spot cleaning specific kinds of stains and warned us the carpet in the office under the chair was wearing very thin. She also took time to answer a few questions about refinishing our hardwood floors. On cleaning day, a single person showed up on time. I was a little concerned it might take long, but he was fairly quick. One surprise is that he used a portable machine rather than a truck mounted system. I asked him if that would mean less pressure and mediocre results - he assured me it was just as effective. In the end it seemed close enough. One drawback was that he needed to fill and dump the hot water water inside the bathroom. He did try to clean up. The carpets dried much faster than a previous cleaning service we used - walkable within 24 hours and dry in 48 hours (we have nylon carpets with a closed loop but the nap is patterned with varying heights). They were noticeably cleaner and we didn't have the streaking/striping we experienced from a previous cleaner. A couple small areas were missed and a couple tough stains were still a little visible, but overall we're happy.

Starting with the request for service, to the actual performance of the job it was a breeze. In my 30 years of living in Los Angeles, this was my best experience with Carpet Cleaning. They were puctual, stopped by to give me an estimate late in the evening and provided the service with out a problem. Scott you are the best. Very professional and competent. Excellent service overall. Initial phone contact and conversation with a representative of Drake's was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and gave an estimate of the cleaning services based on the information I gave. They arrived on the scheduled date on time and ready to work. The work was done professionally, quickly and was done within the estimated time frame. The final charges met the estimate which was fair and accurate. We will use Drake again and will gladly recommend them to others.

They were personable and professional, as well as very respectful of everything in my densely furnished home. They moved many pieces of furniture and miscellaneous small decor items and meticulously placed small vinyl squares under every contact point once these items were put back in place. (When I had the previous carpeting cleaned, the vendor did not do that, resulting in rust marks made by the metal tabs at the bottom of table legs.) He said I didn't have to, but we tipped them $25 on top of the charge of $175. We were very pleased with the interaction, the service and outcome of this visit and we will not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommend.

They were very professional and great about moving all of my furniture. Very respectful and nice and I felt comfortable having them in my home. Very pleased with the work done and would strongly recommend others use them and I will definitely use them again.

This was the second time I have used them. Both times they did an excellent job, and I will use them again.

We had gotten many estimates, and Drake's was quite competitive. But the real selling point was that Diana was extremely easy to work with, kind, generous with her time, very clear in setting expectations. The workmen were prompt, paid attention to details, courteous, and did a fantastic job, particularly since the job turned out to be slightly more complex than originally planned.

Instead of replacing our 17-year-old carpeting, we decided to try to revive it with a good, professional cleaning. We had an unsatisfactory experience before with a big franchise, so we wanted to use a family-owned, independent business, local in the Culver City area. We checked Angie?s List to find Drakes, just 3 miles from our condo. We called Scott to come and give us an estimate. He arrived on time, measured, and said he would do the 3 rooms for $175. That was below the minimum we expected, and since Scott impressed us as a knowledgeable professional who would respect our property, we immediately agreed to the job. We didn?t even get a second estimate. Our condo is on the third floor of a complex, and I told Scott I did not want 150 ft of hose going down to a truck. Scott said no problem, because modern, portable equipment provides excellent vacuum which can outperform a long hose. The portable equipment can go anywhere the doorway is wide enough, and can operate with a modest hose length. Scott and Cameron arrived on time for the cleaning appointment. Working as a 2-man team, they put in a full 2 hours, moving furniture which had not been moved in a decade, and cleaning areas that had never even been vacuumed. Of course we did not want them to move the full bookcases, the heavy sofa, etc., but they worked around and under very well. All the while, they were both very friendly and respectful. We are very satisfied with the result, and will live with our old carpet for a few more years. When the time comes to replace the carpeting and hard floors, we will definitely call Drakes first.

They came out and gave me a thorough estimate, fully disclosing any obstacles they might encounter or any extra charges that I might incur due to the complexity of the soiling/ smell issues. The arrived promptly, did a thorough job - which took a little longer than expected because of the added work they had to do. They moved and replaced furniture, put down protective barriers underneath, and were quick and efficient. They got out (almost) all spots and the carpet dried fairly rapidly, they charged me less than the hourly rate would have been- and offerred to come back to spray deodorizing chemical again, gratis, if there was still a urine smell after the carpet dried. I will definitely use them again.

They did a wonderful job here. We have celadon green carpeting and one of our house keepers was careless and spilt some Clorox on the carpet and bleached it out. They were able to create a green celadon dye and applied it and the carpeting looks beautiful in those areas, you can?t even tell that it was repaired.

Excellent from start to finish. The two men from Drake's were meticulous in their cleaning of our couch and just as meticulous with the cleanup afterwards. Since our couch doesn't have any cushions (it's all one piece), the price was the lower end of the range I was quoted over the phone. They did a great job on it. Looks almost like new.

I just used them a second time about a month ago - the previous time was about a year ago. I don?t have a very big carpeted area. They did a very good job. They got all the stains out. They were very reliable, nice and professional. They came out promptly when I called. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future if necessary.
