+ -1 moreI had just changed my battery so my internal diagnostics were not fully updated yet. I drove my car over the weekend and came back for my re-check. There was no additional charges other than the certificate, which I hadn't paid for yet. These guys have worked on my cars multiple times and I trust them tremendously.

Description of Work: smog repair, replaced MAF sensor, troubleshot bad A/C selector and airbag |system and small cooling system leak. They recommended watching the car due to the high cost of repairs as they are noncritical. They are fair and honest and I recomment them highly.

They did a great evaluation, explained what it needed and what it could live without given that I intended to sell the car after the service work was completed. + -1 morelRepairs were made from the list that was drawn up that included all that was needed to be done to the vehicle. And with the plan of working in multiple visits to take care of everything, of immediate concern was a power steering pressure hose. So that was replaced and the cooling system was gone over. The oil was changed and all fluids were checked and lubrications were done. Air filters were replaced Wiper blades were replaced and generally it was put in sound order until my next appointment when the brakes will be worked on. One step at a time and it is getting done. I very much like my older vehicle and it is more than worth it to me to invest in repairs to keep it operational. Thank goodness for Dan LaRose, such a fair and honest man, who does not say no when it comes to working on cars like mine...and too bad for the others that won't ..
Description of Work: In July, Fitzgeralds made an assessment of many needed repairs, as my vehicle is an older model. While I had been going to them for a couple of years, since my last visit they had hired a additional man to work at the service desk to free owner Dan LaRose to do more of the hands on work himself, as well as other duties. In the end, all was saved, but I almost terminated my relationship based on this new man's comments about my vehicle. Thank goodness that with a later phone call to Dan, he made sure that my vehicle would continue to have the top notch service provided to me before. And further, Dan helped in making a 'plan' to get repaired those things that were prioritized in order of safety and importance. He was considerate to me, a widow, and told me most kindly that he would do all he could to keep my car operating in good and safe condition. And I might add, that though some costs were high they were all fair and I knew beyond any doubt that the work was completed in a conscientious manner. Dan saved the day, and one customer (me), over his employee who knew everything about the auto repair business, except for one important thing...Dealing with people ..with kindness and understanding.

+ -1 moreWith new pollution laws getting air con recharged is not a simple process anymore. The whole process was explained and pricing was also explained. They did a very good job and I would use them again.

Description of Work: Had a hot start problem, they took quite awhile to diagnose and wound up replacing the MAF sensor. Not sure that solved the problem as it has happened again several times. I do appreciate that they have a 24/24 warranty but I wish I felt safer and not wondering if I will get stuck somewhere and have to get towed again.

Description of Work: I'm a shade tree mechanic so I do most of my work myself.The exceptions are when a lift is going to be involved or the fix is such a pain that I can't be bothered. Fitzgerald's has helped me out twice. Once when the A/F sensor on the firewall side needed replacing and once when the downstream O2 sensor literally fell out of the exhaust system. Their repairs were fast, reasonably priced, and excellent workmanship. Fitzgerald's are now my go to guys.
