DECORATOR'S PLACE CORP.

On Angie I researched carpet and it's installation for our apartment rental. We went to several places with high recommendations. The berber carpet we liked was about $1,200 to $1,400, which was a bit more than we wanted to spend. Then we saw an ad in our AAGLA magazine and checked out  Decorator's Place Corporation. There was just one old review on Angie's. They were rated A for price but B on the other categories. We decided to go with Decorator's Place Corporation because they were going install felt padding and gave us an excellent price. Amir, the salesman is very good. He gave us an excellent deal on 69 yards of berber carpet with installation. Total: $900. On Friday morning, the installers came as promised and they were very professional. The carpet looks really good. But we did have one bad incident which made me downgrade the overall experience to B. We were suppose to pay 1/2 down before starting the job, then the rest when the job was completed. My husband did pay half with his credit card. However, Amir forgot to take down the credit card information so the other half could be charged when the job was finished. Carol from their office called and made my husband feel like he was at fault, made him feel like he was stealing and demanded he come down right away to their office. I did fax the information to her. Her behavior spoiled our otherwise very good experience. Of course, the true test of the carpet will be how it stands up to reasonable wear. Even though my husband did have the unfortunate experience at the end, he would still go back to them in the future. He would just make sure the credit card info was written on the invoice next time.

Ken, the salesman was terrific. We wanted carpet/flooring for a rental unit and he showed us what holds up (and looks) best for that purpose. Installation went very well, they arrived around 10:00 am and finished by 6:00 pm.
