John and his crew were knowledgeable, professional, punctual and responsive. Materials used were as good or better than competitors. Pricing was reasonable. Yes! We would hire John again.

The install and process went good. Loved the final product, but not good customer service after the fact. The only issue I had is that the contractor never returned my phone call about a small issue with one of the panels being bent slightly. Still to this day the we have not heard back from them.

Initial quotation experience with John was outstanding. He was very informative, knowledgeable, helpful and pretty much an all-around good guy. The price seemed good when compared with other and quot;per square footand quot; ballpark quotes, so we went with them. The demo crew was 2 young college kids, and they were OK except for the very poor job they did on patching the nail and screw holes from the old hardware. Then the installation scheduling got messed up. The first crew showed up at about noon, took one look at the job and said and quot;we need to go to Home Depotand quot; - about 5 minutes from our house. Two hours later they returned and ate lunch on the curb. They did most of the required wood repair that afternoon, unloaded the Alumawood material, and left. No clean-up. The next day they returned in the morning, told us that a different crew would be taking over, cleaned up their mess, took their tools and left. An hour or so later, and quot;Tony's crewand quot; showed up. Much more professional, and they got the entire cover up that day. But - I had to point out the lousy patch jobs from the demo guys before they did anything to sand them down. They were short 5 endcaps, so promised to come back the next morning to put them on. They didn't show, so we put in a call to John. Tony's crew was back the following day and installed the caps (we never heard back from John to confirm that he got our message and would take care of it). In the meantime, we had taken a look at the work and found a couple of flaws - one crooked support beam and old concrete remaining on the top of the brick columns. Tony took care of both on the spot. But they and the bad patches shouldn't have required us to tell them what needed to be done. One other item - the design and wood repair required some roof work and shingle repair. In doing that, they got several chunks of black roof mastic on our concrete patio, and in working, spread it around with their boots. I asked them to clean it up, which they tried to do by scraping it. That got most of the big stuff up, but managed to spread the black around even more. I told them to leave it and have been using a variety of solvent and cleaners since then to make things a little better.
