Antonio Garcia's Painting

Antonio Garcia seemed like a nice individual when talking about pricing and availability. However, after the removal of the wallpaper in the family room and kitchen he neglected to tell us about the roughness of the wall behind the wallpaper and just continued to paint over it. When looking at the painted wall, we noticed the glue from the wallpaper, lumpiness of the wall, and left over paper that he should have removed. Not only did he not skim the wall to make it smooth and even, but he kept saying that it was the "walls" fault for the unevenness. Up-stairs the same situation occurred, even where there was NO wallpaper! In the master bathroom, the wall seemed to be chipping away after the paint was applied! When approached to fixed these problems, he said that he would not do it and that he would stop right now from doing any further work on the house with a "discount" of only $200 dollars! Naturally, I refused his offer and wanted him to finish the job that the contract had stated. After all of this, he had to re-do the kitchen, family room, and the master bathroom 3 times! Additionally, he would frequently leave the job, leaving his non-english speaking workers there to do the job for him. Since I could not communicate with them I could not stop them from doing this poor work. Even now, I am still unhappy with his work that I have to look at everyday and would NOT refer him to anyone!
