Fantastic! A plumber came last week who was a blithering idiot...told me it "was not the valves" and to soak the shower head in vinegar overnight because I have "moderately hard water." I did, still leaked! Kevin from Walt's Plumbing came the same afternoon that I called (fantastic!!) and diagnosed the problem correctly as the valves and replaced both for 2 shower heads. Problem fixed! We talked about adding a heat pump for hot water and he was so knowledgeable and explained so well I am having him do that. We also talked about water softeners and he said it would be very difficult and expensive because of the layout of the irrigation, so I won't do that. Company also goes by Walt's Plumbing. I have used them twice on two separate occasions and can compare them to three other plumbers in the Fresno-Clovis area. Both times my experience was with Kevin. He is prompt and professional. Work was done to my satisfaction both times, and cost was more than reasonable, particularly when compared to other plumbers used in the Fresno-Clovis area. If I need future repairs, I will definitely use them.

Kevin came out and diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermo coupler assembly. He replace it and the water heater has been working fine. This was especially impressive since another plumbing company said the water heater was bad and needed to be replaced to the tune of $1000. Kevin also flushed the water heater to improve efficiency as salts had built up in the bottom of the water heater. He did that on his own initiative to assist the customer. Again I was impressed with his manner, knowledge, and concern for the customer.

I actually learned of Kevin and his company through my brother in Los Angeles, who had called him to do a plumbing inspection on a family home we were getting ready to rent in Clovis. When it was time to get the work done, I called Kevin at Western States Plumbing dba Walt's Plumbing. This is an older home that had been vacant for about a year. Two of the three bathroom sinks were badly clogged and the faucets were leaking, one toilet was leaking, the laundry room hoses were leaking as were some outside faucets. This was a lot of labor. Kevin did a great job and accomplished everything perfectly in my opinion. I thought his price was extremely reasonable considering how much work needed to be done although it doesn't sound like a lot it was. I then asked Kevin to come back out and inspect the water heater and re-light the pilot once I had propane delivered. He did come out again and am I glad he did because he found a problem with the pilot light area of the water heater and was able to fix it and re-light the pilot. I would recommend Kevin and Walt's Plumbing to anyone.
