Description of Work: Secured loose dryer exhaust vent. Used liquid nails to keep a sagging piece of vinyl up on French door slider system. The gentleman in charge was good, but his son was not an experienced carpenter. He was nice, but his time should not have counted for 1 hour of the 2 hours of time allotted, as he required his fathers help and direction to accomplish the work required.

 + -1 moreI had trouble when initially trying to schedule them. Once we had an appointment, they showed up very l late. I asked them to replace a sink and they ended up breaking my heat valve. They owned up to it and went to the store to get the part and replace it. They were inexperienced and the workmanship was very poor. I would not hire them again.

Description of Work: The two workers were very punctual and polite. They completed 3 tasks - installed a new doorknob, hung a large mirror over the fireplace and hung a grouping of pictures on a wall. Overall they did a good job, but the mirror had to be rehung (the line to hold the mirror was showing when it was first mounted). I asked to do a repair to a towel rack in the master bath, but for some reason he could not do the job.

 + -1 moreDid not show up to first appointment and did not call to cancel. The second appointment two men arrived and completed the job. They did good work but (compared to other handymen I hired in the past) I thought the price was a little high.
Description of Work: Purchased Angie deal for 2 hours of Handyman Service for $75.00. Front Door- adjusted existing weather stripping and both strikes and painted exterior door jam that was water damaged. Garage door - adjusted existing weather stripping and strike plates and painted the door. Cost $75.00 deal, plus additional 3 hours for 2 men @ $70.00 an hour = $420.00, paint & materials $26.13.

They were to return to sand the patch they put in and paint the door as well as replace a hinge on the kitchen drawer. The company still has not returned since February. I have been told that they can complete the door, but the company is not sure about the kitchen drawer. I would like them to fix the door and return the hinge.

 + -1 moreHe showed up with two people so I only got one hour. I was hoping that they could do more than they did. It took them 45 minutes. He did give me two hours. I don't think that they are knowledgeable and it's to pricey. He was polite and I didn't get what I wanted. I wouldn't recommend him because he was pricey and didn't know what he was doing. I had to show him how to do it. I didn't incur any extra cost.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for Handyman and More. Put a headboard and bed frame together.

 + -1 moreI purchased this deal the first week in December to have several things fixed to get my house ready for a December 28th dinner party. The most urgent was two drawers in the kitchen. Twice this provider said that he would call, and didn't. He said he forgot to call, that they were busy on other jobs and they didn't call to let me know what was going on. I am unhappy with their communication. I am easy to work with, but they have been unresponsive to my calls and e-mails and I do not want to deal with this company. It is making me lose faith in Angie's List. This is the second deal to go south as I am still waiting to be contacted and scheduled for the car detailing that has dragged on for months.
