Mission Concrete

Needed a new driveway, old asphalt driveway was buckled and cracked. Mission Concrete's foreman, Juvenal , arrived at the appointed time for an estimate. In addition to the driveway, I decided to add an additonal parking area for a motorhome and a concrete walkway next to the garage, from the sidewalk to my back yard. Juvenal, quickly undrstood what I wanted done, and suggested my need for a drain in the driveway to the curb. The removal of large amounts of grass to provide for the additional parking area left nothing to soak up rain water. This was borne out after an unusual thunder storm here in So. Cal. The work was done in a punctual and professional manner. All debris and grass was removed to my satisfaction. The price for the job was much more reasonable than another estimate I had.. I plan to use Mission Concrete for any further concrete work I require. . .

We had several contractors make bids for this job and Mission Concrete was the most thorough (and spent the most amount of time) in providing the project bid. They also had the best pricing. After reading the Angie's List reviews we decided to go with Mission Concrete for the project. Mission Concrete finished the job in two days--1st day they removed the old asphalt driveway and the second day they installed the rebar, control joints, and poured the new concrete. We are pleased with the new driveway as it is very thick and sloped properly so the rain water drains away from the house. Many neighbors and visitors have made compliments on the new driveway and one visitor asked for Mission Concrete's contact information to get a driveway replacement bid.

Mission Concrete removed our old asphalt driveway plus a sidewalk that had been pushed up and broken by a large tree root. Juvenal and his crew showed up early each morning and everything went smoothly. I was really impressed by how well the crew worked together and how efficiently they work. The finished job looks great and we are very happy with how it looks. The price charged for the job was very fair, and we are happy with that also. We do not hesitate recommending Mission Concrete.

Juvenal and his crew put in about 1300 sq ft of concrete. They did an excellent job prepping the grounds and cleaning up after themselves. Basically, the removed the front patio (concrete), walkway (concrete) and the rear patio (pavers) and poured in concrete to replace it all while also pouring concrete along the side of the house. The crew even moved the old pavers over to my neighbors house who wanted to reuse them. They started on a Thursday, continued prepping on Friday, poured all the concrete on Monday and finished cleaning up on Tuesday. I look forward to using Mission concrete again at my father's house to removed an old blacktop driveway.

Excellent job. We added on to an existing property line wall and they were able to match a very old wall that had an unusual pattern and color. It is a perfect job . They were on time , professional, fast and kept the area clean and organized. Their price was very reasonable and I will hire them again for other projects I've already recommended them to neighbors. Juvenal the foreman who oversees the project and Kamealoha who works in the office were very helpful and easy to work with. They are courteous and quick to response. This is a very small job for them and yet Juvenal gave me a very good price. The access to the backyard is long and limited that increase the difficulty of the task. Juvenal and his team were punctual and the job started on the day that we agreed. The job was finished on time in a couple days as quoted. Juvenal and his team are professionals, the job they've done was excellent. I could not be any happier to have found them and will recommend to anyone who needs any concrete work done.

Juvenal the foreman of the job made sure I got what I wanted. was very easy to work with. They were punctualand finished each days work as planned. When the forms and steel were laid down the night before pouring concrete i showed a electrcal contractor for parking lot lighting, We both agreed what excellent prep work had been done. I spent $1500. They quote really low prices but I had to wait several weeks for them to do the work. They do good work for their low prices so that's very good. They cleaned everything up.

Everything went according to schedule. Juvenal would let me know the night before or call me & let me know when they ware going to be at my house. Juvenal & his workers are very good, honest, hard workers & they always do excellent job! His estimates are always very reasonable & very professional. This is my 3rd job using Mission Concrete. They were more than good! Just like the other reviewers said, they are not the cheapest but their work would definately impress customers.They came in help after we fired the concrete contractor we used to use. Since the work scheduled has been delayed for two weeks, they helped us rush the work done between their busy schedules. All workers were professional. They even worked under the rain. I can't say enough good things about them! Thank you so much!

Very happy with the service from start to finish. They let us know up front how much they needed to start, and when they needed more money; we split the cost with the neighbor and we were very pleased with the communication and workmanship. Definetly would hire them again. The fence was 112 foot grey block wall 6x8x16, footing and rebar was all done to city code, and inspected each step of the way. We would definitely recommend Mission Concrete, and plan to use them in the future!

Everything from my initial call to the finished product went perfectly. Crew was on time and they worked fast. All debris was removed. Definitely will use them again if the need arises and will recommend them to anyone needing concrete work.

Juvenal came out , surveyed the job and gave me a price the next day. Very friendly and professional. I called him when I received the bid , because it was quite a bit lower than the other two I got from other companies. We went over the job requirements and all was good. I accepted his bid, he said he had to finish two other jobs and would call in the next week to schedule my job. I ended up having to call him(busy guy) to schedule. We set a day and time and when that day came,he showed up with himself and two other workers and had it all formed in 3 hrs. I was informed the concrete would be there first thing in the morning and they were going to use a pumper truck to get it to the back yard. 200' from the street. Every thing went perfect. Just like a professional company should. The workers busted their backs making all this happen. Worked through the heat of the day and finished by 2:00 in the afternoon. The job turned out just the way I wanted and by shopping on Angies List I saved about $2,000. I would suggest Mission Concrete come and take a look at your concrete work after you already have a bid or two so you can compare prices. Well worth the extra effort. I called to get an estimate on having some concrete done in my backyard. Juvenal contacting me immediately. He informed me that he could be at my house the same day to provide me an estimate, that was awesome. When Juvenal came to the house, he was very informative on my questions and explained everything to me in great detail. I explained to him what my vision was and he know what I wanted. During Juvenal's estimation, he explained to me that he personally has been pouring concrete for several, several years, the length of time Mission Concrete has been in business, and the type of contract work he performed. I immediately got the vibe that he was the contractor for me. Based on my conversation with Juvenal and my wife, I didn't need to get another estimate. I knew Juvenal gave me an extremely fair price for what needed to be done. I called him a couple of days after he came out, we discussed his schedule and Juvenal explained to me that he could come out the following Thursday & Friday. Juvenal and his crew arrived at the house exactly the time frame he informed me and upon arriving, he explained to me that he and his crew could finish everything in one day, that to me was great. During the entire process of demolition of the planters and doing the frame work, Juvenal was very informative. He's crew was also very courteous, hardworking and very professional. After all the concrete was laid, it looked great!!!!! Juvenal and his crew did an awesome job, I will definitely recommend them to any of my neighbors, friends and family. (On a personal note, when I see an owner helping his crew in anyway, is a major plus. This to means the person is great at what he does, cares about his crew, cares about what he does for a living, and is a down to earth person)

We received two estimates prior to contacting Mission Concrete, and we were not only astounded by the prices, but we were not impressed with the estimators' professionalism (one was late without apology, and the other took a week to provide a bid). I contacted Kamealoha through the Angie's List link (for which we received a 5% discount), and an appointment was made for an estimate. Juvenal was coming from a job site, and called to let us know he was about 15 minutes away. When he arrived, we showed him what we wanted and he took the measurements. I had the estimate the following afternoon, and we emailed Kamealoha to set up a time for the job. We really didn't expect them to be available so soon, but they began work on July 2, about one week after the estimate. Juvenal and his crew arrived at 7:30 a.m., on time and ready to work. When I arrived home at 9:30 a.m., the driveway and walkways were gone, and they were setting up the frame for the concrete. They finished the first day by 1:30 p.m., and told us they would return the following day just before 7:00 a.m., because the concrete would be arriving then. Sure enough, by 7:00 a.m., Juvenal's brother, Vic, was watering the surface in preparation for the pour, and the cement mixer (total excitement for our 4-year-old) backed in. It took about 30 minutes to pour the 800 square feet of concrete, and the truck left. The crew spent the next four hours sweeping and finishing the surface. By the time they left (removing the frame), the concrete was pretty hard, but we were told not to walk on it for a day, and not to park on it for a couple more. Overall, we were really impressed with the entire process. All contact was professional and timely, and our new driveway looks fantastic. We've had neighbors stop and talk to us, and apparently, one of them came by during the job and asked for a business card. Today, the same neighbor came by to talk to my husband about the job and price, and he was very pleased. Maybe there's another job in our neighborhood in the future? We will definitely be working with Mission Concrete again. Our back yard has a variety of patio additions from previous owners, so we will be looking to have it redone in the next year or so. When the time comes, Mission Concrete will be the only call we will make.

Mission Concrete - Especially Juvenal was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them over & over again. We called out 5 companies to give us a price.. They were right in the middle of the quotes we received! Juvenal came out to our home and was very pleasant!!! Juvenal was very helpful and pointing out good ideas and also pointed out items that could become a potential hazard with our home if we didn't fix it. Which we are fixing with the landscaper this week! Of course - we have a party at the end of the month and needed the landscape beautiful but they wouldn't do anything until our concrete was done. So the primary reason we choose Mission Concrete was because they could start right away - and we are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad we choose them. From Kamealoha sending email correspondence & contracts to working with Juvenal in person and over the phone.. Juvenal & his team went out of their way and made our house even more beautiful.. We received great compliments over the weekend & even from our landscaper this morning! Juvenal and his team are by far hard, hard workers!! Juvenal even walked us through - going from just the basic grey sidewalk to adding a texture to it (stamping) which matches the stack stone on our house!!! Juvenal has a great eye for detail and great customer service skills! I can't say enough great things about this company!
