The final product of our bathroom renovation was beyond expectations. It was showroom quality. All aspects of the project were conducted with us, the customer in mind. There was constant communications between the team and us, as the project progressed through every phase. Schedules were closely met and there was little or no cost overrun. The materials were exactly as we selected and well within the budget that was projected. Any objections we noted (and there were few) were addressed and corrected immediately. As for the crew that did the work, WOW! Their attention to detail and commitment to the job were unsurpassed. Always cooperative and never a discouraging word. Mannie the main construction person was such a nice individual and did a yeomen's effort. He adds a significant contribution to Palazzo and defines the company. George, who did the tile was an artist. Artero the PM was there to guide the work, answer questions and ensure the high standard Palazzo promised. Odie the representative/designer worked so diligently with great patients to give us the bathroom we imagined. Apprehension and renovations go together. That was not the case with Palazzo, great customer service and impeccable workmanship, gave us a welcome experience. When remodeling is in the future, Palazzo is our choice, thank you Palazzo. (Sorry, I thought this was posted on 5/31/18.)

Palazzo just completed the third job in our home. The latest was our master bathroom. We could not be more happy with the results, the room is beautiful. Palazzo is not the least expensive option, and probably not the fastest. So if you're looking for an inexpensive, speedy contractor, Palazzo may not be right for you. What they do is quality work at a fair price, executed by some true craftsman. Jorge, the tile guy was fabulous. Kiersti, the designer, was with us all the way. Helping us choose materials, suggesting design and layout, scheduling workers, and following up on any questions and changes we had as work progressed. Arturo, the project manager, made sure everything was done properly; and Felipe, the owner, visited our home on several occasions to ensure we were happy. Highly recommend.

We called several companies to get quotes and all quoted the same price or higher than Palazzo. The difference was that Palazzo had a showroom for all of the materials available including completed samples. They purchased all of the materials. Their employees did ALL of the work. They promised that someone would be at our house doing work everyday M-F and they were. They finished one day after they told us they would be done when they started the job (approx 6 weeks). They finished on budget without so much as asking for 1 cent over what they had quoted us or asking us to make a compromise on the materials we had already selected. They were very accommodating with us anytime something didn't go to plan. The employees that came to our house were very courteous and professional. That was the basic reasons my wife and I recommend them. The above reasons really put them over the top. They were in the process of updating the wiring in the kitchen and noticed that the wiring for the circuit breaker box was done poorly and in a dangerous way. They fixed it without charging us extra. We also asked them to set up a sink in the garage, which we purchased, and they added plumbing and installed the sink at no extra charge. Most importantly, we had some condition issues with our cabinets when they showed up. I was okay with the problems, they were very minor, but didn't say anything. The owner Felipe, called me and was more upset about them then even I was. They paid to have a cabinet repairman come to make them look perfect. Just the fact that they cared as much with our happiness in the finished product as we did made me realize that we had made the right decision going with them. Our kitchen looks amazing/fantastic/gorgeous and we get compliments on it every time we have guests over. You may have to wait a bit until they can start considering their popularity right now, but if you want quality work that looks amazing, I promise they are worth the wait. We are planning to redo our bathroom in the next few years and I already know we are going to hire Palazzo to do the work.

They are a kitchen and bathroom remodeling company. Overall it was a good experience. They did install a wrong granite countertop the first time, but they came back and replaced it at no additional cost. We were satisfied in the end. When we took a look, it was better than we expected.

Our Kitchen sink had a 30 inch by 3 inch strip of green granite in the front that had come loose. I thought about fixing it myself, which would have been a huge mistake. Palazzo sent out Ezekiel on a service call. He was thorough and diligent. He covered all nearby areas; cleaned and prepped the surfaces; used shims to make sure the joints were flush, and then used two types of glue to set the granite strip in place. One glue was white and only beneath the granite. Ezekiel used pigments in the glue that would be seen at the joints to match the green in the granite. He even went so far as to shade the glue a little darker on one side then the other to match the changing color of the granite. I could never have done the job the Ezekiel did. He is very experienced, and, more than that, he cares about doing high-quality work. He spent two-hours and the price was $245, which seemed more than reasonable for his time and effort.

I'm so glad I found Palazzo Kitchens and Baths! I interviewed and got bids from several companies and no one really "got" what I was trying to do. They all wanted to just replace what was already there, when I needed a complete overhaul. Palazzo had the tile and fixtures I wanted in their showroom and Jerry and Paulo were patient in helping me make choices. I had already picked out vanities and my tub from other sources and they worked with me on that. They accepted delivery for my tub so it wouldn't have to be in my tiny garage for months. And they picked up the vanities from my retailer. I had wanted to swap the bath and shower areas, but Jerry advised against that and it was the right decision. It took awhile to start work (original estimate was mid-September, but it didn't start until late November), but I wasn't on a strict timeline. When work started, Bryan and Daniel were fabulous! They took down a wall and interior doors from my horrendous chopped up Jack and Jill plan bathroom and opened it up completely! When they worked on the one wall that needed to stay, Bryan found a way to open the previous doorway to the ceiling and made it MUCH wider, giving me the open feeling without ruining the structural integrity. He lined up all of the interior jogs in the walls, so that no everything is straight and there are no more unnecessary corners. The tiling was next. Pablo headed the tiling team. It took a long time, but it turned out great. I even changed my mind about the tiling in the shower niche and they changed it without a blink. Bryan came back in and got the tub, vanities and fixtures done in record time, finishing the bathroom in 4 weeks instead of the estimated 5!!!! It isn't completely finished though as I don't have my shower door yet. Somehow that part is really delayed. I've been using everything though and I LOVE MY NEW BATHROOM! It's perfect! And came out on budget even with changes (thanks to my Angies List discount).

We were very pleased with Palazzo's work on our kitchen. Kiersti was prompt and worked with us to provide several different estimates of what we could have done. She understood our budget and time constraints and did not pressure us to get more done than we were comfortable with. Other contractors have seemed to "judge" us for not getting absolutely top of the line everything. Kiersti was easy to talk to and helped us decide what worked best for our home and budget. Palazzo's construction team was fantastic. They started work on the day scheduled and finished EARLY! Unheard of with any remodel! They were polite, and respectful of our home. They did a great job keeping the house clean while they worked. We will definitely use them again.

We had been holding off on getting one of our bathrooms remodeled for years. We finally bit the bullet and started looking for a contractor. Palazzo Kitchens and Baths was one of the 3 estimates we received from contractors. The process with Palazzo was by far the easiest we had experienced. We went through a full material selection process...most would know when I say; this can be a daunting task. (another bid didn't even bother to go over materials) Palazzo made it very easy for us to achieve the design we were thinking, while trying to work with us and our budget. When work started the team was there timely, as they were at every appointment. The workers were very respectful and the process felt comfortable. Yes, we did run into some speed bumps.. But Palazzo was very good about being on top of it and letting me know what was going on, and how they would be fixing it. I have already given a referral to a neighbor that has 3 bathrooms to remodel!

The workers were 2 hours late to the first appointment. I called a few times and then gave up because no one called me back. When they showed up the workers were not aware of what time they were scheduled for. As it turns out, they were scheduled for another job before they came to my house. It was very difficult to schedule the work as Felippe is the only one who schedules the workers, so I had to go through a middle man who wouldn't be able to get back to me for days. I do not understand how this business got onto Angie's List. Or maybe Angie's List has lower standards than I do - I just don't know. When the job was completed by the workers, there was still unfinished trim work we were expected to do. These are not professional people, even though Felippe thinks he is. Big lack of communication going on there. I had originally intended them to install our kitchen floor as well. I was told the big hang up would be me - my selection of tile. I decided in one day, and it took nearly 10 days for them to get an estimate to me. Needless to say I am not hiring them to do my kitchen floor. I would not recommend this company. Big promises, but not great work.
Description of Work: We had our old tile counter tops demolished and new granite counter tops installed. This did not bother to come out and make measurements for themselves, so I ended up having to purchase another slab of granite after the work was started.

We stopped working with them as they took money and they refused to return our phone call which was very frustrating. We prepaid for custom shower and we can’t even go with other bids because they are not giving what we have already purchased. So we are not very happy with them. We found them in Angie’s List and which is why we went with them. They gave us a bid six months ago and we purchased a toilet from them. We dealt with one person and he went to jail because of domestic violence and then he dropped off the project. Then we have been dealing with the owner whose name is Felipe and he just did really unreasonable on not returning my phone calls and dropping off the bid with us which are not cool. We paid $2000 for the shower but he is neither showing us how it is nor giving a bill but it is just a paper work. It is really been frustrating.

Response from Palazzo Kitchens and Baths
After several emails and phone calls to [member name removed] regarding this review, we are now forced to "Defend Ourselves against the slanderous allegations posted on this website. First of all, her project was a detached and uphill 8' x 12' cottage "office" that was completely illegal and never permitted. They came to us with the idea of transforming it into an in-law bedroom/ bathroom unit. After inspecting the unit, we asked that [member name removed] would contract with an architect to draw up plans and contact the city to make it official and permitted. In between this process, they took just about 3 months and every phone call and email was returned to them in a fair amount of time. In RE: to the failure to respond to Phone calls,we have documented phone logs, in Chronological order indicating dates and times of when the Tressers contacted us. All calls were returned in a timley mannner. We never refused to return any calls. We never objected to return any money. We never entered a contract for the remodeling project. It is impossible to "Breach a Contract or be accused of failing to perform when no Contractural body or agreement in place. The only thing Palazzo is guilty of is trying to go above and beyond our normal realm of expertise by bringing in outside help to try and assist [member names removed] in their endeavor of bringing their illegal structure up to code. This " $2,000 custom bathroom" they paid us for was nothing more than a shower pan and shower door, which they were already sent a reimbursement check for. They first came to our store with the intention of purchasing the pan and door only. After finding out about our remodeling services they requested an estimate for the work. Palazzo Kitchens and Baths never entered a contract with [member name removed] for this in-law unit. The project was way beyond our expertise and required many things such as foundation work and other large rough contractor work. We specialize in kitchens and bathrooms. Instead of walking away from the job, I personally went after a general contractor friend who specializes in this type of work and introduced him to the clients. Given the scope of work and such actions committed by [member name removed], this contractor friend was also uncomfortable and decided not to go any further. Being fair, honest and customer driven is what I value and live by. I find it very slanderous and unfair of [member name removed] to have posted such untruthful things about us. If you are reading this and have questions about this matter, please contact us via email info@palazzokb.com or phone call (925) 827-3000 Our reviews speak for themselves. The gentleman that did 90 percent of the work was outstanding. He did a fantastic job! The young lady that assisted in the design and planning did pretty good, but she made (to me) a big error, she forgot that we had a drop ceiling in the bathroom. I was picking up the mirror and light fixture. We discussed serval times if I should have lighting above the mirror, or sconces on the sides. She said what ever I preferred. She told me the size mirror to purchased. She also came out a 2 weeks before the job finally started. Evidently still didn't account for the drop ceiling. I get the mirror, ordered lighting from RH, they are here the day remodel starts. She arrives with Jose (Gentleman that did an outstanding job). I show her the mirror, and lighting. By end of week Jose says this isn't going to work (Higher counter, back splash, wainscoting, low ceiling), lighting won't fit, mirror won't fit! The young lady comes to check it out, And says she didn't account for the drop ceiling. Says we can do sconces on the sides, but it will cost more because Jose will need to re Wire. (Not to mention I have a light fixture to return/exchange). Mind you Jose had already re-wired for current lighting. She didn't account for drop ceiling, but it will cost me more to change light, which we discussed lighting type several times. I said no to spending more money, then was running around looking for lighting that would "fit". I had her order a new mirror. I ordered a new fixture from PB, (Only after going to lamps plus & Home Depot, couldn't find size, finish or style). The new fixture arrived, it was a 1/4" off, and wouldn't clear the mirror. Jose suggested Walnut Creek Lighting. I was in and out in 15 minutes with a new fixture that fits the space and clears the mirror. Jose saved the day! The bathroom looks beautiful, but as time wears on, the mirror looks a bit small, and light fixture looks cramped. We should've gone with sconces on either side of mirror. But at $7900.00 I wouldn't pay more for the mistake made by designer. Paying final bill, I asked about water rebate info for the new Toto toilet, she said she didn't know anything about water rebate. I asked her about Angie's Member discount, she said it was too late for that, that I could use it on the next bathroom. We had Palazzo give us estimates on a master bath (32,000) and a full bath (10,000) at the same time as the half bath. We started with half bath to see how it would go, then do full bath. We're getting more estimates. The full bath has same drop ceiling. The irritation is "not accounting for drop ceiling, which you can't miss, and the wiring for sconces that "would cost more", when this was her error. Also not knowing about water rebates, and not getting my Angie's member discount. (Does that mean they would estimate higher if they know about the discount prior?), all that and knowing we were planning on 2 more bath remodels that we had already picked everything out. If she would have offered the change in light fixture at there labor expense, not mine............ Palazzo has a beautiful showroom, and the young lady, was very good at helping me choose counter tops, tile, sinks, hardware, cabinets/ Vanity style & finish, etc. I think down the line she will be excellent at this profession. We are checking around for a few more estimates, But on the other hand we had already picked out everything, the drop ceiling won't be a issue I'm sure, and we know what to expect.

I went to the showroom and picked out things. I was considering marble and granite although I was comparing a couple different materials. You have to look through books and their variety was lacking a bit in some of the items like the color of the cabinets. They were the highest estimate I got (around $29,000), but they gave me a detailed written estimate. They were very nice. They spent time with me to understand my needs. I liked that everything was in one place. Everything was good except the price.

From the moment the work started, we were truly impressed with the professionalism and care his crew took to move the work forward, keep us appraised of the status, accept our requested changes and involve us in the numerous decisions that needed to be made along the way. Jose, Wesley, Arturo, Gustavo and others ensured that the work was being done with absolute precision craftsmanship and that the timing of various activities had as little impact on our living situation as humanly possible. As with any project of this complexity, there were several issues along the way with some that delayed project completion or required rework, but in every instance the Palazzo crew came through to ensure we were happy with the final outcome. We now have a fabulous new kitchen that far exceeds our expectations in both function and form and would highly recommend Palazzo Kitchens & Bath to anyone looking to remodel. Thank you Felipe and your Palazzo Team for your excellent work!
Description of Work: After months of evaluating contractors, we hired Palazzo Kitchens & Baths to handle a complete remodel of our 50 year old kitchen last summer. We went with Palazzo because of Felipe Franca's personal attention, design consultation and incredible showroom of options. As you can imagine, there were many decisions to be made on this large project including architectural modifications/additions, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, fixtures, trim work, color combinations and timing. Felipe took tremendous care to guide us through the selection and planning process to ensure we had a solid conceptual understanding of how our choices would fit together including excellent suggestions for adding crown moulding and baseboards to the adjoining spaces to tie everything together.

It's been a satisfying experience working with the team at Palazzo. Kiersti's decorating and design expertise was invaluable in the selection of sanitary appliances, wall paper and tile. Ordinarily this would have been a stressful process for me. Arturo did most of the work ? cleanly, quietly and superbly. Several weeks after the project was completed I noticed a small leak on a toilet connection. Arturo came out on the same day I called and corrected the minor problem. Kiersti followed up with a phone call to make sure all was well. I certainly plan to use them for my next bathroom remodel.

Email with photo sent to Felipe to request for quote. After couple of email exchange, a quote of $190 was received. Another email was sent to Felipe since there is a minor misunderstanding of the job. Instead of taking out the existing granite piece, I just need to add another piece of granite to fill up the wall space all the way to the bottom of the wall mount cabinet. However, after numerous email and phone messages left with the provider, there is absolutely NO response for the next 7 days. It is extremely unprofessional when a provider does not response to its potential client. A simple "NO, we can't do this job" will suffice. I can't even imagine what would happen if you try to ask this provider to correct an issue after you have paid them.

The project began early October with a Angie's List of A rated Kitchen and Bathroom comtractors in our area. We called 4 potential candidates and all came to our home and provided an estimate. Kiersti Matejka from Palazzo K&B was the first of the 4 candidates to visit our home visit our home and provide an estimate. Their estimate was fair and we selected Palazzo based on that. We went to Palazzo K&B showroom where Kiersti met us and guided us through the process of selecting the granite and travertine backsplash. The showroom was well appointed and had many samples to chose from. We didn't want the commodity "bull nose" pre cut granite but the custom granite slabs. We knew that would increase the cost but Kiersti gave us another fair estimate and she provided four granite slab companies that Palazzo has an arrangement. She became our project manager and was our point of contact throughout the 3 week construction process. Throughout this process she kept us informed and answered our questions via email and phone conversations. Demolition of the kitchen countertops and backsplash was a one day event on 15 October and was done by Eziekel and Fortino. They measured the templates for the cut granite as they would the team who would do the granite cutting and countertop installation. Installation of the countertop was to commence on the 23rd with the backsplash on the 24th. Kiersti advised that due to a scheduling error there would be a 6 day slide to 29 and 30 October. That slide was the only hiccup in this whole project. Countertop installation was a one day event. Eziekel and Fortino cut the slabs of granite into a free-flowing pattern with only a 4 inch seam in front of the cooktop. Very nice! They also took our late request of using the granite as the backsplash behind the sink vice the travertine. The granite's pattern flowed superbly even after this late request. Well done! Cleanup was thorough. Jorge was the tile guy. Another master who completed that aspect in one day and very professionally. Plumbers came on the 31st and hooked up our new dishwasher and the garbage disposal. Total time from the demolition to the plumbing was 16 days and we were left with a very well done kitchen remodel without new cabinets and flooring. Kiersti stopped by on Friday to take photos. She even liked the work Palazzo fashioned. So we really couldn't have asked for anything else! Kiersti and the craftsman did an excellent.and artistic job and we would most definately use Palazzo again.

After going through approximately a 2 month bidding process with Palazzo, in which I spent hours of time with their designers, the team at Palazzo stopped communicating with me and never bid the project. While it is certainly within their right not to bid on a project, when a client spends hours meeting with them at their showroom, selecting finishes (tile, cabinets), drafting layouts, discussing construction issues, reviewing designs, the least a professional contractor can do is have the courtesy to let the potential client know that they have no intention of bidding the job. It is with a sense of sorrow that I feel compelled to write this review, because I sincerely appreciated all the time and effort they put in, the designer went as far as meeting with a potential vendor to discuss the installation of a spa. The designer even had the spa dealer take apart the spa, and met with a spa technician, with drive time I estimate this meeting must have lasted approximately 90 minutes. I personally spent over 3 hours in two meetings at their showroom discussing the design and selecting materials. In addition, at times Palazzo had 2 designers working together with me. They easily invested 10 man hours of labor into the bidding process. I enjoyed the process and thought they were best to do the job, because they were being so detailed. At our last meeting, after we picked wall and floor tiling and cabinets, I told them I really wanted to get a bid before both they and I invested any more time. The designer told me that they needed to just come over and look at my house one more time to make certain they address the structural issues in the bid. They told me the owner would come out to have a look at it, this was over a month ago and I have not heard a word from them. I could go on and on about all the time and effort that was put into this, I was told and understood that it would have cost 2 to 3 times more then the average bathroom remodel. This seemed like a job the design team at Palazzo really wanted. The funds to pay designers to work on bids that are never submitted have to be recovered somehow, perhaps it's in the job you are thinking of hiring them for. Be careful and don't get dragged into a prolonged bidding process, because you may never hear from them again. I suspect Palazzo will have some excuse for not making the bid, but there is no excuse for not having the professional courtesy to contact a potential client and let them know that after hours of working with them they have decided to back out, no excuse at all!!

I will complete this section when the work is done in September.
Description of Work: We are scheduled to have the work done early in September. The delay was our choice. Meanwhile, we have added a few things to our contract and Palazzo has been excellent to work with every step of the way. Their price was also excellent.
