They called prior to appointment time to say that they were running early. That was better for me so they came within 30 minutes of the call. They replaced the springs for our overhead garage door, completing the job within 30 minutes. The price was as quoted over the phone when setting the appointment. No problems, no hassles. Job well done!

They looked up the info on my current door, and were able to tell me that for a small price, I could completely change the look of my current door...just by changing out the little window frames. If/when I purchase a new door, I would definitely use them.

My garage door stopped working on Saturday night. Contra Costa Doors originally installed the garage door in 2003, and it has worked very well for the last eleven years. I left a message with Contra Costa Doors on Saturday night to call me Monday to schedule an appointment. Rodger of Contra Cost Doors called me at 8:00 AM Monday and said a technician would come to the house about 10:00 AM. The technician arrived early, quickly diagnosed the problem, and replaced the springs of the door in about 40 minutes.

I called Contra Costa Door Co for an estimate on replacing two garage doors on a building on my property and another estimate for repairs/adjustments on two other garage doors on my home. Alan showed up exactly on time, carefully inspected everything, answered all questions I had, gave lots of good advise. The two installers that were sent to do the job were terrific, polite and professional and did a beautiful job. I was very happy with their work. I highly recommend Contra Costa Door Company.

They were great! They were fantastic!

Installer came to my house right on time. He took the old door down and cleaned up before he started to install the new door. He knew exactly what he was doing. There was a little dry rot on one of the pieces of trim and he replaced all the trim at no charge. I have never had a installer work so smooth, he was done in about 2 hours. Great company and will use again. Highly recommended. If you have a chance go to their show room. .

They gave it some TLC and replaced a part in the opener.

We visited the showroom. Called for a measurement and quote. Had the door installed and were very satified. The installer was very professional and asked us questions about what we needed to make the job look better and last longer. Excellent experience for us.

It went well. We were dealing with a rental and we were not right there and they were great. We met the salesman. He did a great job in informing us. They showed up on time and then we went a week or so later and inspected it. He was pleased. Everything that they said they are going to do, they did. In terms of their price, we did not look any further than them frankly. The quality of work was high. They were very responsive. As far as I am concerned, I think that they were very good.

Called on Friday, repairman arrived on time on Saturday, did the work and was done rapidly with minimum fuss and bother. Gave recommendation to me on how I could do future maintenance. This is the third time I've employed this company over the years. They have installed 3 doors for me and two new motors. Always quick and efficient and at the price quoted.

My garage door opener suddenly went out and we were planning to be gone for a few days. I got onto Angie's List and called a couple of referrals. Contra Costa Door responded the earliest and said they could be out that afternoon. I believe it was Allen who came out to do the estimate. He was very cordial and professional and told me what opener options were available, costs and installation time frames. I told him we were leaving for a few days but I would leave him with access to the garage if he could install the opener for me. He was very helpful and we were able to work out the schedule and also secure the garage after he completed it. When I got home, the job was done, no debris, and I am very pleased with the new opener. Great service.

Quick and efficient. I met with the salesperson and he provided an estimate and we agreed on a model for the door opener and set the date for installation (next day).The installer arrived early (before I arrived at the house) and was already preparing to begin work. He explained what he was going to do and had the job complete within the schedule he estimated. He provided me with a walkthrough and tutorial about the features of the new opener. It was exactly the kind of service you expect and want from all providers. Perfect!

Garage door spring snapped at aprox 4 PM, dispatcher was able to send serviceman out by 6! Audie was knowledgable and professional, very nice guyoverall. Wasted no time fixing problem and was able to use parts on hand to avoid bigger cost. I would recommend Audie for any calls.

Called Friday. They could not come until Monday morning. Arrived on time and finished the job in about 35 minutes. Charged $350 which is about what they quoted over the phone for an insulated door. The price seemed a little high but everything went smoothly.

I felt very confident after speaking with this company over the phone. All options were explained and the arrangement for accessing the garage was easy to facilitate. I am pleased with the way my garage door opener functions and how the process went.

My garage door cable came came unhinged. I called Contra Costa Doors and the representative worked very hard to get someone out immediately. My garage door and opener are 21 years old and they (Contra Costa Doors) installed them on all 34 townhomes 21 years ago. When the technician left, he lubed it and it sounded very quiet and worked beautifully.Thank you so much, I have already recommended them to a neighbor

This company repaired my 1970's (came with the house) door opener about 2 years ago. The individual who did the work at that time was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He did not try to sell me anything, but did say that the motor would not really be repairable once it wore out. So I called when the motor finally did go. Again, a nice clean professional job, no pushy sales, and everything works perfectly!

The cable on our garage door snapped and we'd also noticed that the bolts/hinges on the door itself were popping off. We called Contra Costa Garage Door after reading Angie's list. They were prompt in sending someone over for an estimate, which was competitive for the unit and labor. They not only replaced the Garage Door Opener unit, but happily helped us remove a shelf in our garage to do so, refastened the hinges/bolts on the garage door, and even oiled the tracks/hinges so that it didn't squeak (we didn't realize how loud it was before, but now it's so much quieter!). Also, they arrived on time, finished early and they even offered to help us with installing a new an electrical outlet, if we needed it. They were outstanding!

After five years of living in our new (to us) home, I figured it was time to have a professional check out the garage door openers for the roll-up garage doors. One was rather difficult to raise manually, and I wondered whether the spring tension needed to be increased. The insides of the doors also needed handles to make it easier to raise them manually. I called Contra Costa Door and talked to a friendly and knowledgeable sales representative, who told me the price ($129) without even being asked, said that the only charge for installing handles would be the cost of the handles, and scheduled an appointment with Jeremy for the 1-3 time slot the next day. Jeremy called as he was finishing his previous job, saying he would be there in 15 minutes; he arrived at 12:20 pm. He installed both handles in about a minute, then proceeded to lubricate both garage door openers, adjusted them so that they would reverse when they tried to close on a 2x2 lying on the ground, and checked them for whether they would overheat after only a few cycles (one did). He may have done other tasks while I was having lunch. He then described to me what he had found: one was an all-around complete installation from 2003, while the other one was a 2001 motor unit attached to pre-2001 hardware. Various aspects of the 2001 system were and quot;sketchyand quot; but he didn't see anything that would be worth the money to replace. He told me that spring tension could not be adjusted, that the spring would weaken just a little bit with time and/or use, and the spring it would fail (safely) after 10,000 to 20,000 cycles depending on the quality of the spring. He was gone just before 1:00. $129 seems like a lot of money for an hour of work including travel time, but what with expenses for truck (nice clean van with the business name and phone number on it, I tend to prefer contractors whose trucks are labeled), insurance, office staff, etc. I reckon that the price is and quot;fairand quot; and have rated price accordingly.

This is a great company with no fuss and no muss. Clear estimate with no pushy approach and options. They came and did the work and cleaned up completely. I love my door and the opener. I wasn't sure about paying more for the high end opener, but now love the automatic light and the temperature reading. I highly recommend this provider.

We called because our garage door opener was stopping abruptly and making strange noises. The technician that came out said that he could try to lube the unit but that because is was a gear driven unit that it would probably just throw lubricant all over the garage. We really needed a new one. He gave us the price with both 1 or 2 remotes and we agreed to the 2 remotes. It took less than an hour from the time he arrived until the new unit was installed and we couldn't be happier. The unit is so quiet you can actually hear the garage door and not the opener! This is our second experience with them and we will use them again in the future.
