DO NOT USE CONTENTS SOLUTIONS. THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH!!! They stole/lost our property and refuse to replace it. We needed to have the floors in our entire house redone last October due to a flood that started in our kitchen. Our insurance company (Mercury Insurance) recommended we use Contents Solutions, and our insurance company scheduled a rep from CS to come do an estimate. We didn't see any point in looking around for an alternative since our insurance company had recommended them, so we booked them to pack, store, and unpack the contents of our house. The day that they came to pack up the house, they were EXTREMELY unprofessional. They arrived an hour late, and the young man that came to the door didn't introduce himself, and instead just handed me a contract. I said, "I assume you're from Content Solutions?" he said "yeah. you need to sign this" Then one of the two women that was with him walked into the house while I was signing the contract, also didn't introduce herself and just said, "where's the bathroom?". I was very surprised by how disrespectful their team to me and my house, and I immediately felt uncomfortable leaving them responsible for all of my property. I had to leave the house to take my dogs to the boarder, and when I returned, the two women were gossiping loudly while packing about how one of them hadn't received any training to do the job. She said "I'm bound to make mistakes but it won't be my fault since no one showed me how." the other woman confirmed that it's "sink or swim" there and no one gets proper training. I called the company to express my concerns and they told me that the project manager that was supposed to be assigned to our project had had a family emergency, and that the three people that showed up to my house worked under him. They told me that it would be over a week before another team could come, and they told me repeatedly that everyone was fully trained to pack the house and that I had nothing to worry about. I also called my insurance company and they said that they wouldn't pay for the extra time if I wanted to wait for another team to come the following week. We had already paid for a hotel and dog boarding, so at that point we had no choice but to continue with the service. When it was time to do the unpacking that's when the problems really happened. It was hard to schedule the unpacking with them since they were apparently very busy and couldn't fit us in right away. Once they did come to unpack, I met them to let them in to the house and they confirmed that it would be a few days before they were finished and we could stay in the house again. I came to the house a few days later when they said they would be done and the house was still a disaster. The team there unloading (completely different people than the team that packed up) had no idea where anything should go. They said that the team that did the packing hadn't documented anything properly and they had no photos or information of where anything should go. They said that it was the worst packing job they had ever seen and that they were completely in the dark about where things should go. I spent the day unpacking my own kitchen and showing them where the big furniture needed to go. Then at 3pm, they said, "okay, that's it for us, you got the rest?" there were still TONS of unpacked boxes and a lot of work left to be done. I called the company and they said they had done everything they could. We began the process of unpacking all of the boxes and realized that what they had managed to unpack had all been put back in the wrong place. So the contents of three drawers were now all stuffed into one drawer in a different part of the house, things that used to be displayed in plain view were now stored on high shelves in the back of closets, etc. We had no idea where to find anything in our house and had to go through every inch of the house and reorganize everything. Through this process, we noticed a lot of things were missing/damaged/broken. We compiled a list of every thing and have been arguing- SINCE NOVEMBER of 2013- with them about getting these things replaced and repaired. The owner, Andrew, has never once communicated with us directly and has only made the woman in the office, Arli, communicate with us. She doesn't seem to know anything beyond what he tells her to say and they won't do anything to solve the problem. They sent two guys to our house almost two months ago to see if they could find any of the missing items of they found one gym bag from our list and confirmed that the rest of the items were no longer in our house. It's now been 4 months and we can't get CS to find or replace our missing items. The either stole our property, or lost it and refuse to do anything about replacing it.
