Excellent rapport established right of the bat when my wife and I visited the showroom in Concord and met the office manager, Candy Pond, and the sales consultant Shaun Pond. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. This is the third place I had gone for an estimate, and I found their bid to be less than the other bids, and their reputation was excellent. They came out and measured my place, and gave me a list of distributors to buy the granite, backsplash, and floor tile. We chose MSI in Hayward, and went there on a Sunday to browse. We found a very lively and colorful granite, and then chose floor tiling and backsplash tiling to match. We sent the info to Candy and got the material ordered and the bid finalized to include material pricing. We were happy with the price. They sent a crew to remove the old material and we started camping out for a week (no stove or sink, because they were all removed, so it was a bit like camping out). The crew was professional, courteous and fast. They took care not to damage or track up our wood floors. The next day, the owner, Dominic came out to take fianl measurements and create the template for the countertops, with cutouts for the sink and stovetop. He is a master craftsman and very helpful. He put us in touch with a plumber, whom I will review separately (A rating :) and it took about 7 days for the installation of the new countertops to begin. The overall result is excellent. They did a perfect job and we have no complaints.

Candy at the shop helped with the different types of countertop surfaces. When we elected to go with granite, she gave us options on where we could go to look at slabs of granite. This is very important to people looking for granite. If you don't see the slab up close, you can't appreciate the variations each one can have. Once we selected the slabs we liked, she handled the shipment to the shop that would cut it to our specifications as well as payment to the granite company. The only complaint I have is that a job before us took a day longer than originally scheduled, so our installation date was different than initially planned. Considering the job being done, this was very minor. They removed the old plywood (that turned out to be MDF instead of plywood), installed the granite and cleaned up the job site all in one day. They recommended how to keep the granite clean over time. They even recommended a cabinet maker to custom-make 2 cabinet doors for us (unrelated to the granite job). They were very friendly and helpful. I even enjoyed the 2 cats in the office that greeted me each time I went in.

Everything was right on schedule if they were going to be even a little late we got a call.
