Pete was amazing. Extremely punctual and professional. He came onsite to get a bid, and measured each piece of my stereo equipment. We spent a lot of time going back and forth about what I was looking to achieve. We discussed placement of the oversized center speaker, and hiding it behind speaker cloth, as well as creating a frame for the television, so it would appear to be like a theater. Additionally, there as a challenge of creating a space for an Xbox Connect. Lastly, I wanted to be sure that the cabinet could grow, if I decided to get a larger tv, or some new componentry. After his initial on-site sizing, I visited Pete in his workshop, where he provided some sample wood, so my wife could feel comfortable with the stain. We exchanged a few drawings back and forth to get the ideas out. Pete really listened and heard me. What he did was amazing. I was worried about not having enough space for my components, as previously, I didn't have all my sonos units under the media cabinet. As you can see from the photos, there is no more than enough room for me to expand. Additionally, he built a magnetic frame around my television. This entire frame can be replaced, if I need to get a new TV, get a smaller center speaker, or have a newer entertainment system that would need to sneak out. All my components are now hidden, so there are no visible lights. This was also a huge plus, as this room will double as a guest room, and the last thing the in-laws would like is shiny blue or green lights of the Tivo, or other components. As it relates to the craftsmanship, the work and photos speak for themselves. I was a bit worried about what might come out, but after seeing it in place, he well exceeded my expectations. This is now my favorite room of the house. I'm trying to get Pete to build me some custom furniture for my bedroom as well too! Looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.

This is the second time that I have used Woodcrafters. Pete is excellent at his trade and can surprise you with not only his ideas but his execution of them. We had an old mahogany entertainment unit that we never used but since we had a baby on the way we needed something more practical. Pete cut the unit out and installed 2 beautiful cabinets with 4 drawers below. The unit fit perfectly and the wood matched to the existing space. He also did a beautiful Zebra wood dual vanity that looks awesome in our remodeled bathroom. I respect Pete's honesty and integrity and woul recommend him to anyone.

The work and professionalism were a big standout, Pete is one of the most easy to get along with people I have met. I sent him a few photos of the furniture in hopes he could give us at least an idea of the cost, his response time was superb, not only on the time taken to respond, but also the cost was reasonable. I would not say Woodcrafters is the least expensive but again reasonable and the big stand out is the quality and efficiency of the work. We had taken our set to a few other refurnishing company's, most were more expensive some excessively more; and also quoting times as much as 3 or 4 times in repair time as Woodcrafters. This is a turn-key operation with an exceptional work ethic and customer service baseline, easy to talk to and best of all, high quality of workmanship. Can not go wrong with this group!

Pete responded very quickly to my initial call. He came to my home for an estimate. He was punctual and professional. After discussing a few designs and agreeing on what would be built, I paid 50% of the cost and he gave me some rendered designs of the media center. It took approximately 6 weeks to build. Installation forl both the media center and reading bench was approximately 4 hours. He made sure that I got both pieces in time prior to a dinner party I was hosting the following weekend. Pete was very nice to work with. He is professional, punctual, and knowledgeable in his field. He was able to provide recommendations and provides quality pieces and workmanship. I have recieved a lot of compliments on both pieces.

Pete is hands down the best we have ever used. He is the only woodworker we trust with the major installations that go into our home. Our library, which Pete designed and constructed, is the focal point of our home. Every person who walks in comments on it and is simply amazed. It is a full 12' high, complete with ladder -- and Pete used a special finish that will keeping it looking great for years to come. Our mantle, while a simpler project, also turned out great. Pete selected teak with a beautiful grain that really adds warmth to the room. His installation was very professional -- making sure it will be able to withstand children hanging from it. We simply cannot say enough about Pete and WoodCrafters. We look forward to using them again in the future, and send everyone we know to them.

We had Pete build a wall unit for us previously. When it came time to remodel the kitchen we really wanted to install custom cabinets but thought it would be out of reach. As a result, we explored variety of cabinet manufactures (Bentwood, Omega etc.) through a couple of kitchen designers to discuss our options. In the end, Pete was clearly the best choice. We went forward with Pete and he delivered as promised. He built custom kitchen cabinets for us sized exactly for our space and with all of the bells and whistles. He also built a one-of-a-kind island for us. We could not be happier with Pete's work. In addition, he is a great guy who clearly takes pride in what he does. A kitchen remodel is a major expense and the cabinets are a big part of this. I would strongly recommend Pete and Woodcrafters to anyone looking for a high quality cabinet maker who will do what he says he will do - and do it at a fair price.

During installation we asked that a few concerns we had be corrected Pete handled these request. He did come back several times in a very timely manner to make a few changes after installation. When the granite was installed on the island (by different company) there was a problem with the granite leaving exposed board between the granite and cabinets. Pete came back and installed molding under the granite which added cosmetically to the look of fine furniture. He did this at no additional charge.

Pete was amazing to work with I can not stress that enough !!! He was so patient with my changes and helping me find just the right color for my kitchen cabinets. everyone that has seen them so far loves them they actually come up and rub them ohh and aha the color. Installation on the cabinets was as smooth as butter ..I loved his work and professionalism so much he is now designing and building my fireplace mantel

Pete was very professional. He was always punctual and had the work completed when he said it woukd be done. We are really pleased with the beautiful cabinet he built and appreciated his ideas regarding the design. The kitchen cabinet is a great match for our other cabinets.

Pete, arrived on time on the same day I called, and as soon as he received the matching cabinet front he was ready to come and do the installation. It all went very smoothly and I'm happy with the result. It's a much better use of the space to have the trash and recyclable together in that space. I'm an architect and very detail oriented so I let Pete know exactly what I need and he understands my sketches and ideas and can deliver what I'm looking for.

Pete did a great job on a custom built book shelf. I selected a design from his website and he came over quickly to review the space and give me an immediate estimate. The project was completed within his estimate of 6 weeks. Over the course of the project he was very quick in responding to emails. Everything about the bookcase, the stain, measurements etc. was perfect. Definitely would Call Pete again for any other custom work.

We contacted Pete after reading numerous Angie's List glowing reviews and are thrilled with the results. We were seriously considering another company that did excellent custom cabinetry in 2 friends' homes. Pete listened to our ideas, added some of his own and won us over. He is a master craftsman who really cares about creating high quality cabinets. We weren't sure that it was possible to frame our existing mirror that ran nearly the full length between the two walls on each side of the vanity. Pete responded to the challenge and created a perfect fit. We are thrilled with the results Pete is also the fastest responding contractor I have ever worked with. He was answering emails within minutes. To sum things up, if you are remodeling, just call Pete and you will be writing a glowing review too.

I found Woodcrafters based off of all the positive Angie's List customer reviews. I had met with several other custom kitchen cabinet makers before finding Pete at Woodcrafters. I was very impressed with Pete's experience, work ethic and attention to detail which came across immediately the first time we met. He was also very responsive and very prompt which made me feel very secure as a customer because I knew that he was reliable. I had already ordered Thomasville kitchen cabinets from Home Depot before finding Woodcrafters online but if I had met Pete first I would have asked him to build all of my kitchen cabinets. I had an awkward space in my kitchen corner that I wanted to build a specific pantry/broom closet so I sent Pete the photos and description of what I needed. He came out to my house and took measurements and photos of my kitchen cabinet door sample. He was very meticulous, courteous and personable. After I paid my deposit, Pete began working on the cabinet and was very easy to work with. I was impressed by the fact that because he really wanted to match my existing kitchen cabinet designs EXACTLY, he went out of his way to go to several Home Depots to look for my exact door sample design so that he could match it. Although the size of my bead board cabinet door was hard to find, Pete searched several avenues to ensure the best match in door design and color. He also communicated with my Home Depot kitchen designer regarding the exact specifications of my plans so that the cabinet that he was building for me was matching. On the day of the install, we ran into some job site issues that would have prevented the installation of my cabinet. Part of my wall was blocking the back of the cabinet but instead of charging me more money to modify it, Pete worked a few extra hours that day to ensure that the job was done correctly and on the same day, just as promised - without charging me more for the labor! He also painted and installed my crown mouldings at a very reduced price which was very reasonable considering the extra labor involved. A week after the install, I noticed that one of the hinges was loose, so Pete was willing to come back at no extra charge to handle the quick fix. I am thrilled at the quality of the custom cabinet he built, the excellent customer service, and beautiful matching cabinet. I wish I had met Pete earlier so that I could have had him build my entire kitchen! Pete at Woodcrafters did a wonderful job at our house. He was able to take our vision and build our cabinets exactly as we wanted them. We live in the San Gabriel Valley and Pete?s shop is in the OC, but we never heard a complaint about the distance of the job. We were able to communicate through email, which turned out great because Pete always responded promptly. I supplied Pete with detail drawings and images of what we liked and Pete was able to give us exactly what was shown. I was impressed with his quality of work, professionalism and ability to execute our design. I interviewed a few other cabinet guys, but my wife and I felt most comfortable with Pete. Pete at WoodCrafters is PHENOMENAL! I am so impressed by his quality of work, professionalism and ability to execute. I supplied Pete with a detailed schematic and consulted with him on my cabinet build. I evaluated approximately five carpenters for this job. Among them all, I felt the most comfortable with Pete. He inspired confidence and he was extremely straight-forward with pricing and schedule. Other contractors drug their feet with providing any type of estimate. The design the Pete built was fairly complex with different types of angles (in order to keep the cabinets and shelves low profile). During the entire build process, Pete kept me in the loop with progress updates and pictures at various stages of the build. This gave me assurance in the finished product that I was buying. Pete's assurances in the quality of his work are absolutely true. He is an outstanding craftsman and I highly recommend his services. I will be calling on him for any other carpentry or remodels in my future. A+++

We had gotten 3 quotes for making our home office. Not only was Pete the most reasonable of the three, but he was also giving us more for our money by using real wood (maple) for the drawers, instead of melamine board like the other quotes we received. From the moment we initially spoke on the phone for a consultation, until the completion of our office, Pete was punctual, professional, and courteous at all times. He showed up when he said he would and finished the project right on schedule. He was responsive from the start, providing us timely 3D drawings to approve and communication was very smooth and easy. He is also very accommodating in making changes to the project plan prior to installation without adding significant cost as a result of the changes. The completed office was top notch. The cabinets, bookshelves, easy glide drawers, and wood table top were of excellent quality. He and his crew of two other men installed the office in one day. In fact, installation occurred on the day of the LaHabra 5.1 earthquake, yet there was absolutely no damage to anything. All of it held up extremely well. After he left, we found out two of our file drawers needed to be trimmed down a bit in order for our file folders to fit. He came back that weekend to fix them. This shows his excellent customer service and how he guarantees his work to your satisfaction. If you are looking to hire someone for custom cabinetry, look no further. I would not hesitate to refer Pete Pena to anyone, and already have. He is not only a great person to deal with, but a true craftsman in his field.

The communication with Pete was via email and he was always prompt in replies. The refinisher who picked up the table brought color samples and we picked the exact color we wanted. It was finished in less than two weeks and delivered back to my home. The refinishing work is wonderful and I love the table - it's like a new table! There is no sign of the cigarette burns, scratches or any other damage from it's 50+ year life. I felt the price was a tiny bit high, but overall probably worth paying so I didn't have to tie up my garage for months trying to do it myself.

It went very well. Pete came the same day when I called him and we discussed the project. I'm an architect so I sketched what I wanted and asked for his advise regarding constructability. He interpreted what I wanted well and he prepared a 3D image for me to approve by email. Once approved he took 4 weeks for production which was the estimated time he had given me. During that period we corresponded with more emails and sketches by email and text. The finished product is really nice and the quality very good. We are very happy. We got what we were looking for.

Pete is a nice guy to work with. I took a color sample that I wanted my wood bathroom cabinets to look like and he was able to match this perfectly. The work was completed with high qualtiy hardward and products. They completed the project and installed the cabinets when they said they would. Pete was also good about following up to make sure I was completely happy with the final work. For anyone looking to have custom wood working, furniture or cabinets, I would highly recommned Pete at wood crafters.

Based on Angies List I decided to call Woodcrafters to get an estimate on a new custom built computer desk and overhead cabinets and I'm so glad I did. Pete answered the phone and fortunately for me he was not busy at the time so within 30 minutes he was at my house to listen to my needs and provide me with an estimate. His estimate was based on a length of about 6.5 feet and made from alder wood with our choice of stain. Within 6 weeks Pete was ready to install our new computer desk and it looks fantastic. If a fine wood finished project is what you're looking for then here is your company. We will definitely be calling Pete again if and when the need arises for future projects.

We did a major remodel on our house - gutted two bathrooms, installed new flooring throughout the house, removed and built new walls and enclosures, etc.. I worked with twelve different trade vendors and Pete was by far the best in every way imaginable. He said the pieces would take six weeks and guess what? He completed and installed them in six weeks!! He was the only vendor that was true to his word and the quality of his product is phenomenal!! My drywall guy noticed that one of the mirrors Pete installed was 1/8 of an inch off so I called Pete and he came out two days later and readjusted the mirror. I wished I found him sooner because I used another cabinet maker for my media niche and home office. It's been four months since I gave them a deposit and the pieces are still not done. I would use Pete again in a heartbeat! Thanks, Pete!

We wanted to replace out kitchen cabinet doors. Pete was prompt in responding to our request for an estimate and provided suggestions to make additional changes in the drawers and shelving to make the use of the kitchen more convenient. We made a selection and he then provided us with a sample of the color that we chose. When we did not like the first color samples he provided us with additional samples until we were satisfied. Once he started the project the work was done promptly and done very well. The appearance of the kitchen is greatly improved, and we are absolutely delighted with the new drawers and shelving that he installed. He came back promptly to do some small touch up work and has offered to come back any time if we have any issues with the work that he did. We will use him again should we need any additional work done in wood in our house.
