Dan was able to find the circuit board replacement for my eleven year old unit within a couple of days and rushed out to put it in and get my heat back on during a cold spell. Dan explained in detail what what he found and didn't act like women "don't understand." We do and I appreciated his respectfulness. He looks you in the eye and shakes your hand. I was touched by his desire to get my heat on asap for my comfort. I expected the part to take a few more days but they found it and picked it up. I will call Danco for service if I need it again and will certainly recommend them to others. A nice Family Business J. Walsh-Lakewood
Description of Work: They were able to inspect the day I called. A gas valve and filter was replaced the next day, then the circuit board had to be replaced as well.

Everyone in the business we came in contact with was very helpful and were very professional in helping us with our problem. They advised us when to expect someone or if their was a problem in getting parts etc. This is the second time we have call on Danco. About a year and a half ago we called them and we had the same great experience.
Description of Work: It was trouble shooting over a few days of trying several difference approaches to the issue we were having with the air unit. The unit is about 10 years old and it presented a couple of problems. But with their patience and perseverance it has been working great since.

We were very pleased with the office staff that kept us informed on the ETA of their service person. Dan came out the evening of July 5th, explained the part we needed, then arranged to have someone come out the following morning. A customer service lady called us several times during this process to keep us informed of what was needed, when someone could come out and convenience of a repair service call. The whole experience was painless. Dan was very informative and we felt very comfortable trusting him with our service. Our service was professional, timely, friendly and very efficient. Thank you for a good experience. We would not hesitate to recommend this company for service and call back for any future needs.
Description of Work: Our air conditioner had stopped running. It was working one day and next day did not cool. My husband had checked the filter (recently changed) and replaced one of the fuses. Dan came out to our house to trouble shoot and replace the start cap on the A/C unit.

I was very happy with him. I had recommended him to other people. I and my building was concerned about the noise of the unit. I had them call him. He really went above and beyond, I felt like he went up on the roof several times checking up everything, came back checked down stairs, went back up and checked again to see whether it was heating or not. He really did complete maintenance to figure out. He said he could not check the air conditioning properly, he would come back and check that in the summer when the heat was going on. I felt guilty; I thought that we should have paid him extra because he figured it out that it was the thermostat that had the problem and not the heating and air conditioning unit. He told me that he don't have to charge me for that, I could do it myself and I did. I just went on top of the unit, replaced the base part, and did have no problems. I would absolutely use his services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Danco. The last time I used his services was about four months ago and it was through Angie's list coupon deal. The price was around $50 for full maintenance deal.

Description of Work: Danco was the provider for a Big Deal service, which was a furnace check-up. The technician was Kenny. He was courteous and thoughtful enough to use cotton booties whenever he walked on my bamboo floors. Kenny's examination of my furnace revealed a crack in the fire box, which I could also see. Unfortunately, according to Kenny, he could not perform the tune-up because of city safety regulations. He advised me that the furnace would need to be replaced, which really didn't surprise me because of the age of the unit. Furthermore, my own research had determined that the manufacturer had gone out of business in the 1980s. Kenny then provided an estimate for his company to replace the unit.

Very smooth. The original technician I spoke with on the phone was very detail oriented and sounded honest; he said to wait until morning so we wouldn't have to pay triple time. The on-site technician was also very detail oriented and seemed honest. Very impressed with both technicians.
Description of Work: The technician found that our central air conditioning had an iced coil. He de-iced the coil. He found that the system had a leak from the low side charging port and was low on freon. He replaced the Shrader valve on the low side charging port. He also charged the system with 3 lbs. of freon.
