Ron Romero provided an estimate to paint the inside and outside of a house we are selling. His bid included more than a competitors bid (which was a $1,000 more) and included so much more. He was instrumental in selecting the color combinations so the finished product was harmonious. He suggested painting items to blend in that we wouldn?t have even considered. His crew did an exceptional job and finished in 3 days. They were thorough and touched up spots we suggested without question. We would highly recommend them and won?t hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.

Immediately after job, paint on sills started chipping off, and you could see the previous color. Ran hose on wall, and paint started chipping off. Contacted owners. When they came out, they said I was being too picky. When asked them to sand again and repaint, they said they would call me back to make an appnt. When I called them, they told me they would be on vacation and get back to me. When quoted price, I was told they would take a credit card. When job was finished, their son refused to take a credit card and wanted a check immediately. 3 years later, still can not get them to come back.

Ron was eager and responsive up to the appointment time. Shortly after he and his crew finished painting my house I noticed many missed spots so I called him and asked him to come back to paint over the missed spots. Ron stated I was too picky but he would send someone over anyway, It is now three weeks later and no one has come by to paint the missed spots. I called a second time but this time he stated it was considered a touch up and he would have to charge more. I explained they were "missed" spots/areas from the initial appointment. He reiterated that I was too picky and said he would send someone over and hung up on me. It is now two weeks since he hung up on me and he still has not come by to paint the missed spots. I had a witness view his work and they have come to the same conclusion: shoddy work. He even missed the entire side of my neighbors home when he painted their house 2 years ago.

Ron came and quoted us right away. In all he was at the house less than 10 minutes. He wrote down numbers and handed me a contract and a few paint samples in a brochure. I had seen his ad in our local paper and decided to call him. His price was decent. We went out and got additional paint samples because we were not crazy about what he'd left us. We called him to start the job and he came back to the house. No paperwork was ever signed by either party. We talked over paint colors (never on any of the paperwork or in the ad did it say we were limited to a specifc range of colors or paint types) ... we showed him what we had selected and he poo poo'd our choice. He said "oh, you won't like that" and he went back to his original brochure. After arguing with him for 10 minutes and having to walk away for a few moments or explode.... we agreed to use his color because we presumed after 35 years of painting he knew his stuff. WRONG!!! His crew showed up a few days later as promised. They taped off the necessary areas BUT .... THEY NEVER WASHED OFF THE EXTERIOR OF THE HOUSE OR PRESSURE WASHED OFF THE OLD PAINT. We also had some other areas painted in our rear yard area. AGAIN...THEY NEVER PRESSURE WASHED THOSE OR PREPPED ANY OF THE AREAS OTHER THAN TO TAPE THEM OFF. He finished the job quickly. They had taken down some items that were hanging and we couldn't find them. We called him several times and he gave me his worker's phone number rather than call the guy himself. Already a RED FLAG was going up. We never heard back from him and wrote to him and asked him to replace the missing item. He never replied. THREE months after he painted, it started to peel. Old paint bled through, spots reappeared. We wrote letters, included pictures and nothing was happening. We asked him again, to replace the missing items. He replied on a post it note and said for ME to call him. I even went as far as drawing up papers for small claims. FInally his people came back out and repainted some of the trouble areas. They also came back again .... it was raining .... and they painted. It has now been over a year since they originally painted and they've been back 3 times to fix peeling paint. Masking tape is STILL stuck to my window frame and won't come off. Oh, and they never painted my window frames either. They juist left them. After the first peeling incident, I called other painters. EVERY one of their quotes included prep work that included pressure washing and scraping peeling paint and water sealing the lower portion of the house and garage and if I chose to paint our fence/wall, it was also to be water sealed.. I asked Romero & Son to pay for having my house re-done. He offered me about enough money to paint my front door. It was an absolute joke! They are unresponsive, they have an F rating through the Better Business Bureau and I would never recommend this guy to anyone. He doesn't even reply to text messages. On our last inicident with him, he promised a crew would be here on one day and no one showed up. I had canceled 4 other events that day to be sure I would be here. I called him and he acted like he knew nothing of it. He rescheduled the date and then his people showed up 3 days beforehand. They've been here fixing things so many times that we actually have no paint left. His prep work is non existent. If he charged a dollar to paint the house, I'd still never use him. Our deal came with painting a inside room for free. We never took him up on that, thankfully. If for whatever reason you do use him, don't give the payment to his workers, mail it to him. This way you have a chance to look things over and withhold final payment till you are satisfied with his work. I know this paint job will maybe last 3 years. IF we are lucky. Very disappointed in the work and in his business skills. Just an update... 2 years later and still fighting with him to paint our place PROPERLY. Paint is peeling, things are rusting and he keeps insisting he is a nice guy and a pro who's been doing this since he was 17 (so about 33 years of experience). Glad to see others had issues with him as well.

I liked the job that they did for me so well that I had them do my mother's house. They were on time. He came with a crew of 6 men and started early in the morning like they had promised. One of my outdoor lights got painted and I didn't want it painted. They found an exact duplicate and installed it for me.

They performed inadequate prep work, and the paint started to peel within the year. We had to call multiple times to try to get someone to correct the job. Finally someone did come, but the repair did not last. This, too, was peeling within the year.

Painted only certain sides. Painted windows shut, damaged the screens. Paint on the brand new driveway. The paint is chipping. The brand new gate was broken. The stairs were never finished. I took them to court and won. They overcharged also. There are 4 brothers and a Mother that are involved.
