We design, build and install window coverings and interior doors throughout California and save money by selling direct with Designers and Installers in every city from San Diego to Napa. Description of Work: installed custom shutters for two of my bedroom windows- one is a bay window. the salesman, customer service and installer were wonderful. the gentleman that installed the shutters was very professional, neat and considerate of my new wood floors. the price was high but the quality of the shutters and the excellent installation service made a difference to my husband and me. |

Description of Work: I contacted three shutter vendors, and chose the one with the medium proposal. I was advised of the various types of shutters available, and did not choose the traditional shutter (the one with the rod in the middle for opening and closing the shutters). I am very happy with them, a cleaner more open look since the rod is on the outside of the shutters to the side (one does not see them). I also chose knobs that makes opening and closing easier.

Thanks for the great review, (Removed members name). It sounds like things went really well. The hinges you noted are stainless steel with either a powder-coating or braised finish. They won't rust unless they're wet a lot, so you may want to check the window that's having the issue for (other) signs of moisture like cracking paint or discoloration. Chances are there's a broken window seal letting in moist air. If our hinges are at fault, of course we'll fix them for free.
