About us

Frank’s Heating & Refrigeration has been established since 1988. Owner and service technician Frank Ormonde had worked many long hours when starting the business which was then known as Frank’s Refrigeration. Working out of his home for 2 years, Frank started installing and servicing restaurant equipment. As time progressed the business expanded to the heating industry adding valuable employees and moving into a larger office location. Frank’s Refrigeration then changed its name to Frank’s Heating & Refrigeration. Wanting to expand into our extended community in Curry County, Frank decided to add another location which is now known as Orca Heating & Refrigeration. With the two companies and many valuable employees, Frank now has the ability to provide the knowledge and comfort to both residential and commercial customers. Currently Frank’s Heating & Refrigeration along with Orca Heating & Refrigeration are providing comfort and quality service to the Del Norte, Curry and Humboldt Counties.

I called on the weekend because that's when it failed, naturally. They told me how to get by until Monday morning, when the rates were much lower. They cam, they fixed, I paid, they left. Been working fine ever since.

The house was about 15 years old and the heat pump in the unit went out. They came and looked at it. They brought a book with various products and prices with full instillation included. I picked the one I wanted, they ordered it and a few days later it arrived. They installed the heat pump and removed the old one. I am happy. I had to wait about 4 days because they did not have the product in stock.
