The service went very well and I would have no problem referring Pioneer Door to others.

On 6/11, Spencer came over to diagnose a funny noise produced by our garage door while opening. He was not able to find the cause of noise, but he oiled all of our hinges and checked door balance, all seemed well. He noticed our rollers were worn out, so he replaced all of them.... within 20 mins. To this day, I'm still trying to figure out how he changed them all so quickly, especially because our garage has become a storage (no, we're not hoarders) so there was definitely minimal space for access to door hinges. Spencer was in & out in 45 mins, and the price was reasonable ($95 svc call fee + $70 to replace 10 rollers minus $10 Angie's List discount). Garage was much, much quieter and all was well... Until three days later when the door started making a series of noise again. Out came Ryan on 6/17 at 8 am to diagnose. Turns out, it was just them rollers trying to blend with the track assembly because they're the new kids on the block. Ryan greased them again and away went the noise. No svc call fee charged. Both times, the company gave us a 2-hr time frame for when the techs will show, and both times, they called to let us know the tech was on his way and his ETA. Calling to notify and showing up when you say you will is a big deal to me, and Pioneer is a true professional in this regard. Although their service call fee is slightly above average, they'll remain as our go-to garage company because of their professionalism and work quality .

Estimate was provided by Michael, who was punctual, professional, and very informative. The garage door was installed by Ryan who was also punctual and professional. He did an excellent job and even hauled some junk I had in the garage along with the old door. I highly recommend Pioneer Door Inc. These people are polite, very competent, and know what they are doing.

My garage door would only go part of the way down, even when it was disconnected from the motor. Since the garage door would not close and the contents were exposed, I needed to have it attended to right away. When I called the following morning, they were able to fit me into their schedule that same morning. Because I was at work and couldn't be there the entire time window, they offered to call me 30 min. before arrival, so I could get home and meet them. All went smoothly. They called within the specified time and arrived when planned. Ryan Q. was efficient and helpful, answering my questions and fixing the problem for only the service fee. (I also used the Angie's coupon.) It was a very positive experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Our townhouse community had Pioneer Door set-up a truck display to better acquainted long time residents...We were all very impressed as Alan Hill Jr. checked each units special needs & concerns. Pioneer has completed many new garage door installs to satisfied customers in our condo complex in MDR 4/14 & 5/14. Others are still interested. Very professional and Honest. Susan/Mike

Alan, the owner, did a great job explaining the differences between his product and the product of other companies. For example, his Wood Doors are built on a steel frame to prevent sagging or 'smiling'. Thus, I was very pleased with not only the added features and higher quality of materials of his product, but also Alan's thoroughness in explaining everything and his patience in coming up with a design (and even making it better) that we wanted to emulate. Finally, his installers, Ryan and Nate, did a fantastic job, along with Alan who was there the whole time, in installing the Doors. They look fantastic and operate very quietly.

I highly recommend this company. Ryan performed the service and he did an excellent job. Very professional and on time. When I called and asked for the estimate these guys were much cheaper than any other Garage repair shop and the estimate was the same as what they charged me. They actually did more and I plan to give them extra.$. You won't go wrong with Pioneer Door.

I found Pioneer door from Angies's list. They had good reviews but the were busy on Monday so I made the appointment for Tuesday. The schedule is from 1-3 pm but at 12:45 the service engineer called and told me he would be at my location in thirty minutes. This gave me enough time to go home and wait for the engineer. I thought that was very thoughtful. Once he arrived we discussed my problem and quickly ID'd problems. He readjusted the doors and lubricated the moving parts. I used the Angie's list coupon and got $10 off. So the service call cost $85 after $10 discount. Will use this vendor again. Thank you members for recommending this company.

After years of getting out of the car to open/close the garage door, we'd had enough. We'd had a friend install our opener years ago and it never really worked. My husband always wanted wood carriage doors, but those were out of our budget. We called Pioneer and immediately they reassured us they could find something we'd be happy with. Kim gave me some brands to look at on the Web so we could get a head start before Alan came for a consultation. He brought his mobile showroom and within half an hour we had a door picked out. After installation we had a beautiful metal roll-up door that looks like a wood carriage door from the street. Plus, they fixed our opener so it works like a dream, and we didn't have to buy a new one! We were especially impressed with Alan for not trying to sell us a new opener - another highly-rated company refused to repair it and tried to sell us wood doors at five times the price! It was an excellent experience from start to finish - I only wish we had done it years ago!

I called early in the morning and the company told me they could have someone out the same day, This was was really nice because our garage door wouldn't completely close so we were concerned about the security of the items inside. They didn't tell me there was any type of service fee just to send someone over. I'm not opposed to paying a service fee, but I would have expected to be made aware of that prior to the tech arriving. It's partially my fault because I didn't ask either. The fee is $95, but is applied to any work. The company sent a technician who arrived in a vehicle without any company signage and without a company shirt/uniform of any kind. He advised my wife that he was an installer, but they didn't have any installs today so he was going to do our repair. My wife was immedialtely uncomfortable. After a initial diagnosis he told her he would be finished in about 20 minutes. The technician asked my wife if he could staple an antennae wire (unrelated to the garage door) that I installed up out of his way while he did the repair. She advised him that he could staple the wire. Instead of stapling the wire he decided to CUT the it. The initial assesment of a 20 minute repair didn't fix the problem and we were presented with 2 options. 1. $195 repair, 2. $500 replacement of the opener. My wife called me again since his the explanation of the problem didn't jibe with what he was showing her. (It may sound like my wife is a little needy because she called me 2x for a little repair. I assure you she is not. Let me just say we have 4 boys. To run a household with 4 boys you've got to have it together.) After the 2nd call from my wife I decided to call the company and cancel the service call. I was going to get someone else out. After my cancellation call I was called back by a very nice lady who asked if she could send out their regular technician. He'd been doing service work for the last 16 years and would get the issue fixed. I agreed. I was going to be out $95 and still not have the problem fixed. I didn't really have a choice. The experienced tech showed up in a company vehicle, wearing a company uniform. He verified the problem was correctly diagnosed by the installer. We agreed to the $195 repair. They took $10 off for the Angie's list coupon and another $10 for our problems. The garage door goes up and down properly, but we also advised them that we've been having an issue with the remote openers working. Not just one opener...every opener! That issue still isn't fixed!

I left a message after hours and Kim got back to me the first thing the next morning. She arranged for one of her techs to come out the same day. He was punctual, friendly, and professional. I would recommend them and use them again.

Went to their showroom (before I knew they had a mobile showroom the bring to your home) to see what was available. They showed me all the different quality levels, manufacturers etc. Went with an insulated model with windows. The owner, Alan, came out the next day to measure and write up an estimate. Was able to have the door installed later that same week. The installer came right on time and worked quickly and very cleanly. Explained to me what was required as far as maintenance etc. Later that day I was having some trouble with the opener not closing the door properly. It kept closing and bouncing back open. Called the office and the had the installer come out the next day. He quickly fixed the simple problem. Works perfect now.

They were punctual and professional. I would use them again.

Allen was very personable , professional , punctual and knowledgable about the industry. Listened to my needs and suggested the best alternative for the job. Crew was professional and consulted on an adjustment that had to be made on framing before installing door to insure proper fit. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I picked this service provider based solely on its 97% customer approval rating. They did not disappoint. I called. Sergio came out a couple hours later, diagnosed the problem and fixed it - all in a timely manner. What I liked about Sergio was his customer focus. He was on time. He was respectful. He told me everything he was going to do before he did it, e.g., he needed a part and left to get it, but, told me he was leaving and why before he did. He explained his repair and provided his recommendation for going forward if I experienced another failure. He hustled. He didn't waste time. He had a purpose and he fulfilled it. He was great! Ask for Sergio...!

It was quick efficient and exactly what our garage door needed.

Alan showed up on time to see the door and explained to me how it would be repaired and approximate cost. I received formal quote same evening with same price he had quoted. Contacted office to schedule the service. Spencer who was the repair person showed up on time, informed me that repair will take 2-3 hours which took 2 hours. He got to work immediately and also explained how to watch the wear and tear on the doors and how to take care of it. polite and great attitude and I will recommend the company to anyone who need garage door repaired. Note on my calendar to contact them in one year for another lube work.

I thought that I needed a complete new garage door. The estimator stated that I only needed to have one panel replaced. Once I returned from vacation, they came out and replaced the panel. Right after the repairman left, I noticed a small dent in the new panel. I called him back. He stated that they would replace the panel. Once it came in, he came back out and replaced it. I thought that they would just give me a credit, but they replaced the entire panel. I was very impressed.

This was the 2nd service I had with Pioneer Door Inc.. The 1st time I contacted them was on 9/29/12 for a service call and they replaced 2 springs. I used my Angies list coupon. The total was $129.36 including tax. The service man's name was Spencer. He was very prompt, polite and professional. He took the time to explain everything that he was doing. I promised him that when I needed service again I would ask for him because I was very impressed. On 8/17/13 almost a year later I did need help again. This time there was a loud noise when I opened & closed the garage door and of course I couldn't figure it out. So I called Pioneer Door again and asked for Spencer. He immediately found the problem! The chain was hanging loose & was catching on the metal door. That's when he replaced the gear & sprocket. Both times he gave me the price before he began work. I agreed to the price. I asked a lot of questions while he was working and he once again explained everything that he was doing along the way. While he was on the ladder I told him that the light was not working so he took a look at that and cleaned out the socket. Now that also works perfectly! I would recommend Pioneer Door Inc. to anyone who need service on their garage door and ask for Spencer!

We requested a quote for replacing and coding two remotes we were told that the remotes cost ~$35 each. They mentioned that a service fee was going to be added on top. It turned out that the service fee was $105. The technician was professional and punctual but not mentioning the service fee amount when the quote was requested is a bad point for the company. Especially when the service fee is more than the actual product . I called the operator and he mentioned that service fee is $90 for in-town and $105 for out of town just for driving to the work location. Be careful and ask upfront before contracting the company.

On time, friendly, answered questions, was able to make the door fit on my uneven garage floor so that critters and water can't get in. New doors look beautiful with my old house. Just fantastic!

The install went perfectly. Jeff came at the scheduled time. He was professional and knowledgeable. He gave us some tips to maintain the mechanism. Nice young man. It's nice to know who's coming to the door, especially with young ones in the house. Thanks to Angie's List for the peace of mind and the reviews.

I called and asked that the garage door and opener be checked, fully expecting to have to replace it. It was old and never worked very well. Spencer called me from the rental and we discussed and agreed on what needed to be done. Quick, efficient and very polite. Saved me some money for now and will definitely call them when I need to replace the garage door and opener.

The owner of the company made the initial contact with us. He demonstrated the different types of doors and motorized lifts from a large truck outfitted with working samples of doors available for installation.. He took his time and explained the workings nad values of each type of door and really helped us in the decision process to select our new door. He is very personable and we actually enjoyed the presaentation. The job was done about a week later when our new door arrived at his facility. His servicemen installed the new door and power lift in just an afternoon and took away our old slab door at no extra charge. They charged exactly what the estimate had been. I was completely satisfied with the experience and knowledge with everyone from Pioneer Door. I would recommend them highly and would not hesitate to use then again.
