Everyone we encountered with Golden Gate Movers was extremely professional and helpful to us. Our moving consultant, James, was very personable and spent a lot of time going over all the details of this move, telling us what to expect and the schedule of events. Our packers, Oscar and Dennis, were terrific and worked carefully and steadily for twelve plus hours to get our possessions of twenty-four years packed up. They never complained and were willing to "work around us" to make things easier for us. Our loaders were also hard and tireless workers, who worked right alongside our driver, Mike, who oversees them to ensure that our furniture, appliances and boxes were placed correctly in the largest single moving van they could provide. They loaded and worked steadily for 14 hours, hardly taking a break to eat something. The most outstanding asset this company has is their driver, Mike Roberts, who is their most experienced , with nearly 32 years to his credit. He ensures that the "load" is balanced and all contents are wrapped and taped securely during the loading process.Mike really cares about "quality service" and makes sure the details are covered, like giving you the keys to your mother's antique curio cabinet for safe keeping. In addition, Mike communicated regularly with us during the trip of over 2,000 miles, letting us know where he was and what the timeline looked like. During the unloading process, he worked alongside the men who were sent ( from another company in Texas ) to help him unload, guiding them and helping them place our furniture and boxes inside our new home carefully. the only item that was slightly damaged was a strip of veneer from my mother's piano that came off during the unloading, which was very minor. We were very happy with the entire experience and would highly recommend Golden Gate Movers in Concord,California to anyone contemplating a move!
