All in all, Spencer was very professional, showed me every step of the process, explained what to do and what not to do. Most importantly, fixed the problem (without me having spend/replace the expensive parts). So all said, it was completely worth what I paid.

Very good experience. Very professional beginning to end. On-time, thorough estimate with numerous garage door and opener options in his display truck. Alan, the sales rep, patiently answered my many questions. No pushy sales tactics or unusual additional costs. Total cost was about the same, or less than 3 other estimates and I got a couple extras not offered by the others. Installer was on time, wasn't rushed and did a thorough and clean install. He spent a good amount of time answering questions and showing safety beam and opener functions. I now have a very quiet, well sealed, modern garage door.

Sergio showed up between the hours I requested. I explained to him what I needed and he was completely clear of my expectations. He first checked the garage door without the opener to see if it could be aligned. Since both doors are wood they were swollen from years of rain saturating them along with the building shifting affecting the opening so there was not much that could be done. Sergio then move over to the garage door that needed the opener adjusted. He disengaged it from the track and checked the stop points both all the way up and all the way down. He explained his action before the started every step of the way. He proceeded with his checks, adjusted the opener and then he was done (only took about 15 minutes). I already set up an appointment for my Long Beach house for the following Friday to have it serviced as well. Great job Pioneer Door Inc (Sergio and Kim).

I wanted to find a reputable and honest repair connection... went to Angie's List The man's name was Spencer he showed up when he said he would and he was quickly working, found the problem quickly and it was fixed and running smoothly. He asked if I had a coupon, which I did and $105. became $95.

From my initial phone call for an estimate, to the completion of installation, this transaction went smoothly. Everyone I spoke with at Pioneer Door were both professional and courteous. Alan came to my home for the estimate and we discussed the various options available. He was so informative and easy to talk to I was ready to schedule the installation without getting any other estimates. The morning of installation, James called me 45 minutes prior to our appointment to let me know he was on his way. He removed the old steel door, installed the new door, and re-connected the existing door opener. Before he left he walked me through a mini in-service on the the door operation and even showed me some features on my door opener I wasn't aware of. I am so pleased with this purchase I wish I would have done it years ago. Thanks Pioneer Door!

Handyman couldn't handle the job. Called these guys. Technician sorted it out in under an hour. No games.

Both the woman who answered the phone on my initial call and Sergio the technician who came out were friendly, professional, and helpful. Getting the garage door fixed was actually a pleasant experience. I wish this company performed some of the other services I need around the house.

Allen came out to do the estimate for us. He was extremely helpful and nice. He was very easy to talk to and was not pushy. He gave me a lot of options and he went out of his way to find the door I wanted in the color I wanted. When they came to do the work they were on time. James was really nice and showed me what he was doing. He cleaned up his mess and did a great job. I have been happy ever since. I would use them again and recommend them in the future. The cost was a little more but the quality was so good that it was worth it. They go out of their way to help you.

I called Pioneer Door in early August for an estimate on replacing two old wooden garage doors with steel panel garage doors plus openers. I explained to them that the garage was a bit difficult to work with due to a low hanging foundation beam that might prevent the rails and/or opener from extending back. Kim, who answered the call suggested that the owner, Alan come out personally to give me a quote due to the difficult nature of the install. Alan came out a couple days later and quickly assessed what was needed to make everything work. He was on time (despite having to drive over an hour to get to my place), courteous and obviously very knowledgeable about his trade. Alan made very useful suggestions as to what would make sense and was even able to show me samples on site. Pioneer Door is great in that they have a mobile showroom that contains many different types of garage doors installed in it. I scheduled an installation date later that day with Kim. A couple days later, I received a call back that the garage doors (which needed to be custom cut) would not be available till later in August and rescheduled on the first available date. While this may detract from their service for some I appreciate that they called me in a timely manner and rescheduled at the earliest possible date. So, they came on August 29th and demo'd/installed both garage doors. It took about 8 hours but the technician they sent was great. After he was done, he demonstrated the various features of the garage door, remotes and outside panel. He also swept up all the dust and other debris from the work. All in all, it was a great experience. So, I've waited a week to write this to report how the garage doors are, and they work great! The openers they put in from Marantec, are super quiet. My bedroom is right above the garage and we can't hear or feel them open at all! Pioneer Door is an A+ company and definitely experts at their trade!

They not only repaired the garage door but also re-oriented all of the hinges (they said they had been installed backwards) and lubricated all of the moving parts. They were quick and responsive and our garage door now runs more smoothly than it did before it was damaged.

It was a very quick, simple, painless process. And now I have the confidence that my garage door will not open and close unexpectedly, like in the middle of the night.

Everyone who helped us from this company were amazing. From the very professional women who answered the phone to the service tech and the installation guy. They were wonderful and professional. The price was very fair.

I called Pioneer Door and set up an appointment with Alan to come out for an estimate on replacing my old wooden garage doors with the roll up type. (I believe that I was the only one on my block without one). Alan came out at the appointed time around July 7. He was very professional and friendly, going over all my options. I had him give me a quote on 3 different types of doors. He happily obliged. I had everything in writing and felt very comfortable that this company would do a good job. (I had compared this company to 3 others that I was not getting the same feeling about). Alan's personality and knowledge won me out. So, a few days later, I scheduled a date to get the double door and single door installed. I felt bad that a week later, I had to reschedule the installation date as my husband and I had not given ourselves enough weekends to clean our cluttered and messy garage out so that Pioneer could install the doors. (They only required 10 feet of clearance space, but even the entry was obstructed with junk). It gave us a good reason to get this job done. Alan was kind enough to reset the appointment for July 19. The installation person came out at the appointed time (even calling me ahead of time that a.m.). He was very friendly. He seemed to know what he was doing, and although I know it took him a long time to complete this huge project, he was always smiling. I feel bad that I cannot remember his name. He rehooked up my existing garage door opener making it much steadier, and he went over how to maintain the doors, also giving me a print out. He showed me how the doors worked, and said to call the office if I had any follow up questions. I am very happy with the doors (no obvious problems so far), and appreciate the friendliness and professionalism of this company. I would highly recommend them.

Everyone was great: from the lady who set up the appointment on the phone and discussed what was wrong with the doors to the man who came. They were reasonably priced and had a great attitude and good expertise.

Great company, delivered as promised on time and at the quoted price. Which incidentally was 60% less than the nearest competition. Highly recommend!

Alan, the owner came out with a self-contained truck, allowing us to view samples of garage doors and different grades, along with options, such as windows. We also required a new motor, which he gave examples and quotes, as well. We told him we were planning to have the inside of the garage painted first, then install the door, and he pointed out why we might want to do the install first: exisiting hardware, upon removal, would reveal an unpainted service, as well as with the outside strip around the garage door frame. (We took his advice, and are glad we listened !) He also noted an uneven area on the ceiling, which would require some adjustment so that the door rolling system would run smoothly, and be firmly attached. We had also ordered windows, but just before the date set to install, were told the windows were not available, as they were on backorder. We were offered an upgrade, which we accepted. (In the end, we were much happier with the upraded ones.) James, his installer, came on time, and the entire installation, with motor took less than 1/2 a day. We had received several bids, some higher, some lower, but we went with Pioneer Door because of the attention to detail, professional office staff, ease of picking out a door from the comfort of our home, and in the end, an honest business owner who made sure we were happy customers. Bought a garage door opener from Home Depot and contacted Pioneer Door about installation. Staff was extremely nice and patient and answered my questions. Set up an appointment and installer called 20mins before arriving. Installer arrived and was extremely professional. He removed my old opener and the new one was installed in about 90 mins as my opener had a few bells and whistles. Installer also adjusted and oiled my garage door. It use to creak and rattle and now its super silent. Feels like a new door. Couldnt be any happier with their service.

I called this company in the morning and they were out within a few hours. I was very impressed with the technician who was very friendly, professional and efficent. He explained in detail how to operate the new garage door opener which was very helpful. He was open to additional questions. I wouldn't hesitate to contact this company again for any future needs.

I installed a new garage door opener for a 2-car garage for my rental home in West Covina, CA on November 9, 2010. Its an old wooden door with original 1960s parts. I couldn't get the opener to work consistently or properly, so I researched Angies List for help. I called Pioneer, told them I had an Angies List coupon, was told an inspection would cost $75, and they came over promptly at the time scheduled. The repairman did some tests, adjusted the motor & brackets, then discussed potential problems (weak motor, weak parts, warped door, old brackets, wrong springs). We decided to change the springs only and then he did more adjusting to complete the job. He then wrote me up a $200+ bill for his labor & parts which included the $75 inspection. But after I gave him an Angies List coupon, he called his office, and returned with a new bill for only $75! I was very surprised how professional Pioneer was and how much they valued Angies List members. If it wasn't for Angies List, I would have spent triple the cost for this one repair. Would definitely recommend Pioneer Door and I would also use them in the future if needed.

Pioneer came out to evaluate a pull-up garage door that another company said could not be adjusted without new hardware at an approximate cost of $375.00 Pioneer came out, said new hardware was not needed and was able to adjust the door at a cost of about $100.00. I was extremely pleased.

We chose them because we liked the demeanor of the person that came out. We just had a good feeling about him so we went with them. The work went really well. I was just amazed that one person came out here and did the job. I can't even believe how he did that. There were no problems or issues with him. It wasn't particularly the price that we took into consideration. We just liked the professionalism and the demeanor of the person that came out and talked to us. Part of the bottom of the door came loose after about 3 months. We called them and they came right out and repaired it at no charge. It was great.

Pioneer was at our home within an hour of our call for service.They replaced the sping and brackets in a timely and professional manner. The price was reasonable. and the representative showed us how to maintain the door. There is a ten year warranty on the spring and a year long labor warranty.Unlike other companies we have dealt with,Pioneer did not pressure us to buy a new door.We highly recommend them.

They were punctual, accountable, reliable, business-friendly, gave me an Angie's List discount, and felt like I was in good hands. I really trusted them. I've had them before and highly recommended them to my daughter. Just an awesome experience, really delighted and happy with the outcome! Also, came out with workman's comp paperwork which was relieving to me.

Called Allen Hill (owner) at Pioneer Garage Door for an estimate. He came the next day with his "mobile showroom" and gave me an estimate on the spot. We talked over all the options and came up with a workable solution at a fair price. There was no hard sell. His installer (Daniel) came one week later and installed the door with opener. We were very pleased with the workmanship and product. Pioneer uses Amarr doors with Marantec openers, both excellent. if want a no-nonsense sales job with excellent service and product, go with Alan - No bait and switch.

During the estimate, they came and gave us a detailed explanation of what needed to be done and what our options were. When the installers came, it was just what we had talked about. They explained to us how we needed to maintain the door, where to oil it, how everything worked. Great friendly service
