The "lifetime warranty" isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I had a window break several months ago and need a shutter removed so I can get a new window. Despite repeated calls and emails no one will call me back. The worst customers service I have EVER experienced with any contractor or company that has worked on my home. TERRIBLE...F! After conducting some research B&B Blinds gets TERRIBLE reviews from every website I visited. STAY AWAY!!
Description of Work: B&B installed approximately 30 wooden plantation shutters in my home about two years ago. The shutters are good quality and the prices were competitive.

After receiving a quote of $498 for 2 small shutters for my home from B and B Blinds. I placed an order with their impressionable sales representative name Justin. I paid a deposit of $249 and my check cleared 8-24-2011. I began contacting this company on October 8th, 2011...First I contacted Justin the sales representative, who informed me to call the office on Monday 10-10-2011. At this point it had been 8 weeks since I placed my order. Monday 10-10-2011 I call B and B Blinds and was told by Janelle who answered the phone, that only Tim the owner could give me a status on my shutters. I gave her all of my contact information and ask that she would have him call me with a status. Tim never called me back after me trying to contact him a few more times, so on 10-13-2011 my husband drove over to the place of business and was told by Tim he would check the status and call us back in one week. Of course this did not happen...Once again no contact from Tim. 10-20-2011 I drove over to the business and spoke with Tim requesting a status on my order. It was over eight weeks. I told Tim that at this point since I could not get a status on my order, I would like my deposit back. Tim informed me that his shutter supplier was in CHINA and due the economy, it was to expensive to make the shutters domestically. He said he would contact his Shutter Supplier for a status and call me back that afternoon. 10-21-2011 @ 4:41 pm was the first time Time ever called me back since I began calling to request the status on my order. He advised me that he put in a request for the status of my order to his supplier and if the shutters had not been made yet he would have would them made domestically and I would have them in two weeks and he would call me on 10-24-2011 with a date that I could expect my shutters.10-24-2011 has come and gone and still no call from Tim with a date or status on my shutters. My two week period is now over and It is November 6, ,we are going into my 12th week of waiting and STILL no status or calls from Tim. In my opinion this is a very unacceptable business practice where a customer has to constantly try to contact you and even drive to your place of business to obtain information for a service that you in good faith have paid your deposit and now have my cash in hand and I still can't get any information. I will be contacting B and B Blinds one last time and requesting my deposit be returned. It is my opinion that if you conduct your business this way, I am not sure of the quality of what I will be receiving and would prefer to take my business somewhere else where they can be trusted.
Description of Work: I placed an order for 2 small shutters in my home on August 15, 2011 and was told it would be 6-8 weeks by the B and B Blinds representative Justin. November 5,2011 now 12 weeks later, I still have no shutters or a order status. No services have been performed to my knowledge or in my opinion and I have know idea what the quailty will be because I have yet to see the product.

It was a nightmare. The salesman that came to my door quoted all the prices wrong, they were later raised after signing a contract. The items took several weeks longer than promissed to be delivered. When they were finally installed many peices simply fell apart. The shades on my back window have finally been repaired but came back with a stain and a small tear and all the cheap fabric panels are simply glued onto plastic sticks. When the installer came for the curtains he was here for several hours, drilled holes in my brand new custom painted walls, then finally admitted he had never hung curtains before and did not know what he was doing. The color of my shades throughout my hallway and living room were supposed to be chocolate but are clearly dark purple and certainly do not match my faux suede look brown painted walls. Had I realized that this company has negative reviews on nearly all review sites, had an F rating with the better business buraue and 8 prior complaint filings with the BBB, I never would have let them into my home. Then to top it all off, the same salesman accidentally dialed my phone number on July 28 and for over 5 minutes I listened to him on speaker talking with a potential client, bashing my family and referring to my home and negative reviews. This is the most unprofessional company have ever dealt with !
