i?m finally ready (after a few months) to write this review. i?ve been so livid at steve niedziela, the i-won?t-shut-the-heck-up-because-i-just-can?t-get-enough-of-my-own-b.s. owner, that i haven?t been able to write this without an abundance of words i don?t say in everyday conversation. we met steve-the-non-stop-sh@@-talker when someone else sent him to check out moving something from my house to another person?s house that they were going to purchase. it was a very large and involved piece of furniture. he ended up not moving it, though told us about his company (we were moving a couple of months later) so we looked him up and (including the gargantuan piece of furniture) he gave us a price. we agreed to the price, though ended up selling the piece of furniture (which made up about 1/3 of the total move price) and then agreed with him to pay the entire fee anyway with the understanding that he would use the remaining 1/3 for the tips for his movers. he unequivocally agreed, though, as other reviewer?s will attest, he was bold-faced lying. he then proceeded to call, email and text us a total of 9 times prior to the move to ?make sure? i was going to move. of course i was! (see? he can?t hear enough of himself) we agreed on a date and 8 am time. ANOTHER person (the foreman for our move) called AGAIN the night before to confirm. yes, and we?re getting irritated with the confirmations. the foreman said he was sorry and that he?d heard that more than a few times before. the next day (move day) no one showed up. we finally got a text at 845 from the foreman saying something about the truck they were going to use being stolen.at 1030 steve texted saying something asinine blaming penske for the mix up. he then CALLED and asked if i?d gotten the text and demanded that i read it out loud to him, like i was in kindergarten. the guy has ZERO respect for anyone, but we had no choice at this point. it was the end of the month and someone else was moving in the next day. the guys (minus steve, thankfully, as even my super patient husband was getting angry at him) finally showed up after noon and were fabulous, though at the end of the move, i pulled the foreman aside and ask if he knew of the deal with steve that they would be getting 1/3 of the price in tip. the foreman looked shocked and said no, so i called steve and asked him what was going on. he said it was an ?oops? and he would resend the contract with the ?corrected? lower price (original prices minus 1/3) asap via email to the foreman and agreed that the difference i could pay in cash to the workers. we got exact change and paid steve?s portion, then split the remaining 1/3 amongst the workers because we knew something was fishy and they wouldn?t see it if we paid it in full to steve. they left. steve then called me and demanded that i send ALL of the money directly to HIM for ?tax purposes.? i reminded ?mister honesty? that it was all in cash, as he wished (specifically i?m sure to AVOID taxes) and that i knew he wasn?t going to claim it. what was the point of sending it to him? so he could take a picture of it and send that to the irs? i don?t think so. he even sent his guys back to our house to talk on speakerphone because he told them he didn?t make that agreement with us and said the workers were lying! HE was the one lying. his objective was to keep all of the cash himself and stiff his workers. after the phone call, the workers admitted that steve had stiffed several of the workers in the company on multiple occasions before! i would NEVER deal with this guy again and will do whatever i can to make sure everyone knows that he?s absolutely DISHONEST AND HORRIBLE TO HIS WORKERS and DISRESPECTFUL OF ANYONE ELSE. bottom line ? he lies, he cheats and he steals from the people he hires to make him look good. they do make him look like a legit business, so i hope they find work elsewhere. i couldn?t imagine working for or being around this ?business man? btw he?s also a licensed notary, so beware; notaries are supposed to be honest to the core - this guy isn?t. last note - my husband said this review is "too nice"

He arrived on the day of the move but left right away when I wanted to confirm to him to be careful of the new wood floors at the destination house. I just wanted to be assured that he will do his best to protect the property and cover any damages as a result of his work. He kept talking and diverting away from this liability and kept telling me that he has been doing this work for many many years and none had complained and that there had been no accident nor damages. He got frustrated when I kept asking him if he can confirm his liability and eventually he drove away just like that. Prior to the moving day he said he was going to bring with him 3 staff for the move. He arrived with only 2 staff. He was also late on the day of the move.

FAntastic. Would use again and or recommend to any one.
Description of Work: Packed up Furniture and appliances and move us approx 2 miles. They showed up on time, with the proper crew. offered a discount if I help wrap the furniture and fold the pads after move was completed. They worked straight through with no slacking off. We enjoyed the move. The equiptment was in a safe and proper operating order. The price was collected was as quoted. They even moved a refrigerator from the house out to the garage, so that we could use ours that has an ice maker.

The service, price, punctuality, and demeanor were all excellent. The only problem I had was that Steve knew very well that the job may have required two people not one. He quoted me $150 if the the job required 2 people, $125 if the job only entailed the muscle of one person. When scheduling the appointment, he did tell me that was going to call one of his employees to meet him at the site. When he realized that the job in fact required 2 people, he was by himself and went around the community to solicit a neighbor to help him bring the washing machine down the stairs. The lady at the residence from where the machine was picked up called and told me what had happened. When Steve delivered the machine to me, he made no mention about the fact that he asked the help of an stranger. Instead, he replied that the pick-up when great and proceeded to charge me the higher $150 fee. There is a myriad of risks he took not to mention the omission of fact to me, his customer. I will not hire him or his company again.

The service or lack therof was to move all of our furniture and boxes to our new home. The owner stated that he could easily move everything in one trip. (Not true) He charged me extra for three men (He was on the phone on personal calls most of the day). So I actually had two men and was charged for three! He also gave me his max guarantee and promised to have everything moved within four hours for $1,000.00 He did not! It took his two inexperienced men about ten hours with our help, (Three plus helpers) about ten hours to move us. Many items are broken and damaged. I have more unpacking to do and am expecting to find more damage. We had to go rent moving trucks, as his estimate for what he could fit into the truck and move was way off! (He had been to our home for a personal estimate) and conned us into believing him. His truck broke down on arrival, he spilled gallons of fluid onto the driveway, belittled his workers and was rude and abnoxious all day. I could not believe the way that he talked to me in such a rude and dishonest manner. Very unprofessional service and dress, (Owner came dressed in his swim trunks and a white T-shirt). Seller is a con man! Tells you what great equipment he has, It was a board with carpet nailed to it with a couple of wheels, a regular hand truck and tape, along with two toned moving blankets. His hydrolic life was broken, so things got beat up and legs of furniture broken and damaged, as they pushed them against the floor of the truck. I was totally scammed and regret using this so called mover. Go rent a uhaul and pick up two men at your nearest home improvment store, as that is what you are getting here. P.S. The people that were moving into my former home had scheduled this same mover. After seeing how this mover treated us and our things, they cancelled and called another mover.

They arrived on time. Did a walk thru to establish what was being moved and where it was located. Brought in a stack of funiture pads. They do not use shrink wrap as it does not protect the furniture properly. It was the owner and an assistant the did the move as what I had was considered a small move. They offer a helper's dicount which I took advantage of. You can have up to 3 helpers. The only thing the helpers do is wrap and unwrap the furniture, and fold and stack the furniture pads, when done. It was the best move I have ever had.

I did the estimate online and Steve called right away with questions and tips. We set a date for the move, and a time. I adjusted the estimate a couple times since it is based on items being moved and we sold a few things beforehand. Steve called I think the day before the move and wanted to change the date because of the rain. I couldn't move the date because of my work schedule and wouldn't budge on this date. He reluctantly agreed, making me aware that my "furniture would get water damage". It didn't. They carefully wrap everything, and since none of our furniture was new, I was not concerned with damage. They were a few hours late in arriving due to bad weather and traffic, since no one seems to understand how to drive in the rain in Southern California. Once they arrived, they were efficient and quickly loaded the truck. I did help wrap a bit for the "helper discount'. Not a big deal. Steve is funny and entertaining, although he was still not very happy we were moving in the rain. Once we got to the new place they unloaded rapidly and Steve even helped us in furniture placement. they put our bed together and were quiet and fast---something I'm sure our new neighbors appreciated.
Description of Work: Steve and his crew moved us 12 miles from our apartment into our new house. They were very careful with all of our things, wrapping every piece of furniture in blankets. Steve offers a bit of a "helper" discount if you help wrap and unwrap the furniture.

I love the website for this company. You list all your items (furniture, boxes, etc.) as well as the pick up and drop off points (several if you have more than one) and they give you a real quote! So you know what your move is going to cost. So, we put together our online moving schedule and info. Steve called me the next day to see if I had any questions. They sent me the info by mail so that I had all the details in writing, and I was able to add or take items off my list up to 24 hours before the move. If you add or subtract items, your total cost changes, so you can see what each item costs. IMPORTANT: they take PayPal in advance or Cash only. They showed up. We had a minor mishap with our cats cause we failed to put a "Do Not Enter" sign on the door of the room where they were to stay during the move. But Steve and his guys went outside and waited for us to find the cats amongst all the boxes and then we were able to get going again. We opted to help out with our move in order to pay a lower price. All that meant was that we helped to cover each piece of furniture with blankets and secure the blankets with huge rubber bands. We didn't do any lifting or carrying. After packing up, we all had lunch. Steve's a funny guy with lots of travel stories, so he kept us entertained! Then we dropped items off at location 1 and then at location 2. The price was exactly as quoted. Steve even gave us a really nice couch that one of his previous clients didn't need anymore. He delivered it and everything. This was great, cause we thought that we were going to be searching Craigslist for sofas and figuring out how to transport it. Overall, this was a great move. Steve is a funny guy and his employees did a good job. We were pretty involved in our move, but I got the sense that if I had wanted them to take care of everything, they they would have done that too.
Description of Work: Steve and two movers came and picked up all our furniture and boxes in LA, they dorpped off some stuff at a storage place in San Bernardino and then brought the rest to our new place in Redlands.
