Working with Kim and Alan was fantastic. Amazing customer service and quality work. Alan came out and spent a fair amount of time walking us through our options. Once the door was ready to install Alan came back a couple of times. When he noticed that there were some visible brush strokes in the door he had it repainted/fixed. Excellent service and quality. Great people! I would certainly recommend this company to anyone who needs a new garage door or service.

I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!! Pioneer Door Inc. is an exceptional Garage Door Company. I called other garage door companies and they did not give me the customer service as PIONEER DOOR did. Lorraine, who answered the phone, was wonderful. She spent all the time I needed, and answered all my questions about Garage Doors. They sent out one of their technicians this past Saturday, Oct. 27th and he had to do A LOT of work putting in a new frame before installing our Garage Door and they did not charge me any extra for the extra work they had to do. Pioneer Door was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy I took her advice. Pioneer Door gets all A+++++++'s.

The owner of the company came to our house in a big van with actual samples of roll up doors and motors and everything needed to replace an old door inside. He spent almost two hours with us explaining all about the choices to be made and answering any questions we had. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the door industry and made the experience enjoyable and by the time he left, we felt very comfortable with our choices and confident we would be pleased with the results. About a week later, two of his servicemen returned with our new door which they installed and demonstrated to our satisfaction. They explained that we could add a motorized opener at any time in the future and explained operation of the door and answered all questions. We were very pleased with the speed and professionalismo of the entire experience and would recommend them highly.

My garage door cables broke and I was at a loss as to what to do. I used Angie's Big Deal and called Pioneer Door. They came promptly, changed out the cables and did some minor repairs without charge - which was very sweet. I used them again a couple months later when my tenant had a similar problem, and we had the same great experience!!

My tenant told me his garage door cables broke so I called Pioneer Doors. I've used them twice in the past and they were, again, quick to respond. They worked with my schedule so I didn't have to take time off work. They are always helpful and very professional. My tenant was called just before they arrived and he met them at the address. The cables were repaired promptly and within the quote they gave me over the phone. I was able to pay over the phone, for which I was grateful. The only downside was they didn't send the receipt they said they would send - I just remembered. I'd better call! LOL Patty

Our garage door spring broke on Father's Day; we called and left them a message, and they returned our call promptly on Monday, so we scheduled a repair for Wednesday. They were very professional and answered all of our questions. They did a great job!

OUr garage door would open part way. Naturally, when the repair person came, it worked. But I decided to change the 20+ year old system. Spencer (service person) recommended 3/4 hp system. Another excellent feature which I did not realize until operating was how quiet and stable it was compared to the old on. The later aspect was due to the way Spencer made new brackets for the system.

I got estimates from several garage door suppliers, and Pioneer Door not only gave me the most competitive pricing, but Alan was the most comprehensive in describing my options and what would be involved in the installation. Alan came out with his cleverly designed display van to show me the garage door options, which was more helpful than just looking at a brochure. He was on time and professional. We had several email exchanges while I made my decision, and Alan promptly responded to all my questions. The installation date was scheduled about 3 weeks from my signing the contract. James arrived on time, calling me about half an hour before his arrival, and the install went great. He was organized in his work, and seemed to work very efficiently and carefully. Once done, he cleaned up the job site and ran me through how to maintain the moving parts on the door and how to open it manually. I am totally pleased with the experience I had with Pioneer Door.

We needed a new garage door as our current door was thirty years old. We needed a new garage door opener because we were unhappy with the performance of the old opener. We wanted the best quality insulated steel door even though the salesman, Alan Hill, pointed out that we would do just as well with a less expensive model. Same is true with the opener. Alan came to the original appointment on time and was extremely helpful and low pressure. The installer, Sergio, was on time, friendly, and did an excellent job. I have compared the fit of the door within the doorframe to other similar doors around the neighborhood, and there are none better and a number that are not as good. I am completely satisfied with the entire experience.

We found them to be punctual, came out in a timely fashion, were able to fix the problem. Overall, we thought they were very honest, as they instructed us to repair our garage door instead of pushing to buy a new door.

The main spring on our sectional garage door gave out. We contacted Pioneer Door and told them about the problem with the door. They sent Sergio, their technician within a couple of hours of calling since we were close by. He evaluated the problem and informed us that we needed a replacement roll-up spring for our door. He recommended a spring that was better than the original spring, and installed the new spring in about half an hour. This was done all for a little over $200. Great work and great service. I would definitely have them do work for us again and would recommend them to friends and family.

Repairs completed in a couple of hours...

Pioneer door was the third company I got an estimate from, and Alan (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with. His price was right in the ballpark, but his knowledge and creative solution to our problem was why I hired him. He saw our installation issue right away, and his solution was simple and sensible. He came out personally for the estimate, and then again for the installation. For the estimate, he came out with a mobile showroom full of samples (including working openers) so I could really see the different products and quality levels. On the day of the installation, they arrived on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up afterwards. The drywall and framing they did was perfect, and the door installation is a clean and perfect fit with a tight seal. I got a full walkthrough of the system and the programming, and I have not needed to call them back for any reason. It has been about six weeks, and everything is working perfectly. I'd recommend them to my friends and family, and certainly use them again myself if the need arrises. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Alan joked that my friends would comment on how quiet my garage door opener was, and I thought he was being sarcastic. He wasn't. I've had several people comment specifically on how smooth and quiet my door is during operation, and it always makes me laugh. I have to say, it is a darn quiet door.

Garage door suddenly started working very slowly so I called Pioneer (who was the original installer 11+ years ago and who has come out a couple of times since) and they scheduled a next day appointment between 7-9am. As they had noted, the repair person called about 15 minutes before arriving which was about 7:30am. He opened the garage door and immediately diagnosed the problem as a broken spring (had I thought about that I could have seen it with the door closed). I also pointed out a problem we were having with the opener switch mounted on the wall of the garage near the entry door and he pointed out that the switch was worn and needed to be replaced. He checked our file with his office to see if the springs were under warranty, which they weren't (warranty is 10 years, they were the original springs from 2001). Springs were $200 and the switch was $40. He had the springs replaced in about 15 minutes, replaced the switch in 5 minutes and oiled the rollers and hinges as well. He tested all the parts of the system, and showed me how the wall switch worked. The job was done in a half-hour and everything is working great. Pioneer continues to be a top-notch company when it comes to garage door installations and repair. They maintain an electronic file of all service done, so when I made the appointment the person answering the phone took a moment to review all previous work to see if this was a recurring issue or warranty issue. The repair person showed up on-time, had all the right tools and skills, and completed the job for what I consider a fair price.

After repeated delays from Mesa Garage Door, I ended up cancelling an entire garage door replacement and decided to try contacting Pioneer Door on whether a sectional garage door could be repaired. Sure enough, after speaking with Kim and sending them a few photos, it was indeed repairable and much more affordable than going with Mesa. After a few emails and phone call confirmations, a repair representative (named Sergio) arrived promptly on the scheduled day. The process of installing a steel strut bar took approximately 25 minutes and Sergio explained there was still life left in the door and the springs for a few more years, but also mentioned that he would keep a record of the garage dimensions since the door was over 15 years old. From the initial contact through completion of the repair, I am completely satisfied with the results and will definitely keep them in mind for garage door related issues.

I was greeted with a friendly voice when I called to schedule an appointment. I was asked to describe the problem and the woman I spoke with offered some possibilities to consider and explained that Spencer would provide a free estimate, but the service call itself would be $85.00. I told her I had a $10 coupon through Angie's List and she asked me to print it out to give to Spencer but if I had any trouble printing out the coupon, they would still honor it. I appreciate that she told me the name of the person who would show up to my house so that I know who to expect. Basically, my gargage door would not open automatically but would close automatically after I opened it manually. Spencer arrived within the scheduled time frame and called me to make sure he was at the right garage as he entered the complex where I live. He took several minutes to look over the unit and determined that the problem was dirty contacts. He cleaned them and generally serviced the opener. There was no need to pay for any parts and I was simply charged the $75.00 for the discounted service call. When he gave me the receipt for payment, Spencer explained to me that there was a 30 day guarantee on the labor and encouraged me to call if there were any problems with the work. Not only has the garage door consistently opened automatically, it opens more quietly and smoothly. I suppose the servicing Spencer conducted along with cleaning the contacts left my opener better than it was before the problem occurred.

Second time we have used this company because they are really extremely professional, punctual and priced right. Our old wooden garage door motor decided that it had just "had enough". Called Pioneer, they arranged to have one of their personnel, Daniel, come to fix it at a time convenient to us. We were aware that the motor was on its last legs and so were not surprised that we had to replace it. As the company new the history of the door and the likelihood of a motor replacement, Daniel came prepared, installed the new motor, adjusted the other door (no new motor needed) and away he went. The new motor is a joy to behold. It's so quiet and runs so very smoothly. Pioneer is a company that I trust, from the office manager to the technicians themselves -- all totally reliable, informative and friendly people. I have not hesitation at all in recommending this company.

Excellent experience - Alan and his team were professional and easy to work with from start to finish, not to mention a very high level of expertise. Alan came out for the free quote and showed me how the doors and moving parts are constructed, as well as the available types of openers (motors). We had old, heavy sliding garage doors where you could only have one side open at a time. Alan and two workers came out and removed the old doors and tracks and installed new doors in one full day. We went with a plain design with just vertical grooves in the doors. This was a very custom job due to the height of the door openings and limited clearance in the garage. The finished product is absolutely beautiful. The doors are painted with a custom color to match our window trim. And they are so quiet! We have a very old house with the living room over the garage, and I was concerned about loud garage doors. They're so quiet I can't even hear them. They have a soft start-up feature which is really nice. I couldn't be happier with the new doors and would gladly recommend Pioneer to family and friends.

Overall, everything was great. They came out ordered the new opener and came out and installed it. Installation took about 2 hours and the work was "quality work". You get what you pay for!

Great experience. Allen came out for an estimate. We loved the show truck he brought which had samples of the doors and openers. He was very knowledgeable and spent time answering all of our questions. Best of all, we said we could have our door as soon as in 3 days installed, if we catch the Monday delivery truck. Kim on the phone was very helpful in scheduling the estimate and the installation times. Will be using for all our garage door repairs.

I called to get information on my garage door. The gal told me to e-mail pictures of the door, which I did promptly. I e-mailed the pictured three times and called again but never received a single response. As far as I can tell, this company has poor business practices in responding back to customers. I would not recommend this company. UPDATE: Kim called to apologize for not getting back to me and Alan called to make an appointment to see the garage door. We were surprised that the insert replacement was so expensive. It was almost as much as a new garage door! However, that was par for course with the other companies that we checked with. Alan was very knowledgeable; Spencer removed and reinstalled the insert and he was very nice and called when he was on his way and when he was going to be late. Pioneer Door was able to turn around a bad start to a happy ending.

From the initial contact the owners and staff @ Pioneer Door were informative, personable, polite and professional. They arrived on time for both the estimate and installation and completed the project on time. Perfect service from a perfect company, thanks Alan.

i'm looking for a basic garage door installed with opener. i did it for $800 in the Bay Area about one year ago, where things are supposed to be pricier than SoCal. The price they quote was $1300, and I felt insulted when I try to negotiate a price with them.
