Elizabeth Shutters

Wonderful, Wonderful and Wonderful. Everything turned out awesome. The representative who came out to see us and the men who installed the shudders were great.They were friendly, professional and they clean up their mess (wasn't a lot). We will use Elizabeth Shudders next year to do the down stairs bedrooms and the whole up stairs area. We recommend them to anyone looking for Real Wood Shudders and custom made for your home. Can't wait to get new furniture to complete the look, awesome. Thank you so much.

The job went very well. The sales rep gave us a quote and then met with us, took preliminary measurements, and provided samples of shutters. Another rep came out to take the exact measurements. Four or five weeks later the installer came. He did a great job. We are very pleased and would use Elizabeth Shutters in the future. Highly recommend them.

The shutter replacement went very well and everyone was very complementary about the new shutters. The laundry area door replacement ended up nice but I had/still have concerns. The source of the concern is that the original opening the old door hung in was not square. The installer ended up using a lot of filler to make it look right. So right now everything is great. I am a little concerned about the filled area over time.

Outstanding. From beginning to end. They came quickly to give us a quote (and a great one at that), we were informed of the progress of the delivery and installation and finally, the installation itself. The technician was polite and efficient. The final product looks amazing and exceeded our expectations.

The installation went perfecty. You would never have know that all the windows were just replaced. There wasn't a speck of dirt left behind. They were fast, efficient, friendly, professional, and meticulous!

They were timely and professional. They did a good job when they said they would do. We are happy with the performance. They are a great company with old fashioned (positive) values. The salesman came and measured gave us a quote. He said if we wanted to do it now, he would give us a discount. He then did in depth measurements and picked materials and design. The workers were very nice. Very courteous, professional, clean and very good quality.

There was an initial hiccup prior to my hiring the company. Since they're located in southern CA, they thought Belmont was located in the Long Beach area and they missed the first appointment. Once we got that straightened out, a consultant came to my home and we started the process. The installers were punctual and professional. The installed shutters look beautiful!

The work was Flawless and the installers we're Professional and Courteous. Wished we knew of them earlier.

They were great. The representative of the company was on time, professional and pleasant. She showed me all the options, I made my choice of shutters. The workmen that installed the shutters did a great job. My house is more than a hundred years old and nothing is straight. In spite of that fact they did a excellent job.

the shutters are beautiful. the salesman, customer service and installer were wonderful! very professional, courteous and prompt. the installer was very considerate of the new wood floors that had been installed in each bedroom. the shutters were expensive but the quality of the shutters and the outstanding service were worth the investment.

Two days later I received at no charge, two full sets of hinges and screws painted and ready to install, which by the way took 10 minutes. I have never had such quality of product and in addition such professionalism in support of a product. The shutters exposed to daily south facing sun remain just like new.

Very well. They are responsive, and have a great product. We had used them before for shutters in the bedrooms and would not hesitate to have them provide shutters again. When I priced bedroom shutters, they were in the middle for price, at the higher end for quality. Very easy to work with.

Originally they said they didn't have what I was looking for, but I thought I wanted them to do it because they had a good reputation on Angie's List and I'd had them do shutters for me. If I had it all to do over again, I wouldn't choose them.

I've had to have them back 3 times to do some stuff. I was not pleased with them. They came out and the folding doors were rough and were not folding smoothly. Then they came back a second time and they fixed that then I noticed there was a thick gap next to the molding on the closet so they had to come out and work on that as well. They did two of each closet. I think they are pretty competitive with price. There could have been more quality control in terms of installation. All the service people were nice and even the people on the phone. They were always very cordial but they didn't back up what they said.

I was happy with their service but I bought from them years ago and then I bought more recently. And when I bought more recently I said, hey, these are guaranteed for life and I have some cracks on them. They gave me a little bit of a hustle but when I had all my paperwork they couldn't give me a hustle, they had to come out and fix what needed to be fixed. If I were to buy from them, I might but I don't have any need. I've recommended them to one other person and they are very happy but I'm going to contact them because I have them throughout my house. Hopefully they won't give me a hustle that they gave me before. When I called customer service for product that was under guarantee, they gave me a hustle about it and when they came to the house, they gave me a hustle about it and I don't need that. They should keep their data base and keep their word.

My only complaint with regard to this company is managing expectations. I first contacted them in mid-April. I met with the salesperson late April. She was excellent. Very knowledgeable, and had great suggestions. They had 7 or 8 shades of white. I wanted a wood stain. They had lots of choices. If you are having the wood stained, they need to use better pieces with no knots or other blemishes that could be hidden by paint. So for me, that added $700 to the price. And to me well worth it. The shutters are beautiful, beautiful. The shutters were scheduled to be delivered May 27th following Memorial Day. Elizabeth Shutters was very clear that I needed to have the old window treatments down, furniture out of the way, etc. So I spent Memorial Day doing that. I took down curtain rods, patched holes, and donated curtains. Everything gone. The scheduler called me on the 26th to confirm the deliver of the shutter on the 26th. She is a little scattered, but we worked through it. The delivery was not the same day, but the following day on the 27th. But they were only going to deliver one shutter?? When you have a stain, they install one, you have to approve the color, then they go back and stain the rest. But I had already taken everything down and was not in a position to put anything back up. Also the corners on the top of the frame did not come together the sides of the frame were 3/4 of an inch, and the top was 1/2 an inch. I called. They were very happy to make it right. We scheduled delivery for June 11. As it turned out, I was not able to make that appointment and called to reschedule. They did not know when they would be in my area again (I mentioned the scheduler is a little scattered). So I had to call back two weeks later and schedule. They still did not know when they would be in Fallbrook, but agreed to schedule for July 1st. On July 1st they were prompt, quick, clean, and did a great job. They fixed the frame from the first shutter. They installer said he knew it was wrong when he installed it, but knew he was coming back and would have it fixed. Great - you should have told me. Managing expectations. Great job, great shutters, great value. I would hire them again now that I know how to manage the job. They should have told me about only one shutter being delivered initially. They should have told me which window would be delivered so that I only got that one window ready. They should have told me when they were installing the first shutter about the corners and that the frame would be fixed in the following visit. I began the process in mid-April. It was completed July 1st. So don't plan on a quick turn around.

I requested to be contacted online, and was called shortly thereafter. The estimate guy Anthony called me to make an appointment. He couldn't keep appointments, and then showed up an hour late to our Saturday appointment. He didn't do much other than show us a small batch of samples and measure our windows. He was supposed to email me a quote, but I haven't received one - also, no follow up at all otherwise. I have tried calling their show rooms, but the numbers listed in Google are disconnected. I also couldn't find a number on their mobile website, but I see one is listed on their desktop website - I'll try that tomorrow, but it shouldn't be this hard to be a customer. The samples I was shown looked very nice, though. ---Update; June 18, 2015--- I did finally receive the estimate as noted by Dean's response after calling the main office and leaving a voicemail with the designer, and the designer did come out to my house (albeit unannounced) to apologize and let me know that he'd get me the estimate. It still shouldn't have taken a month to get, several phone calls to the designer and the main office, and a review on Angie's list to get to this point. I'm collecting estimates from several companies now and will update my review as appropriate.
