Let's face it, moving is stressful. It isn't an easy process whether you are moving down the block, across town or across the country. That's why it's so important to find just the write movers for your relocation and lucky for us...we most certainly did! Speaking from having had horrible moving experiences in the past, we cannot say enough about Thrifty Moving & Storage. The entire process, from booking online via our communications with Marysa, to the actual nuts and bolts of "moving our stuff" with Luis and Oscar, it was not only painless but downright pleasant! Marysa was our first point of contact and "held" our hands right through to moving day. She answered our questions in a timely manner, was beyond knowledgeable about dispatch requirements and timing and she never, ever failed to keep us in the loop. By the time "the day" came, we felt calm, ready and confident. We were not let down. When Oscar and Luis arrived, we could not have been more delighted. They were fun, incredibly knowledgeable and we could see from the get-go that they had it "all under control." In record time they had our apartment cleared out and loaded on the truck and before we could even think twice, they were unloading us at our new home. Quick and efficient, they constantly communicated directly with us and with each other. It was smooth, professional and the best moving experience we have ever had bar none. We'd like to thank Marysa, Luis and Oscar ... and Thrifty Moving & Storage ... for a wonderful moving experience. We would heartily recommend them to anyone planning a move ... big or small. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. You started off our new home adventure on a most positive footing and for that we are extremely grateful.

The Worst Moving Experience Of Our Lives Dan called **the day before** our scheduled move and said they could not move us on the following day as scheduled. He said 1) his truck broke down and 2) he was short a driver. We had scheduled this move several weeks before, and explained that we absolutely had to move on July 29th. We stayed in frequent contact, and on the Monday before moving day, we called to confirm. “Don’t worry about a thing — we will move absolutely everything.” Strange that Dan couldn’t find a truck; we rented our own, and at tremendous inconvenience and greatly added cost, had to move ourselves. There were several irregularities early on that should have alerted us to the fact that this company flies by the seat of their pants. First Dan was going to come over to give us an estimate; then he decided to make an estimate on the phone. His email regarding the estimate had no estimated cost. Over the period of several weeks, he gave us two different quotes. Dan and Thrifty Moving rank as one of the most unprofessional and unacceptable businesses in the Bay Area, and I advise you to hire a different moving company.

When I called to set up the appointment for the move, Steve, who answered, was very clear about the cost and fees. I hired a three person team and the job took about 3 1/2 hours. They were prompt and began working immediately. They followed all instructions and were not bothered by our yappy but friendly dog. They wrapped all furniture and packaged small items in wardrobe boxes. The team was professional and polite. I will definitely use them again if I move in the future.

ON TIME, VERY OBLIGING, EXPERIENCED IN WORKING WITH IKEA FURNITURE. HARD WORKING. SOME OF THEIR PACKING NOT SO GOOD.

Both times that I have used Thrifty I found them prompt, fast, courteous and well priced. We used four men for the last move. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I would certainly use them again or recommend them to anyone else.

So many things got broken. They were funny guys and they did the job, but we found plenty of things busted. I don't know what happened because I thought the guys were great. There was one guy that had me laughing the whole time. I don't know if the whole crew was bad; I think maybe there was just one guy who didn't know how to handle things. They can do the job quickly, but I would be cautious with delicate and old things. I thought the price was a little high. I don't plan on ever moving again, so I won't need anyone in the future.

The move went fantastic! The guys showed up on time, were pleasant, and were very professional. They took care of my furniture and belongings, and nothing got scratched or broken. They went above and beyond by moving items from the second story condo to the ground floor garage that they couldn't carry on the truck (such as heavy plants, computer CPU, etc.). This made it much easier for me to put the items in my car to take to the house. At the house, they asked where to put furniture and even asked if everything was where I wanted it before they left. In the garage, they put the boxes in rows so it was easy to walk between them and find the particular box I wanted to unpack. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again!

THRIFTY MOVING COMPANY RETURNED MY CALL THE SAME DAY. THEY WERE ABLE TO DO THE MOVE WHEN WE NEEDED IT DONE. THYE SHOWED UP ON TIME NAD WERE READY TO GO. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.
