The drain was cleared in a reasonable amount of time. The area was kept neat and clean. Joseph tested the drain to insure it had been cleared properly. I was very pleased with the results and the price. Joseph is a professional and his work shows that. I will definitely use him in the future.na

After 10 years of no problems, the pilot light on the hot water heater went out. Hoped it was a one time thing but when it began to happen repeatedly, I called several people. They all recommended replacing it at a cost of $900 to $1100. That seemed extreme especially when a little research showed that it might be something as simple as a $25 thermocouple. Searched on Angie's List and found Gardner Plumbing in my neighborhood. Spoke to Joseph Gardner and he explained to me what the problem might be. He came to the for a free estimate and told me the thermocouple was bad and would run $185 to repair. He explained that this might not solve all of the problems (the valve could also have failed) but guaranteed his work so I had him take care of it. Unfortunately, about a week later, the pilot light went out again. So I called Mr. Gardner again and he told me he would find a valve for us. As the hot water heater was the original in our house, it was 10 years old making it hard to find the valve. Mr. Gardner tracked one down in Los Angeles, went out there to get the part for us, and installed it without charging us labor (only the $220for the part). As the hot water heater is still in very good shape, I was pleased with this solution and would contact Gardner Plumbing again.

Joseph called and showed up on time. He is the owner of the company. He was very professional and wrote down everything on the work order and explained complete details of work that was being performed. I had to return and get a different faucet that could work properly with my sink dimensions. He offered his help and spoke to a Home Depot specialist regarding my specific faucet requirements and parts he needed to finish the installation. Joseph was very nice and courteous and I would absolutely recommend him to my friends and family.

I had been cleaning, and emptied a bucket of dirty water down the toilet. I had forgotten to take the cleaning rag out of the bucket and it went right down the drain and clogged up the mainl ine from the house. I called Joseph, on a Sunday, late in the afternoon. He got right to work and had the problem fixed quicklly. He obviously knows his trade well. I highly recommed him.

We have not lived in the house long and couldn't find a mainline cleanout, so clearing the blockage was very difficult to do. Joseph had to try to access the system from several places, none of which were ideal for the purpose or convenient. He spent the time to find a way around the problem and was very reassuring. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and at a reasonable price. I would call him again.
