Description of Work: I contacted Bird's Away regarding our pigeon problem. It took several days for someone to get back to me and the person that did was very professional. He knew of my neighborhood and the fact that most house in my neighborhood were three story townhouses. I was told that someone would be driving by to look at the house and he would be getting back to me. After two weeks, I had not heard anything so I e-mailed the contact and he responded that someone had driven out and that the height of my house might be a problem. He asked to set up a telephone conference to discuss. I gave him my availability but never received a telephone call from him or any further correspondence.

We contacted Birds Away for a quote to try and get rid of a pigeon problem. While the receptionist was very friendly, that was the extent of the help. The sales person did not attempt to call us back, and after waiting and trying a second time to contact Birds Away, the sales person finally said he'd be in the area and check. He came by while we were out, left his card, said he'd send an email within two days. But nothing. After another week and a half, we contacted him again, and he had an excuse as to why he didn't email us and said he'd send it right away (no call to tell us that he's working on it, or had a problem). After another two weeks, we contacted him again and he said that "I sent the email". However we didn't get any nor was it in our SPAM folder, so no email. He sent an email with a single sentence and a large price. Very unprofessional, very slow, not recommended. We felt that we were not a potential customer, nor important to them. In the mean time, one of the pigeon's hatched a couple more babies.

Not having the benefit of any reports available on Angie's List to review was concerning; however, I had given up on trying to obtain assistance from regular pest control service companies. I was impressed from the first telephone conversation that I had with Birds Away staff. The person who provided the estimate was knowledgeable and, to preserve the appearance of my home, offered to have his team paint the wire to match the chimneys! Last Spring, the swallows had made a nest at the top of the highest point in the roof on the second floor. What a nasty mess! Birds Away cleaned and disinfected the area before installing the wire netting. Their finished work looks neat and clean. I am very pleased with the excellent customer service and quality of the work that was performed by Birds Away and would recommend them without hesitation. The peace of mind and not having to worry about swallow and/or pigeon issues is priceless.
