David is a rare combination of practical craftsman & aesthetic visionary. He listens to the customer's plans for the project & is up-front re. what's realistic & what's not. In my case, when there was a choice re. how to proceed w/a certain part of the project, David explained the 2 options clearly & recommended the better of the 2, based on my priorities. The sole "4" star rating reflects my sense that the company could use some sort of "office manager" to keep in touch w/prospective customers, reply to their ph. calls/emails in a timely manner, etc., esp when there hasn't yet been a mutual commitment to the job, & the prospective customer is aware that the demands on David's time may affect his availability for a particular customer's job. To the extent possible, a firm & timely reply re acceptance of the job would relieve the customer of the need to seek other options (estimates, times available, etc.). HOWEVER, the quality of the finished product is well worth whatever inconveniences this matter may pose.

I hired David to replace an old wooden fence at a rental property in Chico and he did a great job at a reasonable price. Good communication throughout and very easy to work with. I'd recommend him anytime.

David made some design recommendations in the replacement wood fence that he completed for us that should increase its durability significantly. The fence looks great too!

This section of fence was more expensive than the other sections I had installed, but he used pressure treated wood on the posts and rails and installed a 2x12 kicker board because of an elevation difference in the two yards. Very good job overall.

David installed a chain-link privacy fence for us. It was professional, sturdy, attractive and well constructed. His talent is truly wrought-iron work and when we're ready, he will be our first choice.

I hired David to install a five foot high chain link fence for my dog kennel. I wanted a fence that had to secure all my dogs and look great at the same time.
